  1. Yep, easy one for me today. X-Files all the way

    ReplyDelete
  2. Buffy. But also liked Twin peaks, Friends, Full House, Sabrina and The Nanny.

  3. The X-Files, no competition here. It inspired a lot of television series, and this is one of the only television series actually still having an enormous fan base. Who doesn't know the opening titles ? Who doesn't know the most successful relationship on television ? Who doesn't know Mulder or Scully ? Nobody.

  4. Everybody Loves Raymond, because it is very funny to watch and I loved it so much!!

    ReplyDelete
  5. ER hands down! Friends, Xena, Lois and Clark and Sabrina are next! :)

    ReplyDelete
  6. Only seen one of these and that's friends! Best show ever

    ReplyDelete
  7. Twin Peaks!!! Still one of my favorite shows. It was so new and brilliant, with a great cast and the mystery was just awesome. I didn´t have a VCR, so I use to tape it with my taperecorder and just listen to it afterwards. The themesong was great.....everything.....miss it. :-)

  8. If I can only pick one, for me it has to be ER!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Out of those I'd probably choose Married.. With Children

    ReplyDelete
  10. ..X-files,.stargate,.xena,.hercules and full house

    ReplyDelete
  11. Haven't seen a lot of them, for obvious reasons, but The X-Files is my favorite of the bunch.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wish I could have voted for more, but I chose ER, because it's the one I never missed. I only recently watched the wonderful Buffy, X-Files I got into late, like the 3rd season, Friends I watched casually, but ER was appointment TV for me.

  13. How can you do this poll without The Simpsons in it?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I went for L&O. It's the single show (also franchise) to help NBC (when they had trouble with the Conan/ Leno fiasco or other scheduling issues), it made TNT into the network it is today with original programming, and SVU/CI helped with the same thing.

  15. had to vote for Stargate SG1 since that show made me start learning english at 11 !! :D

    ReplyDelete
  16. That was actually quite hard, but I had to go with Boy Meets World because I never missed an episode. Although, I did watch 3rd Rock from the Sun, Hercules, The Drew Carey Show, Sabrina, 7th Heaven, Xena, The Nanny, Buffy, and The X-Files. Of course, some of these I didn't watch until I was older.

Buffy, hands down. Nothing else on that list is as worthy of my vote as BTVS. That show was hands down ahead of its time masterpiece :3

  18. Felicity, Frasier, Twin Peaks, and the X-files for me!

    ReplyDelete
  19. A few good shows here, but nothing beats X-Files. What a rush that was back then. The 90's so long ago. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  20. X-Files, Stargate SG1, and ER were the shows that i never missed.....ever. Chicago Hope was pretty good and of course Twin Peaks!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Making me choose between Twin Peaks, Frasier and Friends is just cruel. I had to go for Twin Peaks. Original and groundbreaking. If I could choose one more, I'd go for Frasier as a close second. The greatest sitcom of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  22. ER was another show that propelled NBC to be #1,it wasn't just L&O.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Lord i miss watching Northern Exposure, what a great quirky show, the best! Besides ER another show i couldn't miss!

    ReplyDelete
  24. True. But L&O was on for twenty years. The amount of episodes to use as repeats from SVU, L&O, and CI made it lucrative for the network if they needed a repeat to air. And I don't believe L&O helped NBC become number one. It helped sustained them when they needed it. :P

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yep,i'm well aware of their accomplishments,and what they did.I don't believe i said L&O helped.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I was agreeing with your statement. :P

    ReplyDelete
  27. Mulder and Scully! I could not wait to get home to watch this dynamic duo fight crime and the unknown at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Buffy still has a huge fan base and lives on comic books. So what?

    ReplyDelete
  29. oh! so hard to pick just one.

Had to go with X-Files but Twin Peaks was a very close 2nd.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Who cares ? I don't. Even if you love Buffy, you have to be realistic, it has never, never been as huge as X-Files. I wasn't one of the "first" fans of X-Files because I'm only 17 years old (and French, but it doesn't matter), but I know it was a huge, huge success. Fans discussed online after or even during the broadcast of each episodes, yet, the Internet wasn't as developed as it is now.. I don't know if you imagine. Even Lost (2004) didn't have THAT impact on the Internet years later.

  31. "No Soup For You!"

    ReplyDelete
  32. I forgot I watched that too!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Forgot about this also!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Friends and ER, also I remember loving Lois&Clark, but I can barely remember the show itself;)

    How about no?

X-Files was amongst the last good quality oldschool genre shows.

However BTVS is the VERY REASON we still have genre shows. It reinvigorated the genre and inspired it and you WILL NOT find a genre show that does NOT take inspiration from BTVS.

  36. Buffy is my fav of all time anyway so voted 4 that also 7th Heaven, SG1, ER, Dawsons Creek, Charmed, X Files, Party of Five, Roseanne, Law & Order, Lois and Clark, Boy Meets World, Xena, Hercules ...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Boy Meets World! Loved that show. Then Friends, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Married with Children, Home Improvement, Drew Carey Show, and Sabrina. Didn't watch any of the others.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't know the opening titles.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I voted for Xena simply because I used to love Ares ;) If I could choose more, it would be Lois & Clark, Hercules, Sabrina, Stargates and Married ... with children

    ReplyDelete
  40. Buffy without a doubt, it was the first show that I was truly completely and utterly addicted to and involved in. Though I watched a lot of the series listed here Buffy is number one in my heart.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I like your picks! :-) I would put Friends second and Fraiser third, but all three shows were really brilliant.

    ReplyDelete
  42. So not fair to limit me to just one :(
    FRIENDS
    Beverly Hills 90210
    Family Matters
    Martin
    Fresh Prince of Bel Air
    Dawsons Creek
    Step By Step
    The Nanny

  43. My so Called Life

    ReplyDelete
  44. Xena

    X-Files
    ER
    Sabrina

    Who's the Boss
    3rd Rock from the Sun
    Friends
    Nanny

  45. I have completely different favorites in this poll, but I still had to reply to you, because I also loved Ares. He was awesome and was the best part of the show IMO!:-) I was so sad when I found out that Kevin Smith had died.:-(

    ReplyDelete
  46. The X Files and Charmed.

    ReplyDelete
  47. i been watching tv shows for 50 yrs now and the BEST show i've seen....and i know every epi by heart word by word was:.....

SEINFELD......which was voted the #2 show of All Time next to I Love Lucy....☺.....

    ReplyDelete
  48. One vote is not enough - I need at least 10!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I voted Beverly Hills 90210, but 3rd Rock from the Sun is a close second.

    ReplyDelete
  50. tough choice between Seinfeld. Friends, BTVS, and ER... if I had to pick one, it'd be Buffy

    ReplyDelete
  51. I picked BtVS but honestly for me it's a toss-up between this, The X Files, Stargate SG-1, Lois & Clark, and The Pretender (which is not on the list). They all hold a special place in my heart.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Yeah, I couldn;t believe it :(

    ReplyDelete
  53. Friends!!!
7th Heaven would have been my second choice.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I totally agree with you ;) let's ignore the haters :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. The X-Files, but there's also Friends, Seinfeld, ER, Law & Order. Boy Meets World....oh dear Lord can we forget about the stupid poll and just go back to the 90s?

    ReplyDelete
  56. The X Files!!=-) My favorite tv show of all time!!=-) Love Mulder and Scully!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Friends! Easy one for me too...

    ReplyDelete
  58. Wow this is a hard one! I wasn't old enough to watch most of these in the 90s lol. Buffy is one of my favourite shows and I watched it all two years ago. Boy Meets World is awesome but I never had the channel that aired it so I've only seen episodes out of order. I've seen all of Sabrina the teenage witch and I've seen almost all of 7th Heaven so my vote has to go to 7th Heaven. I would say Sabrina was my favourite 'supernatural' show of the 90s and 7th Heaven is my favourite drama.

    ReplyDelete
  59. X-Files. Over and over and over again.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I agree. I still consider the X-Files my favorite show and Lost my 2nd favorite. Nothing has and will ever pass the X-Files for a long-time. I mean no disrespect to Buffy and I understand the logic and RESPECT the passion Buffy fans have. But it's X-Files over and over again.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I get the whole female lead argument - but I have always and will continue to make the argument for Scully. I know she wasn't the MAIN character because she shared the spotlight - but Mulder was shaped by Scully. Scully and Mulder shared the spotlight and Scully made her mark on TV before Buffy - allowing a character like Buffy to exist. Just my opinion. I'd take Scully over Buffy any day esp considering I loved Buffy - but Scully was always my favorite female character.

    ReplyDelete
  62. To clarify, Seinfeld 2nd - just hate the ending, but it's grown on me a little.

    ReplyDelete
  63. The X-Files, hands down. It is still referneced today in other media and tv shows, and despite initially being cult, managed to leave a lasting impression. But in general, the 90's had some awesome shows. Back when people had to watch at the times shows were actually aired, and therefore could discuss them the next day at work/school. Not like these days, where there are so many shows airing at once that a lot of quality shows slip under the radar, and get cancelled too early. I miss the days of knowing shows would often get 4 or more seasons... :(
