I don't know that it was a worthy enough send off, but I did think it was sweet that Jim came back to finish the party. And I'm psyched that things are working out for him! The Erin/other Jim sub plot seemed really out of place within the rest of the episode, though. So weird. I can't summon the energy to care about it either.
While this season has been very hit or miss, this episode was definitely the best. Not as good as Christmas's past, but if there is one thing The Office does well its a Christmas episode. Good on Jim for talking to his friends for Daryl, nice to see Dwight actually miss Jim, and good on Toby for getting some.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely different from Xmas parties past (and not quite as good as those past eps) but I ended up liking it.
