Interesting. "Blair Brown as Nina Sharp" is included in the release.
ReplyDelete"Olivia embarks on a dangerous and otherworldly journey into the unknown"? With the title being "Liberty"? That settles it; we are DEFINITELY going back to the Redverse.
ReplyDeleteTrying to recall other press releases... Do they always list all of the 5 season cast members? Being as we saw Nina die heroically I think the mention of her is quite intriguing!
ReplyDeleteSo is this universe's Nina back or do we visit an alternate timeline?
Or should I say "re-visit" an alternate timeline?
Otherworldly and dangerous journey for Olive... could she be going to the redverse, maybe?
ReplyDeleteSo their is the title for 5.12...
Yep,that's what i'm thinking..
ReplyDelete"A climatic conclusion"? What does the weather have to do with it?
ReplyDeletebut when in and which "red" might be the kicker...
ReplyDeleteIt could also be about the machine as the BRIDGES are made at Liberty Island. I think there could be a catch 22 with "when" and "which" red universe she may find herself in...(because unless the amber red characters also went into a state of stasis, or they have life extension tech that keeps them from aging, those characters should be 20+ years older...
ReplyDeleteTrue. We've already seen that the amber timeline is still continuity (since Olivia and Peter were the only people to remember Sam Weiss). Unless the "dangerous and otherworldly journey" happens AFTER the reset, I think it'd be amber Redverse.
ReplyDeleteOh,that's right i didn't think of that, they would be older.... and i doubt the amber red characters went into stasis...oh my,their really are so many possibilities that they can throw at us..The only certainty we have is that we know they have a plan.
ReplyDeleteBecause it says,First, the Fringe team engages a desperate plan as Olivia embarks on a dangerous and otherworldly journey into the unknown. **THEN**, Peter, Olivia
ReplyDeleteand because it's a double press release, I think it means that Olivia does this otherworldly thing earlier (probably in "Liberty") and then the rest is for "Enemy of Fate"...
Don't get me wrong, seeing those character much older could be an interesting prospect, but I think we could have some options here.
ReplyDeleteUnless the BBM is the power source, and they need it to power the reset device (unlikely, given the red rocks from The Recordist), I can't think of a good reason to go back to the Redverse. Walternate, Fauxlivia, Lincoln, etc; would all be very old by then.
ReplyDeleteEtta was also stated on Press Releases post her death. IMO the press releases have mildly lied about "who" is in them, including very rarely including the guest cast...it wasn't even till these past few that the actor who plays Windmark was also credited in the press release...
ReplyDeleteBut I do expect to see her again, because I feel pretty good that Michael showed her a future/up coming time line where she still exists. That is why I think she could fearlessly confront Windmark and take her own life.
Ya!! I said that also to Laura below...that's why I think time and space could be a factor, but then again there could be various reasons to why they did not age (stasis, tech). However, it may be that Olivia seeing an image of herself "older" is important to her story line...
ReplyDeleteThere's another oddity that was either glossed over or dropped: In the original casting call for Letters of Transit, Simon was listed as a Fringe agent from the other side. Now, that obviously didn't happen, but I've long since wondered exactly why that particular detail was overlooked.
ReplyDeleteactually he was listed as an "alternate" Fringe agent no "color" specific, as both the red and blue timelines are alternate versions from the season1-3 time lines...
ReplyDeleteEven still. The narrative silence about the other side has been deafening this season. Perhaps they open the Bridge Room to let a bunch of soldiers over here; maybe they need Cortexiphan; who knows?
ReplyDeleteTo end with any version of the red characters in any way, I think is the greatest surprise. Depending on how it relates could solidify their role in relation to our characters in the series.
ReplyDeleteI was saying something similar to Rick Terry over on another article: They might loop it back to 1985 in Walter's lab in a Christmas Carol sort of way. Show him everything that happens after he crosses over, he decides not to, but then Walternate makes the trip instead (and it starts all over again).
ReplyDeleteI want to see the two last episodes but I don't.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to see the last episodes but I do.
Nuff said :(
That about sums it up perfectly cortexifan!
ReplyDeleteLol!
ReplyDeleteRick wants to talk to you but he quit Spoiler, you can reach him on fb. :(
ReplyDeleteOne last adventure with Olive before the end!!! GAGAHAJHGAHAGHAGAAASSSAA Fuck, I'm shivering!!! Redverse??!??!?!?! could it be???
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't surprises me that Blair is listed; i mean, I'm sure she is making at least a cameo somehow.
ReplyDeleteBut "how" she appears, well, that's only left to the imagination!
djsjsius omg we are going to the freaking redverse, people omg I can't hold it in me... lol too much excitement
ReplyDeleteSeth Gabel us in the final episides & he's aged. Saw pictures of him filming. Also, read that there will be travel to 2609 as referenced by Walter in Letters of Transit. The question is, who wull be traveling? September, Olivia??
ReplyDeleteDo you have a link to these pictures?
ReplyDeleteThanks. I also don't want to write about it but I do, sigh. The world as we know it will end Jan 19th.
ReplyDeleteYep, here you go...

Here you go...
ReplyDeletehttp://vancityfilming.com/fringe-an-old-friend-returns/
really? Why did he quit? Is he just stopping for the rest of FRINGE (to not spoil it, or is this a permanent thing? I'll catch him on FB tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAh, well there we have it! :D Thanks, aydee! Didn't see these yet!
ReplyDeleteNo problem. Always happy to share with my fellow Fringies :). I'm getting so excited & nervous for the last three episodes. I think we're going to have our minds blown big time!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will end with there stuck in a loop nothing was learned way...I think if we would have a season 6 this would be an awesome ending!...But B.R. has yet to end any show or film with out a silver lining. - IMO even what J.J. Abrams has to say about Star trek Into Darkness' ending confirms my suspicion about the kind of endings he prefers and promotes. But I do wonder if the key is that BOTH Peters needed to live or If September is the mistake...(because I am not sure if the blue-amber Walter crossed for the exact same reason...If September was still present in lab when Walter witnesses Walternate's distraction??? Or if the reason changed??)
ReplyDeleteIf we ARE doing a reset, it should be total, 1985 total. This whole thing should tie into itself to be fully cohesive; simply going back to 2015 on the day of the picnic would be a huge cop-out, at least for me.
ReplyDeleteAh yes please give us some redverse time, I need to see my darlings from the other side. Seeing the finale press release makes me so sad, oh Fringe I don't want to lose you and yet I know I am so lucky to have had you this long.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll send themselves back to the beginning of time with the Machine. ;)
ReplyDeleteWell I don't want it to end, but it sounds kick ass! :D
ReplyDeleteSo Olivia going to the red universe, possibly picking up the final component? Or warning them of what they are about to do?
A reset of the timeline would inevitably affect them as well. :)
ell I hope we don't reset in the amber time line at all. I'm still hoping we are going back to the end of season 3.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Hopefully without the machine parts this time! :p
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will! :D
ReplyDeleteYeah,if you go to yeterday's poll about music being listed from the shows we watch, you'll see.He is now listed as guest. He said he will still read but not comment it has to do with the down button, but it sort of got out of hand, and didn't go the way he expected.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds interesting.. and it caused a Fringe-thoughts-storm in my brain. :D
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about the whole reset time thing.. and maybe they're not resetting it completely but remove the observer-future of 2609?
I'm not sure how but the Observers must have connected their future to the past.. otherweise they would fade to exist the moment they invaded.. nor not?
My point is: They would alter their past and by doing that they would never be created.. or were they created by this exact situation? The Observers creating themselves (indirectly?) over and over again? *Time paradoxes are confusing!!*
So maybe it's about resetting/removing the connection so their future does what it needs to (well, fade to exist) and they remain in 2036.
Not likely, but possible.
Observer-free-2015 sounded nice to me a first but how would that be possible? If they reset time and the Observers are just gone, there wouldn't be an ambler-like-2015. There wouldn't be our red-blue-timeline either because that timeline was already altered by the Observers.
Maybe we'll get to see the original timeline (well, the one before the show starts) without ANY intervention.
Walternate heals Peter successfully, Walter doesn't cross over.
This would also mean that there's no machine then. Also Walter doesn't need to return Peter to Redverse.. and maybe the Cortexiphan trials wouldn't be finished ever?
Maybe Olivia crossed over and needs to see Bolivia and Alt!Lincoln because she needs to know if they would sacrifice the existence of their possible children and their love. Who knows, maybe they're happier and more in love than POlivia ever was?
Or maybe they just need support from Redverse, which is exactly what I hoped for. Redverse saving the day.. would be awesome!
Just needed to write it down. My head is full of Fringe theories and ideas for one last time. :)
PS. I hope Baby-Henry will exist, too. I think he deserves it.. and the bolivia birth scene was.. beautiful!
I'm going to cry. A LOT.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
ReplyDeleteI doubt they, the characters, themselves know where they will reset too. But I suppose in their mind anything is better than Observerland.
ReplyDeleteBut I loved the s1-s3 timeline the most, so I hope they return to that timeline in general.
This is head hurtingly annoying. xD
Nina will be here! Yeah! :)
ReplyDeleteBut don't you see? Ending it in 1985 WOULD fit in with what Wyman said. If it ends with Walter deciding never to cross over, then the ORIGINAL (the one that September messed up to begin with) timeline would be allowed to happen. We'd be able to "imagine where the characters are, and what they could be doing". Now, whether that entails Peter+Fauxlivia=Henry or Peter+Olivia=Etta, I can't say at this point.
ReplyDeleteWe already have these posted here, and i believe he flew in for the party for the 100th ep. which took place 3 days later. He doesn't look older to me the way aydee describes him,but you take a look and let me know.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2012/11/fringe-season-5-set-photos-28th29th.html
I'm not saying he didn't film a scene,i'm sure he could have, but i don't see him aging in these.
That doesn't mean she'll be in it,they listed Etta after she had already died. I hope Nina is,i'm hoping for a reset...
ReplyDeleteIt lists you as a guest when you try to delete your comments. Alright i'm going back into hiding. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your here"No One" :) but shit honey, you lost all your likes. :( You have been on my mind all day!
ReplyDeleteSo no one has been on your mind all day? ;P Likes shmikes! Who wants to be liked anymore?
ReplyDeleteWell,i like to give likes especially to people that i know have good insights! They deserve the likes! Just so you know i never ever down vote but if i do that person will know why.So you should have a look around and get to know some people here,oh and there is a new Fringe post here! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome if Olivia goes over to the Red!Verse to ask for them to help reset time to be rebuffed because the alternate world has healed and Walternate and Fauxlivia are quite fond of existing and are tired of having to pay because of the Blue!Verse.
ReplyDeleteOh boy! this is it Liberty/ An Enemy Of Fate
ReplyDeleteI don't get it. Is the whole 2-hour series finale considered the 100th episode? Like, if it was split in 1-hour increments like the show normally is, would it be considered episode 100 & 101?
ReplyDeleteI feel the same, only because I'm afraid where it will end. I don't want everything to be reversed (aka go back to before Walter crossed over to get Peter). I'd accept going back to Season 3, especially if they all somehow keep their memories, but going any farther back would be disappointing for me. And Peter and Olivia must be together!
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I hate resets at any level, but on this show have come to accept there is likely to be one, considering the past.
No, the 2-hour series finale consists of Episode 99 (5x12) and Episode 100 (5x13). They're normal episodes, just aired together. :)
ReplyDelete(At least I think so..)
Thanks @Paxnos:disqus for trying to clear up my confusion! :)
