You do NOT need to nominate Renegade, Wanted Dead or Alive, O Death, Back in Black, Don't Fear the Reaper, A Well-Respected Man, Rock of Ages, Knockin' on Heaven's Door, Bad Moon Rising, Beautiful Loser, Eye of the Tiger, Heat of the Moment, Smoke on the Water, Simple Man, What a Wonderful World, or Silent Lucidity because they are already in the contest. Remember this is not your favorite scenes which happened to be playing a particular song but a song that particularly captures the essence of that scene through the lyrics and tone. If any song could be playing, it doesn't fit the criteria for this contest.

All out of Love, Love Air Supply and can see Dean trying to sing to it without Sam seeing. lol
Bad Company, I hear this song and think of Dean having to fight since he was 4 years old and I love Bad Company. O Death will get their vote for scene.

I have to go with Renegade. I love the song. I chose Heat of the Moment but I loved both songs. Again I love both songs, but All Out of Love wins it for me. Another difficult one...I chose O Death.
ReplyDeleteI think these are going to be a lot closer than the last set, but for me there is only one that I have to hesitate on at all. The rest are no-brainers for me.

2. Don't Fear the Reaper by a lot. DFtR is in my top 5 Supernatural songs and the first song I bought immediately after seeing it on SPN. I had liked the song before and am grateful that Supernatural brought my love of classic rock back to the forefront.
3. Back in Black most definitely. I might have a nostalgic soft spot for Air Supply, but this is quintessential AC/DC. No contest.
4. Bad Company. I think of O Death as a song snippet instead of a real song and while that snippet is powerful, it's mostly so because of the scene it played in. That makes it a powerful entry into song-to-scene, but for me it has no place in the favorite song contest. In contrast Bad Company is classic. My feet start tapping every time I hear it and I get engrossed in the music.
I can't decide if You Shook Me is my favorite AC/DC song or not. There's a group of about 4 songs that keep changing places, but it was definitely my favorite AC/DC song in high school.
