MOVIES : A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III - Trailer and posters (feat. Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray & Aubrey Plaza)

The reason why I was interested in this film in the first place and thus decided to open this thread ? Roman Coppola has written and directed it, and he is none other than the writing partner / second-unit director of Wes Anderson, who's one of my favorite directors, one of very visually interesting films.

And indeed, Coppola has co-written Anderson's Darjeeling Limited and Moonrise Kingdom (FYI : best film of 2012), and he was also the second-unit director on both of them as well as Anderson's Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Other than that, his credits include second-unit directorial work on his sister's films (Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette, he produced Somewhere) and one film that he wrote & directed himself : CQ, starring Jeremy Davies, which was presented at Cannes 2002, got a limited release in the US 12 days later, and opened elsewhere in cinemas only in France and Portugal, but it certainly seems intriguing and interesting to watch.

And now, a glimpse of A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III :

A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III opens in American theaters February 8. Wes Anderson's regulars Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray are here (not Owen Wilson though) starring alongside Charlie Sheen, and Coppola seems to share with his friend his will to film bright/primal colors, lively pictures and odd characters in unusual dramedy stories.

The posters above can be found in HD here, here, here, here and here.

  1. Soon as I read this post title I thought it surely had to be from Wes Anderson! XD

I will be checking this out sometime since I have really enjoyed most of Anderson's previous work.
