  1. I want to cry at the end but the revelation of Gossip Girl is a bit null even though I love the character

  2. Ahhhhhmazing!! LOVED it!! Perfect little ending. Wish it could go on!! I thought Rufus and Lily would end up but it was cute he ended up with Lisa. And I guess William really loved Lily. And on to the Bass Boy, adorable!! I have been a fan of this show since 1/2 way through season 1 and I am sad to see it go. I thought it was an awesome episode! C & B 4-eva!!!

  4. Never thought It would be dan.I was hoping they would redeem themselves out from stupid decision for bringing back Bart who noone wanted bck by getting Lilly and Rufus.
Intresting they hd cameos by past wmen on show..
Kinda surprising they were able to get taylor Momsen to come back for what was a 30 second second walk on.I was thinkingJenny would be gossip girl as reason to get her on show.Well at
least Georgnia was around to keep things Intresting.Never been fan of Chuck and Blair.

  5. Someone married their stalker, who self inserted himself into her world & wrote about himself in a meta way, in a tiny apartment, 2 people got away with murder & somehow had a 7 year old who they are passing off as 5, and the dumbest person in NY is set to be mayor. I CAN'T EVEN

THIS IS WORSE THAN LIZ & DICK

  6. Kristen Bell was the best thing of the whole episode.

  7. What did you expect, she's the main character.

  8. Dan being Gossip Girl....didn't really surprise me, though it fits, so I'll give it to the writers, anyone else wouldn't be a plausible choice, it wouldn't fit with the history of the show, I guess...The thing that surprised me was that he actually 'came out'; revealead himself lol...But he wanted to get Serena I guess.

Another thing that did NOT surprise me -- William & Lily. It didnt surprise me, but I just find it odd...I never was a HUGE Rufly fan, but that was just....so odd to me and such a middle finger to their fans on the writers' part...I always expected them to end up together, but of course they had to let the whole 6 years of storytelling go to waste, ugh these writers...And Rufus ended up with...Lisa Loeb?! SERIOUSLY?

ALSO IS NATE SINGLE OR WHAT? I thought they'd show him with someone, preferably Jenny (or did I miss something, but they didn't share any embrace just like LW or JG did)...

The scene where Blair and Chuck come back from the station has to be one of the best in the episode...I seriously laughed my ass off. First Dorota and her "a glass of vodka on the rocks; big glass; not too many rocks; three olives", oh how much I love her...And then all the bickering, like everyone sharing their guesses and G. asking "Did anyone think it was me?" and Blair shunning Serena "What are you so amused for?" HILARIOUS.

I enjoyed the DS flashback though it was kinda cheesy and again UNCONSISTENT; from all I remember from the S1 Christmas ep. (and I've been rewatching this scene a lot lately for personal reasons) -- Dan said that they exchanged 2 sentences, I guess?

After all IT WAS REALLY ENJOYABLE....and while I was seriously afraid and really nostalgic and sad during the first retrospective hour...the ending outcome made me remotely happy; so that I can go to sleep being somewhat satisfied and not really be sad like I expected...All good things come to the end and so does GG.

    xoxo

  9. I figured it might be Dan. Gossip Girl has a way with words that always hinted at a writing talent, and Dan is a talented writer himself.

  12. sorry but dan's self insertion into their world makes him brilliant and if you saw the rest of the series you know bart had it comming, if you didn't don't bother people for nothing please

  13. I wasn't liking dan lately but now i think he's brilliant. serena i'm not sure, i haven't liked her for a while now but it was a good ending anyways. kristen and rachel GENIOUS

  14. I've got to say, I wasn't that shocked at Dan being Gossip Girl... I was expecting someone outrageous, like Dorota. Still, you can't deny it makes sense. I'm not sure how I felt about the little "epilogue". I guess it's cool to see how everyone turned out, and to see a glimpse into the future, but maybe it would have been better left to everyone's imaginations. Though Chuck's little boy in a bow tie made me "awwwww" something fierce.

On a completely different note, I loved the music tonight. It was all perfect.

  15. well Serena, Dan and Blair were the only three who were in every episode. Chuck and Nate missed alot in the early seasons.

  16. I guess the best thing I can say about the episode is that they surprised me with actually making Gossip Girl's reveal be something character-driven and thoughtful. It felt like a good addendum to the far superior story they were telling in the first two seasons. I never liked Dan, I thought he was unnecessary. I didn't feel the need to view the UES through the prism of a self-righteous nob. Never really bought into the Dan/Serena thing either, it was by the numbers and it really felt like a burden was lifted when they went their separate ways in the Season 1 finale.

This episode actually retroactively improves that story for me. I mean, I'm sure if I go back there are a dozen ways Dan makes no sense, but it adds layers to a character I thought was pretty on-dimensional. Call it a retcon done right.

  17. Loved it!! So glad that Chuck and Blair got married! Loved seeing all the familiar faces again. Still can't believe it's over!!

  18. It was an ok episode. I mean to be honest Dan being GG really did not make sense to me. I get he is a writer and he liked Serena and it was his way of getting her I guess but honestly I was hoping that it was someone else. I would have been really happy if it had been Doroda, that would have been awesome. The whole Chuck and Blair's wedding, really? It was so rushed, they deserve a better wedding than that. The end with everyone talking about Dan being GG and no one seemed mad, are you kidding me I would have been pissed instead they acted like "Hey Dan somehow helped up by making our lives miserable." It was a little ridiculous reaction. The years later view point was ok. I think that Lily and Rufus should have ended up together. And that kid that they got to play Chuck and Blair's son, he was older than he should have been, not believable. Overall to me it was and episode that was thrown together with really no thought. Kind of glad its over.

  19. Jajaja Georgina ended up with Jack! That was awesome! There were actual sparks between them in those 5 sec scene!
I always thought GG was Dan... I knew that the only thing that turned me down was Jenny, but because she knew all along it kinda make sence.
I just hoped to see Nate end up with Jenny... Those episodes of Season 2 were ones of my favourites... But, you can't always get what you want...
Overall, was a grwat way to end a series... You really get closure.

  20. OMG RACHEL BILSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Ok, so there was ONE thing that they had no way of screwing up: Lily and Rufus. And guess what they did? They managed to f••k it up. Seriously? It was one of the original couples, along with Chuck/Blair and Dan/Serena. And what's even worse, Lily ended up with William, the most ridiculous of all her husbands! C'mon...

At least I'm thankful they didn't made some crazy stuff up regarding GG and went for the safe option, at least it makes sense that it was Dan.

  22. At first when Kristen Bell appeared, I thought she was really Gossip Girl, and then I was bummed. Someone unimportant in the Manhattan world, but when it was revealed that she was just reading the script, I was happy. Some sort of an inside joke. I loved the wink she does to us. Only Kristen Bell could narrate the series so tantalizing. Dan being the Gossip Girl was not shocking, but made sense nonetheless. But I was MORE shocked when Georgina herself was revealed as Gossip Girl albeit the fake one. That little Henry. SO adorable. Shame we didn't see some scenes with Blair acting as a mother. I loved Jack Bass too, he was undeniably sexy in his last few scenes. Serena with Dan? Hm. Blair and Chuck? HOLY YES! Rufus and Lisa Loeb? Who? William and Lily? Ehh. Nate alone? Perfect. After all, what do you want for a golden boy who had everybody?

  23. I couldn't agree more with you. I'm really pissed they screwed up Lily & Rufus. William makes no sense at all, she never really loved him in the first place.
Also weird: that they kissed on the mouth though being with someone else...

  24. I just rewatched this morning and it is even better! Dan as GG was really perfect! And the music was awesome!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Maybe, just maybe... Lily is with rufus, and William is with Lisa. What would explain that they didn't kiss their "supposed pairs" but each other

    ReplyDelete
  26. wow the ending was awesome especially the reall gossip girl kristen bell in it the last ten episodes were the greatest ones

    ReplyDelete
  27. No, that was clearly intended to make the viewers understand they were in good terms, but it was obvious they were not together.

What I think is senseless is the fact that, despite their storyline (just as everyone else's) becoming boring over the last few seasons, they were the only ones who actually managed to stay together, one way or another. Even Blair had to get married to someone else before she could be with Chuck, but Lily and Rufus were passed that. They had children with other people, they got divorced, but their story was settled, they should simply be together.

As I said, it's just a major writing problem, something that doesn't make sense in the slightest, but there's nothing we can do about it. It's over. xoxo, GG! I'm free of this show! (and now let's go back to the other 15 shows I watch... *sigh*)

  28. I'm gonna miss that scheming!

  29. I don't know what to think about the last episode. In a way it makes sense and it's not illogical but for me it just doesn't fit with the whole series. e.x. Lily and William are perhaps better suited for each other but Lily & Rufus loved each other for most of the GG. Dan as GG... ,maybe it's the best choice because choosing anyone else would be worse and senseless and they explained itfairly well but it still isn't a good choice ... in a way it is brilliant but it opose everything that he was in first seasons. But although I think that after all of this Serena should not marry him I've always loved them as a pair so I won't complain;)

Overall, I have mixes feeliengs about the finale but it was better than I was afraid of :)
