  4. Okay, I have to admit because I was whispering, "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes..." over and over again when Stefan and Elena were talking. DELENA in two weeks! And while Caroline and Tyler were talking, my mom was talking to me and wouldn't SHUT UP! I missed what she said to Tyler (finding out on Tumblr always helps :D). KLAROLINE!

so i missed tiny sentences from stefan and elena at the end they decided to break up? did she admit she loves damon?

  6. Why in 2 weeks? Why not next week?

    ReplyDelete
  7. It's Thanksgiving.

  8. DELENAAAA!!!! ah I loved this episode.
The way she held damon's hand, and damon STILL told her the truth even if it ruined the moment for them. Ahhhh i was screaming with joy as she told stefan that she wasn't that girl that picked him anymore!!!

    Damon <3

  9. The ending made no sense. Wouldn't her feelings for Stefan be magnified as well? Great episode but I couldn't care less about the triangle, seems to be the most boring part of the show for me. The story of Silas was intriguing, maybe Shane is Silas and he's the great evil coming but as just an immortal wouldn't he be less powerful than an Original

    ReplyDelete
  10. Tiny recap anyone? Sounds like it was an exciting episode for Delena shippers (like me!)

    ReplyDelete
  11. It makes perfect sense, it means that she already loved Damon more than Stefan before she became a vampire, but wouldn't admit it so when it magnified, she couldn't lie to herself anymore, at least that's my interpretation. And Stelena fans, don't down grade my comment, it's Elena, so by the end of the season she could love Stefan more again, it's just the way the show is. It's a triangle. It's Delena turn now (yay!! but I'm not delusional to think this is the end of Stelena because it's not)

    ReplyDelete
  12. She didn't really admit she loved Damon, she just strongly implied it. Just more about how she made her decision between them when she was human and now everything is different since her feelings are magnified. Stefan just said that he couldn't be with her anymore because he can't deal with the fact that not only does Elena have feelings for his brother, but also because she trusts Damon more than him. So, yeah, they broke up.

    ReplyDelete
  13. No offence, but since today I f***ing hate Thanksgiving.

I have to wait one week longer. Why aren't they showing it next week? Thanksgiving is perfect. Everybody is home and watches TV.

  14. really awesome episode this time! big shocker first with neck-stabbed jer, then the whole hunter-curse story and in the end the break up talk...... at least i hope bonnie won't trust handsome prof in the future, she should be smarter cause his knowledge about everything is way to much for a normal professor!

    ReplyDelete
  15. For similar reasons shows aren't on at Christmas and New Year's

    ReplyDelete
  16. I agree that the triangle(s) (albeit a big part of the show overall mythology) can get pretty stale and tired -especially when it feels that they beat you over the head with it almost every week. Kinda just wish that they would finally make a choice and stay with it. The one thing that I don't get is why Stefan is working with Klaus unless he has a big plan to hide her from him once she's human as he knew that Klaus was originally going to kidnap and keep Elena around as his blood bag to create his hybrids, so he still is a threat....

    ReplyDelete
  17. True.

But it still pisses me off to wait a week longer.

    ReplyDelete
  18. West coast? I am, and it sucks :/

    ReplyDelete
  19. Gotta say this episode was very predictable. I knew what was going to happen, nothing really surprising in this episode. It was an ok episode.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think Tys point was that Klaus DIDN'T care about that dead hybrid. He cared more about the hunter. And of course for his doppelganger.
Klaus wants to be invited inside Elenas house? Keep on dreaming, honey.
"Believe me it's for her own good" Yeah, right. Her own good, or Klaus?
"She needs my help" Interesting. Her life was pretty fine till he showed up. It wasn't perfect. But it was her life and she was happy. Than this psycho showed up and made her life a hell. So, honey, if you want to help Elena get the f**k out of her life.
"Caroline, you're beautiful. But if you don't stop talking I will kill you" That was just priceless.
"If Tyler would be still sired to me he never would have hurt you. I wouldn't let him" Than maybe I have problems with my memory, cause Ty almost killed Caroline on her birthday, cause KLAUS ordered him to. Does this idiot believes himself when he talks shit like that?
I know I said that couple of times during the last two weeks, but I got to repeat it. I got that Elena hates being a vampire. But she's a vampire for what? 2 weeks? 3? In MF time. She'll adjust. But what is the alternative? Being Klaus slave? His walking blood bag for the next 50-60 years? Being his breeding mare for the next generation? If I were her I would do anything to prevent Klaus getting that cure. Even if I hate being a vampire, it's at least my life. It's more that shecan say about her human life. Truth be told, since the vampires reappeared in MF they controlled her life. Now she can be free. Better that being a slave.
The good think about Jeremy being a hunter? He has the ultimate protection. Especially from
Klaus. "Give me a stake I'll kill Damon right now." That was amazing! I'm sorry about that hybrid. And I agree with Tyler. They could have found another vampire. Or turn someone.
Stefan broke up with Elena. But why I got the feeling he made it sound like it's her fault?
And why is everyone so blind to the fact that our dear professor seems to know so much about the hunters? More than the hunters known themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I can't wait to see Elena and Damon together.
Stefan broke up with her. So, if she now goes to Damon he can't blame her.
But he did made it sound like it's her fault. First, you can't choose who you love. If you love someone you can't just decide to not love him anymore. Second, it's not her fault that he isn't willing to fight for her and their relationship. Maybe he has the feeling she's not worth it. Third, he's right when he said that he let her down, when he was ripper. He knew that she has feeling for Damon, she didn't deny it. And every idiot with one eye could see it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Awful. How can a show be both overly predictable and illogical?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah, poor Jeremy. Good think he kept the ring. Maybe they should try sending him out of
town again. They maybe should try another continent.
Sure, Elena could heal him with vampire blood. But if he dies before it works, we got one
more vampire in town. And in the family.
Yeah, I've been just wondering how everyone is blind to the comprehensive knowledge of our dear prof. about the vampires and the hunters. Especially the hunters.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Or maybe it's just a story he told the students. Or this really could be the coming evil.
    We'll see.
What she feels for Damon is more physical, I think. So maybe that’s the reason. Or, maybe it's that it was his blood that turned her. Or his blood she fed on.

    ReplyDelete
  25. What she feels for Damon is more physical, I think. So maybe that’s the reason. Or, maybe it's that it was his blood that turned her. Or his blood she fed on. Or simply, that she could rely on him when Stefan let her down.
And I believe too, that sooner or later (probably before the end of the season) she'll be
    with Stefan again.
So the delena fans just have to enjoy while they can.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Predictable? Yes. The hallucinations and her being healed of it.
But who predicted Stefan breaking up with Elena?
Or Caroline to agree on a date with Klaus?

    ReplyDelete
  27. YES!!! YES!! THEY BROKE UP!!! YES!!! DELENA FOREVER!!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  28. Just saying it's more physical between Damon and Elena in my opinion is too basic an answer, they got really close, like it or not. She trusts Damon more now that she trusts Stefan. She confides in Damon and Damon is always there for her, even when she doesn't want him to be, even when she hates him for it. The physical part is a factor, but I dont think it's a major one. And thank you, I will enjoy Delena however long I have them because I'm not bitter and I accept that it's a triangle that won't be decided until the series finale. She could go back to Stefan, sure, but she can go right back to Damon too. So BOTH ships should just enjoy it as a whole and not gripe.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "The physical part is a factor, but I don't think it's a major one" Well it started that way. Just this amazingly strong attraction they had (which you could see at their first dance and in the flashback where they first met). I know they got closer over the seasons. She trusted him. He was there for her, helped her, protected her, … while Stefan was busy kissing Klaus ass and killing for him. Or killing his hybrids as revenge, instead of trying to make it up to Elena. But it was also Elena that brought up the best in him. She was also the first one to see that there is more to him than this ass he was in the beginning of S1.

Oh, honey, I keep telling that till the end of last season nothing is decided. She was with Stefan, but felt attracted to Damon. Now she'll be with Damon, but will miss Stefan. Then she'll be with Stefan again, … She won't make up her mind and stay with one brother until the show comes to an end.

But at least she's not Katerina, sleeping with both brothers at the same time. Tonight with Stefan, tomorrow with Damon, the night after that again Stefan …

  30. I see the Writers are Pushing DE the ship of crap and its Bring the show down to the pit with it will not be watching TVD next ep are really any de ep of TVD I Will not be giving them any kind of Rating for the Poor Storytelling they are showing

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yes, that's the point! It started out that way but it's not the major reason why now. And yes Elena does bring out the best in Damon. I personally think they balance each other well. She helps him make the more human choices and he helps her have more fun, be impulsive for a change and see things differently than she normally would. And yes, at least she's not Katherine (though I love her but I don't love how she played the brothers)

    ReplyDelete
  32. First, I think it makes perfect sense that Elena is now feeling more for Damon than she used to. Between her new memories, the bond they formed last year, and her getting in touch with her darker instincts, which both draw her to Damon and provide something that Damon can deal with but Stefan can't, it's not surprising that Vamp!Elena has been pushed from being attracted to Damon (which Stefan can deal with) to being at least halfway in love with him (which is a lot harder to swallow, especially when it's your brother). But as much as the Delena lover in me wants to jump up and down and throw happy Delena parties, there's two problems I see:

Number one: All that mess last year about making a choice and it lasted six episodes. Not that I wish she hadn't chosen differently, but one of the good things about Elena (and what made the love triangle kinda work for me) is that while she may have had feelings for two guys, she always knew where her heart was and who she was loyal to. First two seasons that was Stefan, and most of last season it was Damon (at least the loyal part). Now she's getting on a run of flip flopping, which made sense at the end of last season, but kinda needs to stop now. We already have a Katherine, Elena. Let's pick now: Damon, Stefan, single. Make a decision and make it stick until May sweeps.

Number two: The Loophole. Vamp!Elena wants Damon. Human!Elena wants Stefan. Now there's a possible cure. Everybody else see the problem here? Whatever it means for the future of the triangle - and I can see it going a lot of ways - I imagine it can't be good. Will Elena hold Damon off because of this? Will she go for it with him, only to end up choosing the cure, and Stefan, over him again? Will Damon want to help Stefan find the cure if he realizes what this means for his chances with Elena? Will Stefan stop looking for the cure for altruistic reasons and see it as his only shot at stealing his girl back? And will the brothers be able to work together once they understand where the lines are drawn when it comes Elena's affection? Oh so many complications.

On the episode itself, it was pretty good. I hope that we can start to move past mopey, guilty Elena for a while. I've had about enough of her. Loved seeing Katherine, even as a hallucination. Jeremy had some great moments - "Great. Get me a stake, I'll kill Damon right now." I know everyone's team Klauroline, and I get that, but Tyler was definitely in the right here. Yes, they had to save Elena, but throwing another friend under the bus and having his girlfriend promise a date to somebody else was a bad option, too. Damon was being very supportive of Stelena, calling Stefan and telling Elena about the cure, and Stefan was being pretty awesome himself, accepting the Delena connection without punching anybody. I think I'll enjoy the good brother stuff while it lasts, because I have a feeling it won't for much longer. And I liked the break-up, because it was nice and mature and didn't make me get annoyed with either character or the couple. Pretty excited to see next week's episode, my cynicism aside.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Rose said to Jeremy that Damon is either the best or the worst thing for Elena. Now it's the best. Cause right now she's a new vampire and truth be told, Stefan is the last to teach Elena about being a vampire. Except maybe Klaus. She's definitely the best thing for Damon. Even if he believed at the beginning that it's making him weak (friends, emotions, caring for others). But after she adjust to her new life, I fear that she'll be more attracted to Stefan.

Elena is definitely not Katerina. Doesn't mean history can't repeat itself. Both brothers love her. And she loves both of them. Since no one likes to share, they will fight again. No matter that they made that stupid agreement (the one she doesn't choose leaves). Elena tries to keep them calm. But if she can't make up her mind … I know she chose Stefan and now, that they broke up, she'll probably be with Damon. But she's been undecided before …

    ReplyDelete
  34. Delena parties? Can I come?
NO1: You said yourself why she now feels closer to Damon. And I think you're right. So
there is no wonder she changed her mind. Both times when she chose Stefan she was human. In S1 and S3. She's a vampire now.
NO2: Don't get me wrong, but please slow down. First, we don't even know if there actually
IS a cure. Becca brought up the cure. Alex was using the word weapon. A weapon that no vampire could survive. And as a cure he could have meant killing them. Healing a vampire form the evil by killing them (the same principle they used by burning witches). Second, Klaus didn't came across a hunter in 900 years. It could take them decades finding the others.
And if I were Elena I'd rather stay a vampire, even if I hate it, then being Klaus prisoner,
blood bag and breeding mare for the rest of my life. Thanks, I choose freedom.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm just super relieved that those hallucinations Elena had are an actual curse and not some "ohhh I feel so bad, I don't wanna kill people, but apparently I have to because I'm a vampire now" whining. I've never complained about Elena before, but recently she started to annoy me.

And I love the Tyler/Caroline/Klaus/Haley storyline. (Maybe that's just because I love Klaus, I can't help it xD)

Oh, and I'm happy that they made the whole Elena/Damon/Stefan thing believable. At least to me. I'm excited to see how that will turn out, although I can't really tell whit whom I want her to end up with. Characterwise I think her and Stefan are the better match, but I always love the scenes with Damon. So hot and full of sparks and everything xD

    ReplyDelete
  36. ..this episode was a little bit sad because stefan admits he loves elena very hard but he cant protect her when he thinks a good way to save her he screw everything,.damon is more methodical and sometimes he screw things to he dont allow his love for elena put her in danger is two sides of the same spectrum (TWO BROTHER DIFFERENT VIEWS)..SAME PURPOSE the difference is how they take action to resolve the problem i am sorry about the choice to kill a helping hybrid to save ELENA but now jeremy had the advantage to chose what vampire had to die to embrace his potential and find a cure without outside bad interference

    ReplyDelete
  37. Good point there in NO2. And, to throw another opinion into this, I kind of feel like this "cure" plot is just a way to play with a characters a bit. You know, what would they do, how would they use it, what could possibly happen when they find it. I think that cure rises a whole lot of theoretical questions about its use and possible roads that could be taken.

Just remember the Moonstone curse, it did sound good at the beginning, right? We all know how that turned out. So I don't really believe there is an actual cure, just a plot device. Or, well, as you said, that cure might be a weapon to kill them, considering the road to that "cure" is a tattoo on the bodies of The Five and I don't really think that witches would want to make a cure for vampirism if they consider vampires an abomination. If The Five are some kind of vampire-killing machines, it would only makes sense if this tattoo map only led to a weapon.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Loved the Caroline/Klaus moments and hope to get a lot more of them soon.

DAMN YOU GUYS FOR MAKING US WAIT 2 WKS FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!! I GOTTA WATCH THE LAST TEN MINUTES AGAIN, AND GET MYSELF TOGETHER SO I CAN MAKE A THOROUGH COMMENT..AWWW IT'S BEAUTIFUL, IT'S HAPPENING.......BLISS, TOTAL BLISS.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Damon, Caroline and Stefan got an innocent hybrid (Chris) to help them against Klaus, and then betrayed him by having Jeremy kill him in order to trigger the vampire hunter legacy. This show has really crossed the line of morality. It must have really sucked for Chris to spend months breaking Klaus' sire, only to be sacrificed by a bunch of vampires trying to save their precious Elena, who was the very reason he was a hybrid in the first place! Clearly, Damon and Stefan would wipe out a small third world country, if it meant making Elena happy. But I didn't expect this of Caroline, who she saw nothing wrong with killing Tyler's friend. I hope she enjoys her date with Klaus, because if I were Tyler, I would dump her and never look back. But Yay! Delena! (sarcasm)

    ReplyDelete
  41. If you don't mind another episode where the writers sacrifice yet another black guest character for Elena's continued angst-free survival, then I guess it was a good episode. It kind of made me sick.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Klaus/Caroline is disgusting. Did so many people forget already that for the better part of this entire series, he's been the biggest villain out there?

Anyway, I don't care about the triangle angst and all that, but I do look forward to learning more about Shane's deal and Silas. On that front, it was a modestly entertaining episode.

    ReplyDelete
  43. it was about time those two got together

    ReplyDelete
  44. Damon and Elena
    Klaus and Caroline
Someone unstake Rebekah and everything will be perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I know a lot of the fans like this aspect of the show but for me it's really boring and annoying how Elena is basically toying with both of them, she needs to pick one and just stick with it atleast until next season, I don't really care who, just hope it doesn't make Damon go soft. Season 1 Damon and beginning of Season 3 Stefan were the best.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Not one of my favorite episodes. Still not on board with the premise, hunters hound you after death. But, it was really a vehicle to force Jeremy to become a hunter. I knew they were going to be turning some vampires into fodder for Jeremy to kill, and given that there are no "evil" vampires in town town now he had to kill someone. But for Stefan and Caroline to grab one of their few ALLIES to kill...was distasteful. They don't have very many allies...ESPECIALLY against Klaus...so why pick him? They had the two little red shits who were guarding the door. Why not use one of them? Either of whom Klaus cold have siad..."attack him" to and they would have. None of it really worked for me.

I liked the sequence at the end with Elena and the brothers. Loved that Damon told Elena what was going on and told her what Stefan was keeping from her. I'm betting a LOT of posts on this board will be about those scenes. :-) But, not enough Caroline and Tyler for my tastes.

I had the feeling that the buried immortal legend has a lot to do with why the professor is teaching Bonnie, yet another, lesson in trusting strangers too easily.

    ReplyDelete
  47. What would they do? Well I think that Stefan, Caroline and Ty would take it. Damon probably not. He has too much fun. Elena? Sure she would. But as I said, I'd rather be a vampire, even if I hate it, as long as I'm free. But Elena is too stupid to get it. She was all thrilled when Damon told her. Does she really believe that Klaus is letting her go when she becomes human again? That he would let her go to do what she wants? He would probably lock her in a cell.

Moonstone? Good point. Klaus made it up, so everyone would be looking for it (witches, vampires, werewolves). I still believe that it's a weapon to kill them, not to cure them. As I said: heal them by killing them. But why would the hunters made up a cure? In the hopes that some vampires would look for it and make it easier for the hunters to find it? Aren’t they afraid that some vampires would try to destroy it to stay immortal (Vampires like Klaus; He would only give it to Elena and then destroy it)? Even if they want to destroy it, they had to find it first. So it could be a plot. All vamps would look for it. Either to use it or to destroy it. The same principle Klaus used on the Moonstone.

And I agree that the witches want to kill all vampires. Like Esther. So why a cure? Doesn't make any sense.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I didn't forget about Klaus. And I keep reminding everyone that Caroline being with him
is betrayal to her friends. There is probably not one person in MF not suffering under Klaus actions.

    ReplyDelete
  49. They don't have to turn anyone so they have vampires for Jeremy to kill. There are plenty
of them. You just have to know where to look.
Well, as you said it, there are no "evil" vamps in MF. And yes, that hybrid was an ally. But Klaus was just too happy so sacrifice him (for his precious doppelganger) since he was no longer loyal to him. But he won't let Jeremy kill more hybrids.
O.K., let's talk Ty and Caroline. She really shouldn't let that hybrid get killed. There are
other vamps. And I understand that Ty is p.o. She didn't know that hybrid, but he was Tys friend and she didn't even pretend to care that he died. And she agrees to go on a date with Klaus? What is that? I think that Caroline and Ty are responsible for their relationship problems, not the hot she-wolf sleeping at Tylers house. They're a great couple. And they both changed for the better since they turned.
I notice that you're not the only one to believe that there is more to this Silas legend. But I didn't heard anything that makes me feel like he (or it) is evil. He used one woman to get immortality to share it with another. Reminds me on Jeremy in S1. And he is not evil. There is probably more, the prof just didn't said it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. She's not toying with both of them. If she would, she would be sleeping with both of them. Is she? No! She is having a hard time because she feels so close to Damon while she wants to be happy with Stefan.
Although I like this Damon more (because he is still the same as S1, just without the killing), I do love ripper Stefan. The bunny-diet Stefan is boring.

    ReplyDelete
  51. this was a pretty good episode of buffy the vampire slayer.. I mean TVD

    ReplyDelete
  52. Well, they did announce that there would be more to Klaus and Caroline, so that is not
surprising. Except the date thing. I thought that he would just show up and sweet
    talk her.
Stefan broke up. Hope, he won't give her a hard time if she hooks up with Damon. I mean he broke up. That is like an permission.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I miss Rebekah too

    ReplyDelete
  54. I absolutely agree with you.
I mean what the f**k? Poor Chris. There are enough vampires for Jeremy to kill.
I understand that Ty is p.o., but I don't want them to break up. Especially not, if it means
that Caroline hooks up with Klaus. But I hope that Tyler gives her a hard time so she can think about that.
"I hope she enjoys her date with Klaus" Agree. You did meant it sarcastic, did you?
"But Yay! Delena! (sarcasm)" So, guess you're not a delena fan? I am. But you got to agree that it was time to give them a try. If it comforts you, I think that before the season ends she'll be back with Stefan. Or at least undecided.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I don't want there to be more to Klaus and Caroline. I want that psycho gone for good!!!!

Permission? We'll see if he'll give her a hard time. I hope not!

    ReplyDelete
  56. You gave me an idea. What if Silas (AKA the professor)did the same Klaus did? Spread the word about the cure, and the weapon to the hunters. BUT, in fact the map on the hunter's body lead to the cure for HIM, Silas? And that's why he wants Bonnie to go to him once the map is complete? I think the witch used the hunter's, she traded with them, you get power to fight the vampires, and i use you to hide the powers from Silas. Better yet, the witch who did it was a Bennet, and only a Bennet can bring his powers back (see last season and Ester). And the woman Silas gave the immortality for was... Ester!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'm going to go out on an unpopular limb here regarding hybrid killing. Once Klaus learned that they'd gotten Elena out with Chris' help and that Chris had broken the sire bond, Chris was dead already. He only served the purpose of doing what Klaus wanted. No matter how long or far he ran, he was dead. Klaus just let Jeremy do the killing for him. Because he also has a vested interest in Jer finishing his hunter's mark.

I know they are trying to make the hybrids more sympathetic, but the show needs cannon fodder and they are foot soldiers death magnets. It's not like all of the monsters are good or even without being sired we are sure that Chris isn't out killing people, every other hybrid we've met has been a jerk, but then again so are most of the werewolves they started out as.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Don't worry, I was definitely being sarcastic about the Klaus date! I actually don't mind Elena dating Damon. I'm somewhat neutral in the Delena vs. Stelena ship wars, and for Stefan's sake, it might be better if he found someone else. I'm just not a big fan of the love triangle being a central theme of every single discussion. The Chris incident was so disturbing, IMO, that it was the main thing I remembered about this episode. It was kind of surreal to see everyone celebrating over the prospect of a "Delena" reunion or a "Klaroline" date, instead of the fact that four of the shows' main characters decided to go all "Lord of the Flies" on an innocent person.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I am not sure Caroline would take it, she holds control quite easily and she doesn't feel as insecure as when she was human. Caroline wants to see the world, feel special... I guess she misses some benefits of being human and is scared of living forever when their friends (not a lot right now, though) will get old and die but vampirism has worked for her like a therapy, I really doubt she would go back willingly to her neurotic personality.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yes! About 3 hours ago I commented to Nicol that it's absolutely possible that there is no cure. The hunters hate vampires. So to them curing them probably means killing them (like they used to burn witches to purify them). And that they probably told legends about a cure so that all vampires would look for it. Either to use it and cure themselves, or to destroy it so they stay immortal. As you said, the same principle Klaus used on the Moonstone. He made up a legend so all vampires, wolves and witches were looking for it.

But what makes you think that our professor is Silas? Except for his knowledge. Knowledge that not even our dear Klaus had (and he's around for 1000 years or more).

"I think the witch used the hunter's, she traded with them, you get power to fight the vampires, and i use you to hide the powers from Silas" Knowing the witches better by now it's absolutely possible. And I too believe that it was a Bennett that created The Five.

But it had nothing to do with Esther. I mean he said that Silas legend was something about the fist tombstone. And Esther wasn't that old. If this about Silas, the woman he wanted to share his immortality with was probably dead for millennia before Esther was born.

  61. Do you remember Damon in Season one and Stefan the ripper?? But apparently in this series you are only a villain if you go against sweet Elena, something that has bring up Tyler in this episode. I love Klaus and Damon and even Stefan but in TVD nobody is a saint (not even Elena anymore) and they forgive quite easily, so I don't see Klaus having a romantic interest or whatever worse than Damon or Stefan's, not less credible by TVD standards, either.

  62. I agree that no one actually paid any attention to the hybrid that got killed because he crossed Klaus. And yes, this was one of the reasons Klaus "sacrificed" him. He made an example: Try to cross me (by breaking the bond) and you'll end like him. Prove? He could find or create a vampire for Jeremy to kill.

But don’t blame the delena fans for celebrating. We've been waiting for years for them to come together.

  63. I really liked this episode. Some comments:

1- Delena: I loved that Stefan and Elena broke up and I am a Elena fan but I hope that Elena doesn't go running to Damon the next episode. Show some class, girl. Delena fans have been waiting for this for three seasons and six episodes, it is not time to rush.

2- Gang's moral: I appreciate that for the first time the show has cover briefly the amibiguous moral of the main gang. Everyone has to sacrifice their lives for Elena and the gang, even sweet Caroline and rightful Bonnie, can decide without blinking that someone has to be killed to preserve Elena's life. It is normal that Tyler can't be ok with how one of his friends were killed for Elena's sake and the implication of her girlfriend in the plan. Is it the firts time (after her first kill) when Caroline doesn't show compassion for the life of someone innocent? Maybe they are slowing showing us that Vampire Caroline is a vampire after all.

3- SILLAS: Is this the new great evil that is worse than Klaus? They could put a little bit of imagination here because someone who loved but became immortal, eternal and lonely is too similar to the villain we already had in Season 3 (Klaus, obviously). Talking about Klaus, I liked how the interest of Klaus and the Salvatores are in the same page in some episodes, it is a great way to keep Klaus around without him being the villain of the season and without loosing his evilness. The quote from some episodes ago: "I am as evil as you can get" was priceless.

  64. Yes, being turned was like therapy for her. She and Ty both changed for the better since they became members of the supernatural group of MF. And she does have fun with her powers, puts them to a good use. But she was just so down on her birthday. So depressed that she'll never truly be 18 and won't grow up. And worried about her parents (they both hated vampires till their daughter became one) and how they will or could accept her … I figured that she would take it. She wouldn't fall back into her old patterns. She knows by know how strong she can be. And that she doesn't need to be the most popular girl with the coolest boyfriend to actually be someone …

But I think I was wrong with Tyler. He wouldn't take it. If he would, he would be werewolf again and turn on every full moon.

  65. I loved every single scene including Elena and that is unusual for me to say (still, I think Nina is a remarkable actress, which she once again reminded us). And I really enjoyed Klaus - Caroline moments.
Ok, let's be honest, I'm fangirling like crazy right now over Damon and Elena.

  66. You're absolutely right about Klaus and his being more than willing to use Chris as Cannon Fodder. And Klaus will be merrily tossing Vampire Cannon fodder at Jeremy because he wants the complete tattoo. My problem was Caroline, Jeremy, and Stefan...going along with an ally as being the cannon fodder without protest. These are, theoretically, the heros of the show. Also, they are fighting Klaus (whom they all are fully aware will turn on them the moment their goals diverge) and they need allies...like Tyler.

Those are the character motivations that made that move feel wrong to me.

  67. RE: Ty and Caroline. My favorite moment last week was when "hot she-wolf" said she doesn't too teen angst. She has made it clear that she's not a romantic rival for Caroline. But I keep worrying that the writers are going to pull out 'hot mess Caroline' to try and generate some teen angst. As to why Caroline agreed to go out with Klaus she said it...she's trying to sell the scenario that Tyler put in place with he let Klaus believe there was something between him and "hot she-wolf." Only she explained that to Tyler while he was a bit drunk and upset about Chris' death.

Klaus using Jeremy to kill Chris I had no problem with at all. It was the callousness of Caroline, Stefan and Jeremy I had issues with. It was out of character for them in many ways. Yes, Stefan would toss almost anyone under the bus to protect Elena, but this was just out of character for me.

RE: Silas....I'm not thinking there's more to Silas because I'm assuming he's evil. It's more the way his backstory was presented. It was like getting the info in class and knowing there'll be a test later. It's the teacher dude I think is evil. He's misrepresenting himself, lying and senting hunters after our good guys. He's a villain and Silas has something to do with his plan. :-)

  68. Well, Stefan isn't fighting Klaus (and he's made very little fuss in the past about killing hybrids). Jeremy is in a plot grey area--half the time he wants to befriend vamps and half the time he thinks monsters need to die (Elena not withstanding) depending on whatever 5 seconds of plot the writers need him for. And it is possible that Klaus is compelling him again Or he had no idea that the hybrid had "helped" them in the past. But I think he'd kill pretty much anybody or thing he needed to to save Elena. And I feel like Caroline is just behind the "all Klaus' hybrids need to die, oh wait now some of them are okay" times. Plus, I think she's a bit unhappy with Tyler's new found kinship with wolves and hybrids in preference to his friends.

  69. I like that theory. It would definitely explain the professor's interest. Bonnie really needs another Grams intervention, to shed some light on the professor's true intentions. She's way too trusting and should have asked more questions, when the professor told her that Jeremy would need him.

  70. As Candice said in an interview, Caroline is young and happy with her boyfriend. Now this other hot girl shows up he has a history with … Of course she is worried that there could be something between Ty and Hayley. Especially now. The writers have now the opportunity to mess with the couples. We already know that Ty goes to the feast with Heyley, and as it seems Caroline is going with Klaus (from the pictures). Or, more likely he'll just show up and take advantage that Caroline is alone and her boyfriend is with another wolf.

I believe that Damon would too "toss almost anyone under the bus to protect Elena". So, when it comes to Chris (RIP) I'm more concerned about Caroline. It definitely caused damage to her relationship with Ty. And especially after it was her in S3 that told Elena that Bonnie was angry cauce Damon turned (killed) her mother to protect Elena and that although Bonnie loves her, she always gets hurt.

"Teacher dude"? LOL But yes, he definitely has his own plans. He send Connor to MF. And it's probably just the beginning. There could be more to Silas. Cause if you think back, if they gave us information like this, sooner or later it came back in one form or another. In this case, we could be dealing with him later. Or it could give us a possibility to get (finally!!!) rid of Klaus.

  71. I disagree. I don't care about 'sweet Elena', the whole damsel in eternal distress made her uninteresting a long time ago and yeah Damon and Stefan screwed her over on a number of occasions. But Klaus killed Jenna, terrorised the whole town for episodes on end and so on. I'd have to rewatch or read up on the whole storyline but the way I remember it, you can't even REMOTELY put Klaus and Stefan/Damon in the same category of evil.

  72. I think that Elena is quite an inconstant person. Maybe Stefan & Damon should look for another girlfriend able to keep her opinion for more than one chapter. She is beginning to appear weak.

  73. I have a similar theory actually. I'm thinking it's a map to either Silas's badass warlock powers(contained in the sword maybe?) or Silas's true body. I agree that Silas is probably Klaus's daddy. I mean that immortality spell was probably what she learned from Silas. But probably wasn't strong enough to do it the right way. Silas is probably a some werewolf warlock immortal harder to kill than Alaric(possibly impossible without a spell) Reason why I think you're right is that Shane gets a little excited when he hears Conner was taken by an original who Shane right away asks if it was Klaus and then quickly tones it down with "oh yeah I've only heard about him through reputation"

There is a lot of ways Silas could be the "cure".

  74. No one paid attention because he wasn't really a main person. I mean don't get me wrong I think their morality there was pretty messed up but I think Klaus probably had something to do with it( "If you don't come kill this disobedient hybrid I'm going to kill everyone you give a shit about" type deals) Anyway, what I mean is... Jeremy killing someone we've had no time to get to know besides "he's broken the sire bond to get away from evil Klaus" is not really going to make people go crazy. Now if Jeremy ends up killing Tyler or Caroline for example, people will actually make a fuss.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Sure, he wasn't a main person. But I liked him. Well yeah, we didn't know him. But he was a victim of Klaus (which made me feel sorry for him). And he had the courage to fight him and the straight to break the sire bond (breaking all bones in your body a hundred times? Ouch!). That tells us something about his character. And he helped Stefan – he didn’t have to.
Yes, their morality values were pretty messed up.

No, I don't think that Klaus made them kill Chris. He would have turned someone for Jeremy to kill to protect his precious doppelganger, if he had to. It was just a good opportunity. He protected Elena (his walking blood bag – IF he manages to cure her) and he delivered a massage to the others (this is what happens if you try to walk away or cross me). That it was Jeremy who actually killed him didn't mean anything – Klaus gave the permission.

If it's true what JP told in an interview, and the mark is making the hunters kill, poor Jeremy will be having a hard time to fight the urge to NOT kill his sister and his friends. Besides Matt, does he even have friends not being vampires or hybrids? Or witches (but he is not a witch hunter, so Bonnies doesn't count)?
