    There has not been too many of them this season compared to previous ones. So having a fun episode without any major drama might be good.

    If you're expecting a prodecural crime drama not to have filler episodes then you have unrealistic expectations. Besides, Castle excels at making filler episodes some of their most enjoyable to watch. I often find that the filler episodes that Castle does have very high replay value.

    I wish Bones would do the same, but I guess there can only be so many 'original' cases. Besides Castle usually does them with a fun twist!

    Yes they are fun,but sometimes its frustrating for i feel Marlowe lacks imagination,and i know that isn't so,so what is he being lazy?

    I doubt every single episode is written by Marlowe. I think the writers on the show are free to choose whatever the case of the week is? Though I'm not sure if that is the case or if Marlowe reviews every episode detail himself.
