THey're shooting Liv up with cortexiphan to have her cross over b/c she needs Faux and lincolns help for something. (is Kirk/Charlie there?) The observers presumebly the 2036 ones are running tests on michael and so they need to get him back to enact the plan of sending him to the creators. so that they can reset and get Etta back. But... What is...ok and liv surrenduring outside the Fringe division is her on the otherside..ok got it. Then uhm, it looks like they get him the boy, back and Sept tells him that fate can be changed, probs right before they send him and walter (w/the tech) back to the creators thus resetting the time and Getting Poliva/Etta back together. Happy Ending.
Is history Is reset and there are no obserbers most of all 5 seasons may not exsist.Unlike the Machine at end of season 3 this could erase Peter from timeline.Without observers walternet could have cured peter in alternate world, and walter would have never crossed over to save Peter. Thus Peter would have grown up In alterverse and never met Olivia.
so true if that is the case you do gotta feel bad for our side's peter since he can't seem to catch a break shame they both can't live and be switch over from the worlds so we get to keep the peter we know and walternate has a son to raise
I think we just have to trust JWyman at this point I agree it is scary though. and btw he said that we'd see liv and her ring and she hid it somewhere special but uhm 2 epis left still no ring.
I know. The writers have done an amazing job so far, it's just I get nervous when a series is about to end. Especially one I've gotten so into so late (it's only been a few months since I started to watch episodes, but I'm as invested in it as I am other shows I've seen for many years).
I've seen most of Season 1 and 2 thanks to The Science Channel and itunes. Season 3 is really patchy, but I've seen important clips of Peter/Olivia relationship and seen the episodes where the observers were more involved (haven't seen the Machine episode though!) Season 4 and 5 are also patchy, but all episodes with September were pretty much covered and I saw the finale of Season 4.
I've seen the last 3 episodes of the current season, plus lots of youtube clips. And wikipedia has filled in other missing pieces of information. As Science Channel airs more episodes I'll be able to watch more. And if all goes well with the finale, I'm buying the seasons. I already have season 4 (just don't have time to watch it all right now).
That's what I'm afraid will happen. However, the Cortexiphan trials would most likely still occur which would lead to Olivia crossing over to the RedVerse and meeting Peter. But still, I don't want everything changed! I can't stand the thought of the events of S1-3 not happening.
The final season of the best serie of the last 10 years is not a good news (at least in Italy, my home). I know that i'm just 1 voice, but FRINGE is a great serie; up to season 3 is been really unbelievable, then is gone little down… but still is one of the best for me. I suppose that everything is possible starting from the writers (writing great episodes like in the first 3 seasons) to the production that, as we have seen so many times, is made by great professionist who gave the best... FRINGE should go on also because USA (and, I fear, part of the planet with it) are going crazy with stupid series of queers or bitch-wives… (crap, thatìs unbelievable for the best, no?). If USA now love that stuff, I'm afraid that is gone crazy. FRINGE is still something who give oxygen to the old TV serie lovers, something who remember me that in USA was born X-Files, Millennium, all the Star Trek and tenths of other superb TV series. SO, please, don't leave FRINGE go… please, don't do it.. Romano from northern Italy
"I love you for ever." Damn, it's like Peter knows there's a change she's not coming back.
I dont understand why they would go in the alternate universe though. Olivia said they needed help but for what? To build the machine? Because their world is more advanced?
Ooooh, they LIED about not using the red universe again!!! Okay, this is the last time I ever believe anything some sneaky producer or writer says about upcoming episodes of their show.
That's not to say I'm not thrilled beyond words. A Fringe finale wouldn't be complete without our friends from "over there". And never seeing Seth Gabel on this show again would have been inexcusable. However these last two episodes go down, they're pretty much guaranteed at this point to be awesome.
Now I wonder what the title sequence for the episode will look like. Fringe has always been so creative with their intros. I hope they do something special for the finale.
Wouldn't be necessary as September accidently catching the attention of alt Walter was the reason Walter had to cross over to save Peter.
The downfalls are only that Peter and Olivia wouldn't live in the same universe and September/Donald and Michael would cease to exist. Which is why I don't like the idea. :(
But Olivia didn't get close to Peter until she got to know him on the Fringe team, and then Jones would still be alive, and there would be trouble with him and Bell. So if they go back to that era, how can they know they can stop them again?
I'm hoping because everyone thinks they will reset time to before Peter was brought over by Walter that the Fringe writers will do something totally different. I'm so desperate right now I'll take anything besides a total reset at this point.
I know, right? I never though, especially back when the alternative universe was first introduced, that I'd be so happy to see those alternates again. But man! Altlivia, Lincoln...it's like seeing the cool relatives at a reunion again!
Also, I'm amazed how some of you came up with comments to say. My first reaction after seeing that promo was "AHHH!!!" I could only muster a response to someone else's comment.

remember its the future thats changing. not all of the past. donald/sept said that they were many different versions/levels of emotionally stunted observers before they 'perfected' it (this perfection is what they want to change.) they are stopping the observers from becoming emotional stunted and evil, they will likely still exist, just not in a way that will take over our timeline. they will be mixed with emotion, like the boy. some S1-3 may change but, i think most will be the same, because time travel will still be invented and be used, observers in watever fashion they may end up as will want to explore the past as scientists (which is wat september was doing when he saved peter/walter, he was visiting a significant event. they we not plotting to take over then..)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
so sad to see next week is it but this looks really amazing
ReplyDeleteso ok...

ReplyDeleteOh my god ALT LIV!!!!!!!! I am so frigging happy right now that I kind of didn't pay any attention to the rest of the promo ha
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell?
ReplyDelete"I love you for ever." Damn, it's like Peter knows there's a change she's not coming back.
ReplyDeleteI dont understand why they would go in the alternate universe though. Olivia said they needed help but for what? To build the machine? Because their world is more advanced?
I really hoped we'd get to see the RedVerse again. I'm really glad. I hope they can help with whatever Olivia needs.
ReplyDeleteAlso, OMG: I am freaking out at this promo. So much going on.
Poor Michael, someone take him away from the Observers, they are going to hurt him!!!!!!
Ooooh, they LIED about not using the red universe again!!! Okay, this is the last time I ever believe anything some sneaky producer or writer says about upcoming episodes of their show.

Every time I hear Peter say, "I love you. Forever." My heart breaks and I wanna cry.
ReplyDeleteI'm not the only one, right?
Alt Liv is back, Lincoln is back, this is gonna be great.
ReplyDeleteNow I wonder what the title sequence for the episode will look like. Fringe has always been so creative with their intros. I hope they do something special for the finale.
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOD ALTIVIA!!!!! YESSSS, I have been waiting for her to come back all season!
ReplyDeleteIf they reset time and the Observers never exist, then September can't save Walter and Peter when they fall through the ice...

ReplyDeleteWhy didn't Altlivia and Lincoln age? They weren't in amber!

ReplyDeleteI know. They look pretty good seeing as they're almost 60. Better anti-aging technology on their side, maybe?
ReplyDeleteexcellent point actually
