Once Upon A Time
John Pyper-Ferguson has booked a large guest star role on the ABC fairy tale hit. He’ll play Ben, a “widower who wants nothing more than to help his young son heal from the loss of his mother.” See if you can figure out the mythological character being explored there. Ben’s son will be played by previously announced guest star Benjamin Stockham (1600 Penn). They’ll appear in the 17th episode this season.

I have no idea what mythological character they're alluding to.
ReplyDeleteHmm I had thought maybe Benjamin Stockham might be Bae, but this seems unlikely now...but I wonder if this could be about Rumple and his parents?
ReplyDeleteBut I still can't think of what myth a man named Ben and his son would allude to (other than Lost parallels/juxtapositions of course, which could double as Biblical)
It's strange to think that we are also seeing Snow White when she looses her mother...could Ben also be King Leopold?
I don't know, it's lost on me! :D
As I suggested over at the casting description for the son, couldn't it be Bambi's tale? A long shot perhaps, but I can't think of another Disney or fairy tale with a son losing his mother at the moment. Plus the fact that it's an animal story shouldn't be such a barrier, seeing as Rumple doubles as a "crocodile" and Ruby as a wolf (who almost dated a mouse)...
ReplyDeleteSquee! John Pyper-Ferguson is always amazing in the shows he appears in. This is good news!
ReplyDeleteNo episode title released yet!
ReplyDeletemaybe this character is being explored http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin
