    not enough serial, but a great stand alone ep
    Nice to see all the players back btw, liked the new role of Hale as acting Ash.

    Again, I'm typing this up while watching the show.

    At the beginning I had a lot of thoughts. Most of them centered around Kenzi's outfit. Then there was that...toy. I both facepalmed and laughed at that smirk on Bo's face. It was just so not her. Yep...I totally get why they like watching the new girl go through decontamination. Seriously, can Anna Silk not be sexy for five seconds? No, she cannot!

    Took them 8 minutes to bring in Lauren. Why do I keep forgetting how hot the women on this show are? It defies logic! Hah! Look at that, all the whining about the bad acting was just that. I wonder who could have predicted that. Undercover Bo has so many nice connotations.

    Trick, when are you going to learn not to get in Kenzi's way. She gets more attractive every season. Hale is now wearing the big boy pants in the fae world. "Get laid lines" Ahh Kenzi I missed you.

    Is that Bo cleaning the floor with a WHOA! Didn't see that coming. I want to buy this show's writers a beer. Bo is getting hit on by amazon barbie. She looks like a barbie doll. It still surprises me how often Anna Silk just laughs all of this off in her interviews. She seems to find it more amusing than anything else. I can respect that.

    Now they're spraying her with a water hose? Do the writers have some kind of access to my fanfic ideas? I need to check my computer for bugs. Now she's getting felt up by amazon barbie? Even I'm a little stunned. Uh oh, they're on to Lauren. Ouch, that was quite a beatdown.

    Oh come on! Those two are STILL having problems? That's getting annoying! Oh, her cellmate is so not getting out of there alive. Kenzi and Dyson are certainly closer now. Is that Kenzi in that horrible, but revealing outfit?! Okay seriously, I haven't even finished that fanfic in my head yet!

    Did Kenzi just press herself up against that gate?! I'm stunned! That rarely happens to me! Wow, I bet some people are going to throw a hissy fit over the uncharacteristic behavior in this episode. Okay seriously, you could have avoided that song! This is the most ridiculous episode of Lost Girl I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to hate on it, but just about every second of this episode so far is totally unexpected.

    Did Kenzi just kiss Bo?! I know it's a ruse but damn! Okay, I'm making a promise to myself not to be surprised by anything else in this episode. I'm going to remember that Lost Girl is crazy and accept it. How come that guard doesn't notice the woman in a bright red outfit in a place she shouldn't be?

    Oh look, it's Bo's old cellmate...and she's pregnant! The Amazons are looking for ways to reproduce without needing men aren't they? Whoa, that smile is creepy!

    Is Lauren getting naked now?! Damnit, I can't keep a promise even to myself. What the hell is Vex wearing?!

    Vex: You have the right to remain my bitch.

    I love you, Vex.

    Dyson: There's no reason to panic.
    Vex: Unless, of course, you're arranging Dr. Everett's funeral. I mean, she'll have to be buried in several boxes.

    I probably shouldn't laugh so much at that. Aww the miracle of childbirth. And of course Bo and Lauren talks about having babies. Because why not? Compared to everything else in this episode that's a normal conversation to have. Uh oh! Caught by amazon barbie. Magic sperm? Okay...Lost Girl...par for the course. Seriously, magic sperm doesn't even rate up there on the Lost Girl weirdness scale.

    Amazon barbie is a man?! Okay...I can kind of see that. And the amazons are pissed. Well that was resolved quickly. For crying out loud, if Lauren and Bo aren't making out in five seconds I'm going to be really annoyed. Close enough.

    Aww, Bo and Lauren want to give a relationship a shot. It's about time! Oh, there's the makeout session. Okay then I'm cool with that. Of course Dyson is going to show up and watch their intimate moment. Bo just killed someone out of the blue. WTF?

    Even though the episode itself was a bit too...episodic for my tastes, the ending more than made up for any shortcomings the episode had.

    Decent episode I guess

    - Loved Vex's "prison uniform"! XD
    - His flirting with the new Ash was entertaining too.
    - All "Hale" the new Ash!
    - I can think of 2 or 3 places Bo could have hidden the Sarsen Stone that would have made it much harder to find...

    I hope that Bo and Doc making it official means we will not have so much angst and love triangle material this year! Of course things with Lauren will take a down turn and Dyson will want his shot at some point, but I hope it will be less tiresome than last season's love triangle stuff.

    I liked a lot of the one-liners in the episode and Warden Frankandbeans was a somewhat unexpected twist too! I just wish the season premiere would have set up some new seasonal arc a bit more and not been another stand-alone episode. Seriously, we got like 45 seconds of the seasonal arc I think.... At least a COTW episode that had more time spent on plot and information and less time spent on getting the characters semi-naked.
    *shrug*



    Overall it was just "OK" to me honestly. Maybe after time passes and I watch it again I will rate it higher, but for a season premiere it was "C+" material..... Nothing overly new or different, nothing unexpected.

    I like the new look of Bo (her hairstyle)! The episode was good, even though I didn`t like how they made the Amazons look like a bunch of pervy and sadistic hardcore women.. But well, Lost girl went totally "Bad girls" with all the prisonscenario.

    The Doccubus moments were adorable, but I`m sensing, that this (of course) won`t last for long.

    Is this backoffice room in the D`aal really going to be the new Ashs audience room?? How unglamorous! I hope they change that.

    Wow I don't really get those results....It's was an good episode but not a great season premiere.... Maybe it's because I don't really care about Bo/Lauren that I wasn't that excited....still the last scene was great

    The first ep really felt like it just picked up from S2. It was strange to see Dyson back to himself, but yeah it's a good thing. From the teasers the interesting evil Bo arc is on its way. I like that they are all pretty much in normal character in the first ep though. The S2 intro had a more apocalypse feel at the beginning, but S3 is def a diff direction and hooked to see what is coming up..

    A bold and daring writing. Great job of Anna Silk, and again a lot of dialogue between the lines. To my mind, more sophisticated and more authentic and free

    That's in the US. The show is Canadian and it premiered Jan 6 on Showcase.
