That's easy..."The Last Dragonlord" is the best episode of the whole show, period. Merlin has to face the consequences of his actions, Arthur gets some insights, a little bit drama sprincled in, at was everything I wanted the show to be.
There are so many great ones here, can't choose a favorite! But I'm gonna go with The Once and Future Queen just because it's the first episode of Merlin I've ever seen!
The Last Dragonlord is the best episode of them all. I also loved The Lady of The Lake. I have a soft spot for The once and future queen because it's in this once we got to see olf Merlin created by Merlin. Colin Morgan especailly is fantastic in them... but I also think Colin Morgan is always fantastic.
Yeah, there are a few good ones, which shows how great "The Last Dragonlord" truly is. I guess, "The Lady of the Lake" would have been my second choice, because I really liked Freya, though I only thought that it should have been a two-parter
The Last Dragonlord is right on top there, but I also feel that there are some really good ones here. Also loved: The Lady in the Lake, The Once and Future Queen and The Witchfinder. But Merlin meeting his father only so fleetingly and then losíng him so quickly was heartbreaking and so well played by Colin. I also loved the introduction of the dragonlord abilities. Which makes me wonder if Arthur is ever going to find out about that!
This Is Soo Hard....IM JUST........! xx ♥♥ EACH EPISODE ARE ALL MY FAVORITES,BUT I WOULD GIVE THE SPECIAL ANNOUNCMENT TO ''The Lady Of The Lake'' And "The Last Dragonlord''.!!!!!!! xx ♥♥
The Fires of Idirsholas...I never get tired of watching that episode, it had the familiar elements but it was so different at the same time. Like they said in the audio commentaries of that ep, there were two battles, the external with Morgause and the knights, and the internal between Merlin and his decision to poison Morgana (a moment that changed the course of the show forever). A fantastic performance once again by Colin Morgan, and one of the darkest episodes of that series, for me anyway.
I read in some other forums that people consider S2 the weakest, but for me it was the best series of Merlin, in terms of writting and character development, and it has my favourite episodes to date (The Nightmare Begins, The Witchfinder, The Sins of the Father, The Witch's Quickening, The Fires of Idirsholas and The Last Dragonlord).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It was between Sins of the Father - great Epsiode and awesome play by Colin and Bradley...and The last Dragonlord

ReplyDeleteOld Merlin didn't turn up until season 3..."The once and future Queen" is the episode in which Arthur secretly partakes in a tournament.

I agree with you...season 2 started out pretty weak, but it totally made up for it in the later episodes.
