Most surprising scene for me was when Yao Fei was unmasked. The most amusing is always when IT Lady is in it, but for action it is the robbery/kidnapping foiled. Guess I'll go with....Yao Fei unmasked.
Oliver admitting what Digg means to him, after leaving him out in the previous episode's list of people he cares about, was really touching to me. Sure, Oliver's let old friends back into his life, but Digg's the first new person he's really let in... and that says to me he's capable of growth, which is so important for a character who's so focused on the past and on revenge.
Ha! A surprisingly decent superhero story about the origins of Green Arrow where as usual the best characters are the secondary ones. Airs Wednesdays on the CW right before Supernatural.
(it's not letting me edit my comment, so self-replying to add--) I also really love what they're doing with Tommy. Forward character growth that doesn't suck or involve twenty cliched kinds of angst. Take note, TV, it can be done and still be interesting! Plus, John Barrowman is just amazingly smarmy. Gotta love whenever he's on screen.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletedifficult for me to pick. Loved the Yao Fei reveal...but I had to pick the Digg/Oliver scene at the end.

ReplyDeleteI loved seeing Ben Browder. But if I had to pick just one scene, it would have to be the one with Felicity.
ReplyDeleteGive her the bottle of wine, Oliver!
Felicity is Arrow's bright shining light. She makes every scene better and I'm glad that she's supposed to be used more as the series progresses.
ReplyDeleteWhat's arrow again?

ReplyDeleteI gotta say that I love Felicity and her looks at Oliver (CHEMISTRY), but the unmasking of Yao Fei? I was speechless.
