Thanks to The Spoiler Fairy for sending us the following..

For episode 2.16, the guest role of "King Xavier" is being cast. he's 45, has a mean sense of humor, and worries about being able to maintain his extravagant lifestyle since gold has become more scarce in his kingdom. Also being cast is the co-star role of a 20-something "Prince Henry" (Regina's father as a young man), whose marriage could change King Xavier's fortunes.

  1. Ooh, Regina's father is a prince? He's clearly not by the time she's older, so something must have happened by then.

  2. The Miller's daughter can spin wool into gold with the help of Rumpel, classic Grimm's brothers

  3. Maybe he has an older brother? Doesn't become King, but can still live more than comfortably?

  6. This pretty much kills all King George connected to Cora theories. But I like it.

  7. I can't wait for this episode. I'm looking forward to seeing Rumple's fairy tale explored and his connection to Cora. i used to think she was connected to King George but I guess that just got trumped.

  8. Is King Xavier Cora's father?

  9. Cora's the miller's daughter. Xavier's most likely Henry's father and the one who locks Cora up and expects her to spin straw to gold.

  10. So Henry is 2o something and Rose McGowan, playing young Cora is 40? COUGAR!

  11. I had the same thought. But then they cast an older guy for Daniel later on, too, so maybe this time will be the same?

  12. Yeah and maybe George is the older brother who becomes king.

  13. A part of me really wants Harry to be ginger.

  14. Nice to get Cora and Henry Sr. story! :D

  15. Yeah, but in this case it enhances the back story of Cora and Henry Sr. quite nicely.

  16. Oooo...Great idea! Then King George's alliance with Evil Queen has an added dimension of "evil" family (Regina's) vs. "good" family (White-Charming's). Family rivalries can be so fascinating (i.e., Montague vs Capulet, Hatfield vs McCoy, etc.).
