Update: 18:15 Looks like NBC's own official Facebook account don't know who is playing. It seems he is not in fact playing Jeff's dad (which will be played by Brolin) and that he will be playing a professor

Thanks to Arun for the heads up.

  2. Yes, but we didn't know who he would be playing then. All we knew was that he would be playing a Professor.

  4. NBC britta'd again : James Brolin is playing Jeff's dad. Malcolm McDowell, on the other hand, plays history teacher Professor Cornwalls in 2 episodes (http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/08/community-season-4-malcolm-mcdowell-to.html ).

I can't see the video, NBC won't let me, but it seems pretty logical that McDowell can't be Jeff's dad - his outfit here looks like what an history teacher would wear and he's British (Jeff Winger is not, as far as we know). Weird that they couldn't pick that up from the video, I'm sure McDowell mentions what he's doing on the show.

  9. It's NBC though - they wouldn't even bother double checking facts for Community
