The concern in Damon's voice when he says Elena's name is wonderful. This, and his declaration that he cares about her no matter what tonight, I'm happy :)
i'm not sure if it's Elena who can't handle to be a vampire or, deep down, if is Stefan who can't deal with it. I love the way Damon accepts her no matter what
I agree! It definitely seems like Stefan has more trouble dealing with the situation, than Elena does. She might've killed the hunter this week, but she wasn't high on blood this time, she was defending her friends and (only remaining) family member. And yes, she was crying her eyes out after, but I remember Caroline doing the same and see how she turned out. Stefan should be teaching her instead of constantly reminding her how bad it is to be a vampire with his "your emotions are heightened" and "I understand your pain"
'consequence to killing a hunter' really? Aside from being, on the surface, completely ridiculous. I's unnecessary. They have repeatedly told us that Elena would not handle it emotionally if she killed (because her emotions are heightened) The apparent 'Elena is flipping out' story would work just fine if it's an emotional reaction to her killing (because, as we've been repeatedly told...her emotions are heightened) someone without this silly consequence idea. I mean really...we're talking vampires and people whose job is to hunt an kill them. Was it really a good idea to add in the caveat that if a vampire kills one of them they go on a hallucinatory rampage? That just causes more problems than you had when they were just vampires. Not to mention the fact was this 'consequence" supposed to make vampires think twice about killing someone coming to kill them? And if they tell me Klaus was immune I'm going to scream.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
This promo was 10 seconds longer but didn't really cover any new ground. Bummer.

ReplyDeleteOh the other hand....KATHERINE IS BACK YAY!!!
shoot. I'm hoping it's really her. But I suspect you're right. I was so busy ranting about the consequence I didn't even stop to consider this.
ReplyDeleteDoes it matter if it's real Katherine or not? We're getting some Katherine action so be grateful.
