  1. Darryl with the baby was the cutest thing ever.

Ship Andrea/Michonne, although I think Michonne deserves better.

  2. Not as intense as last week, but this episode was just weird! Great... but weird. Zombie daughters, Rick's breakdown, walker arena battles, mysterious phone calls (telephones work). Best thing was Daryl in a poncho, and Daryl being softie with Lil Ass Kicker :-)

  3. I assume Michonne will meet up with Glen/Maggie on a supply run or something like that. One way or another she's going to find Rick's group. I wonder what'll happen to Rick in the next episode.

  4. I think that the phone call can be just an hallucination. I hope not, though.

  5. Finally we got to see the Death Arena matches and the Gov's walker daughter but too bad they skipped the horrible damages that Michonne did to the Gov before she left.....poor Rick, hope they dont keep him on the "phone' storyline too long.....it was dragged out in the comics......

so happy they found formular for the baby....Loved Daryl feeding her and naming her ass-kicker, lol.....her name btw will be Judith....☺....

  6. This episode was alright. I felt like this was a setup for the next episode rather than revealing anything important, but maybe I'm biased from last week's thrilling episode.

I'm surprised that did the telephone thing this early, but then again it goes with Lori's death so maybe it's not that much of a shocker. I much admit that Michonne has some sword skills because that wasn't really shown in the comic books. Oh, it was nice to meet Governor's daughter, Zombie Penny, isn't she cute, lol.

  7. Maybe Michonne will meet up with Rick's group and then she'll tell Rick about Andrea and they'll go on a rescue mission or something. Maybe then, Michonne might receive the "damage" you wanted to see, lol. Or they might not show that at all, since it was pretty disturbing and graphic in terms of the dialogue between Michonne and Governor.

  8. Amazing episode!! So many great things in this one from The Phone, the Arena fights and Penny. It keeps getting better and better. This is easily the best show on TV

  9. I am so glad they didn't drop the zombie daughter and the zombie fight ring, those 2 elements were big things that contributed to the evilness of the Governor. That being said, for those who have read the comics, the zombie ring could be seen a mile away. I'm curious if Andrea will end up in the role that Michonne was in in the comics... that would not go well.

Daryl with the baby was pretty funny. Rick was a total bad ass just hacking and slicing everything. For a minute I thought they were going to disappoint us with Carl not actually shooting his mom, but lo and behold, another zombie ate his dead mom. The phone call... I didn't expect it this early but makes sense with where it was placed in the comics... definitely was not anticipating that at the end, but oh so glad they did.

Hopefully Michonne will meet up with the rest of our survivors because that'd be awesome. Michonne + Daryl + Rick = Zombies Killing Machine.

And where the hell did Carol go?

  10. Man, I'm really wishing that Andrea isn't the substitute for what happens to Michonne in the comic books cause I don't think Andrea can ever recuperate for that dreadful incident. Plus, I want to see the sharp shooter Andrea in the future as you know she's a vital person in the group because of that.

  11. Not quite as strong as last week as this was more setup but still a great ep nonetheless. The one thing that I might have a quibble about is that I read the comics up to the point that Michonne arrived at the prison and that's about it. I've heard that she really becomes a great character who really kicks ass and takes names and kinda becomes a leader in the group and supposedly had a bit of personality. I certainly hope that happens soon with the show's version as they have her playing one note, just scowling and generally being angry all the time, which is ok I just which she could add a bit of subtlety. But at least she can definitely kick ass. Good that Andrea has seen that Michonne was right and Woodbury and the Governor aren't what they are led to believe. One thing that I didn't get that sure it's understandable that Rick is flipping out and on a one man walker extermination rampage, but no one went in to watch his back just in case? Sure Glenn checked in on him, but left... odd Daryl the baby whisperer and nickname giver was awesome, and cool to see him channeling his inner Clint Eastwood wearing the poncho...

  12. I didnt want to see the damage done to Michonne....i wanted to see the damage done to the Gov....for me as a woman what she did to his penis was just Awesome...Ouch, LOL.........Ahhhh, ur right bout the baby's name, i forgot, maybe thats why they didnt name her yet...or maybe there will be no need to, right.....☺......

  13. u know where Carol is....she's holed up somewhere with Tyresse having sex like crazy with him, lol.....oops, sorry....we're not in the comics, lol....☺....

  14. After seeing the promo for next episode, I fear for Maggie instead :'(

    ReplyDelete
  15. Haha I totally forgot about that part in the comics. But it makes total sense that's where she's at.

    ReplyDelete
  16. That's a good point, Andrea is nowhere near as resilient as Michonne and likely would break down substantially from that whole ordeal. I'm curious if Andrea will ever become her bad ass, sniper version from the comics.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I never read the comics... What's this whole phone thing about?

    ReplyDelete
  18. This is a spoiler site, but I'll throw up this warning just in case there's someone who doesn't want to know stuff from the comics. So WARNING: potential spoiler based off comics.

After Lori died in the comics, Rick and Carl were in a house and Rick heard the phone ring. He talked to the woman on the other end for a couple days, explaining what had happened, only to find out that the phone wasn't connected to anything and that he was hearing Lori's voice speak to him. He started carrying around the phone just so he could hear her voice even though he wasn't actually hearing anything.

  19. Another story development episode and that is OK with me as I tend to enjoy those MORE than the heavy walker killing action episodes.

IF I were Michonne I think I would move on and ditch Andrea and not look back. From the looks of things she was better off on her own, at least safer since Andrea is like a dim-witted baby that needs looking after.

Glad to see the comic book reader teased fighting arena and walker daughter! They certainly add a level of context to the Governor, although I think we knew what kind of man he was already. Truth be told I do not see him as true evil I guess... maybe lawful evil to use a classic character alignment. XD
I see him more as the ultimate walking/ talking incarnation of the ends justify the means. Sure in normal society he would be locked up, but in this world he has gravitas and vision to hold a community together which is not a commodity that is in great supply. Sadly his strength of personality is not matched by his strength of character!

    How creeptastic was Rick's rampage?
Andrew Lincoln does dark and incoherent so very well! There were so many layers in his quasi-unconscious state. You could see the pain, the anger, the loss, the spite, the rage and so much more. When Rick saw Lori's blood trail and the bloated walker stomach with Lori in its belly... WOW! I almost thought he was going to cut the walker open and retrieve the semi-digested Lori from its stomach......

Was nice to see Daryl step up in Rick's absence and take control of the group, although like a few others I found it odd that no one was following Rick and watching his back. Sure Rick knows how to fight walkers and was in a berzerker state turning him into a killing machine, but even the ultimate warrior could slip or get cornered etc.....

  21. Dammit! I can't believe I read that KNOWING I was going to regret it. What a tool! Still, the producers might change it up a bit. Could be anyone on the other end.

  22. Sorry, but does one of the graves belong to Carol or something? Didn't see any body discovered and why would she have disappeared for THIS long when they are all in the one location?? Who did Daryl leave the flower for at the grave?

Overall, I loved this episode. I'm enjoying this different side of the governor, you see flashes of the comic book character, and think the writers are doing the right thing of letting this character build up throughout the season.

Michonne is just badass, nothing else needs to be said there!

  23. Aaack. She did what to his peepee? Oh no! The only comic I read had Michonne coming to the prison, so it's a good guess that happens. Pregnant Lori was still alive at that point. So looking forward to how things are changed up.

  24. Awesome episode, with a lot happening. If I were Andrea, I would absolutely do the same, stupid thing. I also would be tired at that point, and relishing some comfort and cold drinks. I haven't read more than one comic, and they're changing things anyway, so I anxiously await the next episodes. Apparently, Carol died and is buried, but I did not see her body being discovered. Touching when Carl rattled off all the names of the dead females. Michonne is a fascinating character, smart and capable.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lol. Believe or not, she didn't do anything to Governor's penis, lol. It would have made sense if Michonne did something to it, since what happen was from it. The weird thing is that she practically did everything else except involving the penis.

  26. Ha ya, I can't tell you how many times I said that "I can't believe I read that, knowing..." when Lost was on. Figured it'd be at least a bit of warning just to be fair instead of posting spoilers that some people don't want to read... even though they come onto a spoiler site.

And of course, there is still the opportunity that they can change it up a bit. Maybe the writers are expecting those who read the comics to expect Lori's voice, but it's not, which will surprise even us who have read the comics.

  28. Loved this episode. I like the episodes with some character development much more than the zombie killing episodes. I don´t know what to think of this new side of Rick, but boy, Lincoln did a great job.
Daryl holding the baby was great.
The Govenor is a real creepy guy and I love it. Never read the comics and didn´t know that Penny was "sick", I wish Michonne had had little more time to look around.

  29. this is my favorite show so even i say a bad thing... it's still very good. This being said, this was the most frustrating episode of the series so far for me. They are trying too hard to make us care about the whole governor/ michone storyline and it is not working for me. I like it moderately but on the aftermath of an episode like the one from last week, I wanted to see them dealing. I wanted prison only honestly. Rick's grief could have carried the entire episode. Add to that the whole "we were a family" thing that glenn touched on (which was my favorite scene of the episode btw) and it would have been an amazing episode and what people wanted (at least me) following last week's emotional episode. They should really cut on the village scenes... I don't feel attachment to them and I don't want the groups to merge at all. The phone scene at the end was shocking though. Loved, loved daryl in this one. And where the hell is carol?

  30. "hello dinner" is going to be the most quoted line this season.

  31. **************** S P O I L E R **********************************

wait a minute...i just read that chapter and when she breaks into his apt, she has him on a big wooden board naked, with his arms spread out and tied with rope and on his knees....then to prevent him from getting up she "Nails" his penis to the board.....thats a fact cause i just read it...and for those that want to know the rest...she drills a hole on his shoulder.....she rips off every finger nail from his right hand.....she takes a very large spoon and sticks it up his anus....then with the same spoon full of doodoo, she uses it to take out his left eye ball out of its socket....then to finish, she notices that he has no more use of his hand cause he has no more fingernails so she Chops it off.....and this all happens when the Woodbury doctor and nurse had escaped with the rest....and thats the reason why if u see a pic of the Gov in the comics, he has a patch over his eye......

and thats the whole truth...its all in black&white...its in Book 6 towards the end.... ☺.....

  32. gosh dane....penny isnt sick....u sound like hershel when rick first spoke to him, thinking all the walkers were just sick, lol.....Penny is a Full Blown little girl ZOMBIE, Walker, Biter, whatever name u want to say....wait till u see what the Gov brings her to eat, lol....☺....

  33. Lol. Sorry, I missed the word "Prick" in the readings. You're right about the penis treatment, lol.

  34. :-D yeah, I know. Sorry if it could be miss understod. I know what she is.

  35. I'm still pretty sure he's gonna hear Lori's voice. I mean, how big are the chances of someone else calling a prison boiler room phone in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? :P

Besides, Rick was still covered in blood in that scene, but in the sneak peek when he goes to check on the others, he's cleaned up and doesn't mention anything about a phone call, which he wouldn't keep to himself if it was anybody other than Lori.

  36. CAROL!!!! someone has to go screaming that Carl doesn't get as lost as he used to.

    ReplyDelete
  37. If Carol is still alive, who were the 3 grave holes for?
Awesome episode! I have not read the comics yet, so I am surprised by everything. The phone call was great (we were guessing some inner-connect between jail institutions)! I hated the fighting ring (especially seeing the kids there).

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm fairly sure it'll be Lori's voice as well, since Sarah Wayne Callies is credited for the next few episodes.

  39. The commenter put sick in parenthesis - I think they know Penny's a zombie.

  40. I don't understand the big deal about the baby formula, honestly. Non-breastfeeding mothers found ways to feed babies BEFORE the invention of formula. Hershel is old enough to remember those days. My own mother remembers those days. Same goes for the diapers. Um, all diapers were cloth for ages. It's not a life and death situation there, friends.

  42. I thought it was good. Andrea was frustrating though! After 8 months together, you'd think she'd listen to Michonne more.
