Yesterday, somehow getting lost in the shuffle of Disney/LucasFilm news, a lonely tweet popped up from the official Annapurna Pictures Twitter account, teasing the future of the Terminator series and the possibility of a reboot film.
Annapurna Pictures tweeted with the following: “‘The whole thing goes: The future’s not set. There’s no fate but what we make for ourselves.’ – John Connor, Terminator 2 (news is coming).” Can we assume the announcement of either Terminator 5 or a new Terminator reboot could be the news in question? Hollywood producer Megan Ellison of Annapurna Pictures bought the rights to the Terminator series in May 2011. If nothing is done with the property by 2018, the rights to the series revert back to James Cameron.

T:SCC S3 or I don't care.
ReplyDeleteEven if it is impossible.
That would be so much fun, loved T:SCC.
ReplyDeleteScc is the best part in the series, even though the logic in the beginning ruins it a bit....but I would like a reboot, why? Well, there's stories to yet be told, but the current series is way to messy...try to have a Terminator-marathon and you'll understand..
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to see T:SCC back on TV I really hope this happens.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I want the TV series story to continue from where it left off ... or I am not interested.
ReplyDeleteJust make Terminator 5 and 6 with Christian Bale like the original plan, I'd be happy with that.
ReplyDeleteSighs I adore the first two movies and the TV series but the last two films had flaws. A reboot would make me sad because Judgement Day is so perfect.
ReplyDeletereboot only if done properly!
ReplyDeleteJust give us part 5 and end it!!!!
