Of those in the list I would say Saul saying a prayer for the bombing victims, but that was NOT my favorite scene in the episode. ... And definitely NOT for Carrie strolling in like she did..
My favorite was the juxtaposition of the two funeral scenes against one another. One with the upper echelon of DC society and government officials and one with more people forced to be there than by choice in solitude on the deck of an air craft carrier. One for the hero Vice President who secretly went to any means necessary to protect his country and one for the terrorist who publicly went to any means necessary for his religion.
Two very different funerals for two seemingly very different people from very different worlds who both were very similar in the fact that they were willing to sacrifice innocent people to achieve their goals.
I think it was THE most powerful scene of the entire series. Bar None.
The bomb going off and also the ending with Saul, it was kind of chilling seeing all of the dead bodies but Mandy really nailed the prayer and also that smile was perfect.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So many to choose from, but I went for Brody's confession video appearing on the news. That's when everything fell into place for me.
ReplyDeleteThe bomb going off was really shocking.
ReplyDeleteAlso the end scenes with Saul was terrific. I also also enjoyed Quinn getting one up on Estes
Me too! And I loved Quinn for that! I'm seeing him with whole new eyes now.
ReplyDeleteWithout hesitation, the last scene between Carrie and Brody, it was just heartbreaking

ReplyDeleteI love Saul and Carrie's relationship! When he laid eyes on her- it was heartbreaking !
