No, they can still in theory get pulled. It's unlikely but say a show like Go On that has a full season pickup the ratings plummet etc they network would simply cancel it then and there, air the remaining episodes either off primetime (Sat, Summer) or online and move another show or higher rated repeats in their place.
emily owens is my guess. i know the cw does not usually cancel shows before the end of the season and that letting it go would imply having an hour of repeats every week, but since those repeats would pull the same numbers as emily owens originals, i dont see the point of keeping it around. the other candidate would be mob doctor, but for some reason, fox is adamtn in keeping it, otherwise it would have been the first canceled. As for the others, all of them have full season pickups and I expect them to air the whole season as such, even though I predict a bloodbath at the end of the season. The exception is malibu country, but that's because it is very new. I think it will get a full season, unless it goes below 1 or something today.
Only The Mob Doctor, Emily Owens and Don't trust the B in Apartment 23 are at risk. All other shows in the poll have full season orders. Even The Mob Doctor and Emily Owens are likely to air it's full 13 episodes. The networks have no replacements.
I thought Emily Owens was already cancelled? I could swear i read it somewhere. I don't think Nashville will make it,i haven't watched any of the other shows so i couldn't say..
..for me the only BAD thing the beauty and the beast had is the female main character is like seen a 15 year old teen playing police woman or detective if find another actress who had and imposing presence example.(MARISKA HARGITAY -LAW /ORDER SVU,.or stana.katic-castle) i hope all of you UNDERSTAND MY POINT..IF anyone had another female suggestion please let me know just for curiosity
Last Resort and 666 Park Ave both had extra scripts ordered last month. No matter what positive indications come from the networks, the moment the ratings drop shows get dumped. It would not surprise me if the announcement of those script orders had purely been for publicity just to give people confidence that the shows would get picked up. Networks have blatantly lied in the past to get people to watch shows.
As long as Nashville, Go On, Happy Endings and the Mob Doctor survive I could lose all others. I really like The Mob Doctor and think its getting better, I'm not sure of it will be enough to save it though.
I'm afraid it will need a miracle to save the Mob Doctor :(
If you look at our Cancellation Predictor table it does not make pleasant reading http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/09/the-spoilertv-cancellation-predictor.html
no back 9 tends to mean cancelled even if a show only had a 13 episode order to begin with, networks give nearly all shows 13 episode initial orders hoping they do well enough to get a back 9 if they dont get the ratings they dont get the back 9 and are therefore cancelled. So people are right when they say 666 and Last Resort were cancelled because they were.
For sure Mob Doctor, the ratings are terrible. I also think if ratings for Don't trust the B keep going down it will be canned (plus ABC has other comedies waiting). Happy Endings should be ok and I know Ben and Kate have pretty terrible ratings.
I don't know exactly about Apartment 23's early cancelation. They won't have anything to pair Happy Endings with then, since all of their comedies are paired already. Unfortunately, I do agree that it looks like it's toast at season's end though
I just meant that I prefer to call them "not renewed". "Cancelled" is such an ugly word and I tend to associate it with shows that are abruptly pulled off the air (ie. Partners) and not shows that get to air all the episodes ordered. You say tomato, I say tomahto :)
@twitter-89758805:disqus Our definition of "Cancelled" here at SpoilerTV is that if a season starts and then during that season the network announces that there will be no new season then it's deemed as Cancelled.
If a network in the prior season or before a season airs says that that the next season will be the last, eg Fringe, Gossip Girl, 30 Rock etc then we deem those shows as "Ending".
..my friend she had more police body presence that the teen beauty even Stana share her tricks called body posture ,.clothing.pose is more visually attractive
Yeah, the show only dropped one-tenth in the demo week-to-week. Not to mention that comparing the viewership change over a one-week period doesn't really mean much anyway.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
why are the show with full season pickup included?
ReplyDeleteThey can still technically be cancelled :)
ReplyDeletenot in the middle of the season right?
ReplyDeleteu mean to say for the 2nd season
I just love how strong Go On is right now!

ReplyDeleteOMG! i didn't knew that.... Thanks
ReplyDeleteMob Doctor and Emily Owens
ReplyDeleteMaybe Revolution?! As it will fall into mid 1s
ReplyDeleteBut it is pretty unlikely :)
ReplyDeletelet just hope it doesn't happen
ReplyDeleten what happened to the HIMYM badges? i really wanted to see them
http://spoilertv.co.uk/images/misc/Badgeville%20Badges/HIMYM/
Opps, try now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Very Much.. Love Them :)

ReplyDeleteHow The Mob Doctor has even survived this long, I don't even understand.
ReplyDeleteI thought Emily Owens was already cancelled? I could swear i read it somewhere. I don't think Nashville will make it,i haven't watched any of the other shows so i couldn't say..
ReplyDeleteThe Following will take FOX's Monday at 9 slot in January, so technically The Mob Doctor has already been cancelled.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't consider shows that air all 13 episodes that were ordered (see "666" and "Last Resort") "cancelled" but people seems to do, so...
..for me the only BAD thing the beauty and the beast had is the female main character is like seen a 15 year old teen playing police woman or detective if find another actress who had and imposing presence example.(MARISKA HARGITAY -LAW /ORDER SVU,.or stana.katic-castle) i hope all of you UNDERSTAND MY POINT..IF anyone had another female suggestion please let me know just for curiosity
ReplyDeleteWhitney and The Neighbors.

ReplyDeleteOther - (I hope) Hannibal
ReplyDeleteAre the voters are stupids? The Neighbors doing good scores
ReplyDeleteI hope this is wrong, I like Beauty and the Beast!

If it holds at its current level 0.6/0.7 for the rest of the season I can see it being renewed, apparently its quite cheap to produce.
ReplyDeletemy guess is a lot of fans are voting for shows they want cancelled rather than the ones that are most likely to be cancelled
ReplyDeleteno back 9 tends to mean cancelled even if a show only had a 13 episode order to begin with, networks give nearly all shows 13 episode initial orders hoping they do well enough to get a back 9 if they dont get the ratings they dont get the back 9 and are therefore cancelled. ReplyDeleteEmily being cancelled was a false report, it hasn't been cancelled yet
ReplyDeleteNashville will at the very least make it till the end of this season alos factor in how many ABC shows are in serious trouble
FOX's serious lack of options?
ReplyDeleteBeauty and the Beast... please NOOOO... we deserve at least a full season!
ReplyDeleteThe ratings are stable and the show has already been picked up for a full season. At the moment there's nothing to be concerned about.
ReplyDeleteMy guesses would be: Mob Doctor, Guys with Kids, and hopefully Whitney
ReplyDeleteFor sure Mob Doctor, the ratings are terrible. I also think if ratings for Don't trust the B keep going down it will be canned (plus ABC has other comedies waiting). Happy Endings should be ok and I know Ben and Kate have pretty terrible ratings.
ReplyDeleteNo I think NBC ordered a full season, plus the actual ratings are quite good compared to the other shows it competes against. (H5o and Castle)
ReplyDeleteThe Mob Doctor,no doubt.Mondays are tough, they should change the day.By the way,Beauty and the Beast has already received the back nine.
ReplyDeleteI'll stick with that... and i'll keep my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI'm agree with you!
ReplyDeleteI don't know exactly about Apartment 23's early cancelation. They won't have anything to pair Happy Endings with then, since all of their comedies are paired already. Unfortunately, I do agree that it looks like it's toast at season's end though
ReplyDeleteI can't believe The Neighbors is still going... it's atrocious. I also voted for Mob Doctor and Emily Owens.
ReplyDeleteSustainable concepts are getting harder and harder to come by.
ReplyDeletewhoah Last Resort got cancelled? The submarine one? How did that happen?
ReplyDeleteI just meant that I prefer to call them "not renewed". "Cancelled" is such an ugly word and I tend to associate it with shows that are abruptly pulled off the air (ie. Partners) and not shows that get to air all the episodes ordered.

Not stable at all. last week a go it got 1.8 mil viewers, now it's only 1.5 mil viewers on final rating
ReplyDelete@shouichie:disqus Total Viewers is irrelevant in terms of cancellation. You need to look at the 18-49 Demographic numbers.
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about. Mariska Hargitay of SVU doesn't make an imposing presence at all.
ReplyDelete..my friend she had more police body presence that the teen beauty even Stana share her tricks called body posture ,.clothing.pose is more visually attractive

ReplyDeleteBeauty and The Beast needs to improve in numbers or else The CW will cancel just like the Secret Circle.
