Joff's wedding in season 3? Are you sure? It's in second part of Storm of Swords, as i remember, so i think it will be in season 4? ;) I know, Red Wedding also are in second part of SoS, but in the beginning...
It's basically confirmed that the we'll witness the purple wedding in season 4, anyway I can't wait to see the red wedding, actually what I can't wait to see is the reaction of the non-reader viewers to an event of such magnitude.
Fuck I watched the first 2 seasons but when I look at some articles about GoT I'm thinking who is this guy or what is that so I think I'll be watching it again during the holidays then cry untill season 3.
RW just to see people's reaction who haven't read the books, oh god! But mostly Brienne and Jaime they are the only couple I root for in the books and I love Jaime's redemption arc.
I'm interested to see how non-readers react to the RW, but Honestly it meant little to me when I read it since I expected something to occur that would have a similar outcome due to events in Season 2/ Book 2. In the books it is emotional due to the POV it is seen from, how that will translate into film will be interesting to see....
Second most exciting to me is the North this season. So many new fun characters headlined by the often misunderstood Mance played by Ciarin Hinds!
Third most eciting... one word. "Dracarys!"
This is the make or brake season for Jon Snow on the series for me. In the books I was drawn in from Book 1 into Book 2, but the show has really downplayed Snow IMO. If he does not get a solid story this season I do not know when he will!
No interest in the Reeds arriving and frankly I wish HBO left them out.
That's my major intrigue this year too... It is such an atypical event for a TV series and I simply cannot predict how non-readers will feel about it. Well, other than they will feel something! XD
Since I haven't read the books, and have no idea what "Red wedding" is (which seems to be the most popular in the poll), I went with Brienne and Jaime Lannister. They were pretty hilarious to watch last season, and I'm excited to see how they evolve on the rest of their journey together.
I disagree. although Jaime goes through his massive personality shift in book 3, i think it will remain a secondary storyline this season. It just isn't eventful enough (compared to other storylines). I think that the storylines which will be focused on the most in the tv show this season are: 1) Robb. they are probably going to invent a bit of material and extend the existing stuff to make the RW that much more emotional for the viewers 2) Daenerys, as the first half of ASoS is essentially the only time in the books that she is interesting, let alone a badass (aside from her last chapter in AGoT, the house of the undying (book version only), and her last two chapters in ADwD) 3) Arya and her journey through the riverlands (which is arguably the focus of the first half of ASoS (the second half focusing mostly on Jon)) 4) The Night's Watch (Jon+Sam. Alone, this isn't Jon's biggest season, but it is still pretty big, and Sam's stuff in the first half of ASoS was brilliance)
Oh you're probably spot on as to how it will play out on the screen and who will have more screen time etc..... but Jaime's evolution is my favorite part of A Storm of Swords and that is what I'm looking forward to regardless of whether or not he is the central arc of the season..
This is great :) My poll! LOL I know that Red Wedding may be at season four, but I'm excited to see it! My choice is Brienne and Jaime Lannister! In the books, this duo is amazing!
I'm looking forward to all three weddings happening - Red, Joffrey's and the other one. Plus Meera and Jojen. Plus the Queen of Thorns. Plus (possibly in season 3, but might be season 4) Arya meeting and travelling with a certain person.
The writers have said that there will be two weddings in season 3. If they go by the order they happen in the book then it will be the redding wedding and the short sad one that happens before that. That means that joffery's wedding will be in the first few epsiodes of season 4
for me it's either the red wedding, I really wonder how they will do it with the music and everything! it will be great! secondly, the relationship between Jaime and Brienne. In this book Jaime went from being the character I hated most to being on of the characters I love most. And I simply love how his relationship with brienne built up
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteRed wedding, of course! And Joffrey's wedding. I WILL replay Joffrey's wedding 1000 times with glee! :)

ReplyDeleteRED WEDDING! I'm guessing Joffery's wedding won't show up until Season 4 though.
ReplyDeleteRED WEDDING!!!!
ReplyDeleteHaven't read the book, cannot vote.

ReplyDeleteNice poll! :-)
ReplyDeleteRed Wedding ofcourse, but also Brienne and Jaime. Jaime is one of my favorite characters, and it´s gonna be a nice journey.
Honestly I look forward to it all. Not so much Daenerys story, but all the others.

ReplyDeleteSPOILERS! XD
ReplyDeleteI kid, I kid...
For me it is Season 3 is all about Jaime's arc.

"Jon Snow and Ygrette." Ygrette is so hot
ReplyDeleteBook 3 is when Jaime became my favorite character, so I am interested to see how it is put on screen.
ReplyDeleteTyrion's arc in book 3 is also very well done...though the best parts of it will probably be in season 4.
I can't freakin' wait to see takeover of the Unsullied!!
I don't want to think about the Red Wedding at all. I'll just be bawling that entire episode.

ReplyDeleteDRAGONS!!
ReplyDeleteDon't look the Red Wedding up, seriously, you will regret it.

Brienne and Jaime. Best storyline ever!
ReplyDeleteRed Wedding. It's gonna be insaaaane! :D I do love Brienne and Jamie together though (in the books, at least).
