HAVEN FANS: Tonight's new episode is being rescheduled. In it's place an episode of #Eureka will be running. I'll have more details soon.
— Craig Engler (@Syfy) Décembre 14, 2012Episode 3.12 of Haven, entitled Reunion, is the penultimate episode of the third season and features a string of murders taking place at Haven High School.

Aw, I'm sad, but it's completely understandable. It makes sense.
ReplyDeleteIs Vince going to be in this episode
ReplyDeleteThis episode has a school violence theme in it,that is why it was pulled.
ReplyDeleteYup, I saw that. Definitely understandable why they're pulling this episode. It was a good choice.
ReplyDeleteI am disappointed, but I agree that it seems right. Hopefully they air it sometime this week so that the finale doesn't get pushed. Or that they air both eps next week.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of Buffy's season finale and Columbine. It's the right thing to do, but I'll miss it.
ReplyDeletesad about it but its a right thing to do . i hope they wont end up not airing or editing the ep because its not just an ep its leading up to finale. And according to their schedule they can have the 12 and 13 to air back to back but i believe the question will be again the episode itself since it contain's violence and even a week seems so soon.
ReplyDelete..Perfect that tragedy took our heart very deep
ReplyDelete..yess.i saw the promo was to close related..completely agree
ReplyDeleteaww that was really considerate of them
ReplyDeleteIt still aired in Canada apparently, so if you want to watch the episode you can.
ReplyDeletei'm not sure of that cause anytime i downloaded haven 3X12 it was eureka instead... :(
ReplyDeleteI understand that it would have been insensitive to air it tonight but please do not change the episode! For those that feel watching it might be hurtful just air a warning and let us be the ones who decide if we want to watch it. What happened was truly horrible but Haven has NOTHING to do with it.
ReplyDeleteWell they should let viewers decide if they want to watch it. TV is full of really violent shows , not like Haven, and I am sure none of them will be pulled out because of what happened.
ReplyDeleteNo I think they're airing it along with the finale next week
ReplyDeleteI was SO looking forward to it because it has my favorite actress gueststarring, but like you said it's totally understandable and makes perfect sense
ReplyDeleteI totally think that Syfy did the right thing by not airing the episode last night, but I've heard rumors that they're going to push airing "Reunion" till late January next year and still show the finale next week (those are rumors like I said-I'm still waiting to hear an official announcement from Syfy).
ReplyDeletePersonally I think that's taking things way too far. Mainly because Haven is a show which requires knowledge of the previous episodes (they're not stand-alone episodes like on procedurals). And the mythology and relationships have really been building to a critical point. I worry that if they air the finally without airing "Reunion" there will be too many holes in between that weren't filled.
Like I said I think Syfy did the stand up thing today and I applaud them for it, but I think that airing it next week with warnings ahead of time and after each return from commercial break would be the best option given the mythology nature of the show. They could either show the finale right afterwards or push it back a week.
If they do decide to not air "Reunion" until a later date or until the DVDs come out I'll be faced with a very tough choice of whether to watch the finale or try to hold out until I can watch the episodes in the order they were intended to air (which I'm not sure I'll have the strength to do lol).
They're supposed to be airing both 3x12 ("Reunion"-the episode that was preempted last night) and the finale next week in Canada and 3x12 is supposed to air in the UK on December 18th, but Syfy might decide to not show it in any country if they decide to postpone showing it in the US until a later date after the finale (or just putting it on the DVDs). Guess we'll find out when they make some sort of press release.
ReplyDeleteBTW I did hear a couple people say that they lived in Canada and that they saw the episode, but I'm pretty sure they're just trolls because even Emily Rose said on Twitter that Canada wouldn't have the episode show until next week.
I have to agree with you Linda. I think Syfy was right to pull it last night, but there comes a point where it comes to a point where it's arguable what's compassionate and what's pushing it too far. People can choose not to watch the show or fast forward through certain parts (or not watch them), from what I can tell the murders take place at a high school reunion and have to do with adults not children or teenagers (and knowing this show it will either be tied into the troubles or mythology, which is all Science Fiction), and third at a certain point I wonder if by postponing any episodes of any show indefinitely (I'm not talking about one week here mind you-that's compassion in my eyes) we're not contributing to future ideas of madmen or psychos thinking that they can control the media even further by controlling the content of what airs on fictional TV.
