I usually don not read the comment section on EOnline but when i saw Downton Abbey and how she put the spoiler alert right before the spoiler i just had to read the comments her readers left her. It appears she has no regard for her readers,or she is well, never mind, lets just say she is an ass.
I understand that. She could have at least put spoiler alert at the beginning of that Downton Abbey titbit. Their are spoilers and then their are spoilers,to say spoiler alert one word away from saying who died doesn't help. Even here,at times when the spoiler is that big you get a warning before the article starts, just so your warned.
But there is also a warning at the top of the page saying which tv shows are going to be discussed. If people don't want to be spoiled about a certain tv show, isn't it wise to skip past the section for that show?
I'm really not trying to be difficult about this, but logic dictates that if you don't want to be spoiled about Downtown Abbey then don't read the Downtown Abbey spoiler. I understand there are varying degrees of spoilers, but the fact that you made the assumption it would be a lesser spoiler is not in fact that person's fault.
They could have given a much better warning, but you, and those people who have a problem with it in the comments section, could have avoided it entirely by not reading it.
I apologize for being obnoxious, I'm just an extremely logical person.
First your not being obnoxious! Second i really couldn't care because i already knew about it,i just felt bad for the people who found out that way.Yes i understand spoiler chat was in the header, but i feel that it was a major spoiler, that should of have a better warning. An example would be this past episode of NCIS,we were alluded to the fact that someone might die,but they never came out and said who or how..I might not be logical,oh well.
I don't know.... Josh was also the guy who got Chuck and Sarah together, and he was the one who vetoed intermingling of the fab four in the OC... he is capable of going the right way.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteIt's a spoiler article. It's literally called spoiler chat. O.o

ReplyDeleteYou are an idiot.
ReplyDeleteLemon and Wade...?! LEMON AND WADE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteNo no no no no no, and I can't stress the NO!!!! enough..
I absolutely agree. This is really, really the WRONG way to take.
ReplyDeleteIf this happens, I am done with this show. This has Josh Schwartz written all over it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know.... Josh was also the guy who got Chuck and Sarah together, and he was the one who vetoed intermingling of the fab four in the OC... he is capable of going the right way.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell happened to GG then? Cos that was a hot mess lol
ReplyDeleteI will not even attempt to defend the abysmal thing GG was, but I do believe Stephanie Savage and Josh Safran made most of the calls there...
ReplyDeleteI'll hold out my judgement of Schwartz until it's revealed whose crazy idea this was. If everyone starts dating everyone on HoD, I'm out.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not too keen on the idea of the show playing musical romantic partners either....
