  2. Awesome episode. It felt a little slow at the beginning but all the mythology expansions made it really worth it, Also, it feels pretty clear they're leading to Elena turning off her humanity and Delena becoming truth, I'm guessing it'll either happen at episodes 6, 7 or the midseason. I don't think it'll take long, we know how The Vampire Diaries moves the plot at great velocity. Lastly: the cure won't work. Not at season 4. Not in the near future. Maybe at endgame but there's still a long road till we get there. There simply isn't "The Vampire Diaries" without the Vampire part (we already the lack the Diaries part haha). But love it! Also curious about Shane and Connor being a team.

  3. Where to start... I guess I will start with Elena going with Bonnie and Damon to college. Ok I am so tired of her feeling guilty about being a vampire, that is your life now deal with it. Yes you more than likely will become a ripper but hey it comes with being a vampire. Also I am sick of her trying to fight her real feelings for Damon. He makes her feel a way that Stefan can't. Also this professor guy who invited Bonnie I so do not trust him and Bonnie should learn from her past mistakes and not trust him either. I am tired of Rebekah and her trying to get Matt to forgive her. Just compel him already. Also you know what I am not sure what Matt's role really is in this show anyway I mean he is the only human left and he does not quite fit in the show anymore. Now onto Klaus who I am started to love. He is one of those characters that you try to hate but then you start to love him. I am so glad he knows about "the five". I am just trying to figure out what he will get Stefan to do it to try and "save" Elena. I know for a fact Klaus will want to stay a vampire and not be cured. So get ready for him to try and destroy this cure. Connor the vampire hunter, I have a feeling that he really has no clue what he truly is or what he is doing, I think he is someone's puppet and his strings are getting pulled(the end of the episode). All in all a good episode. Am excited to see how the season plays out. Sorry for the long post but I just had to get it all out. :)

  4. IMO, they are making Elena so annoying, it is hard to enjoy the show....no one is that "perfect".... it just irritates me!!

  5. While I was a Delena fan, Elena pisses me off so much with her self-righteousness that she can be with Stefan. The only person I feel sorry for is Rebekah =( poor girl is just trying to help and she gets stabbed in the back (or heart) by both her brother and Stefan. They can both go to hell!

  6. Boring and ridiculous

  7. My favorite relationship on this show will always be the one between Stefan and Damon... especially now that all Elena does is drive me crazy haha

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't know that poor Matt has ever fit in... I wish they'd give him something important to do.

    ReplyDelete
  9. What Klaus gets from the cure? Easy. With Elena human he can make more hybrids with her blood ;)

    ReplyDelete
  10. I wonder why they dropped the diary aspect? They started the episodes at the beginning with Elena writing in her diary... and I think Stefan did every now and then as well. Maybe fans thought it was a little too cheesy?

    ReplyDelete
  11. The diaries were definitely cheesy! Also waste of screen time and this show doesn't really do voice overs (just in the beginning) like other shows (e.g. One Tree Hill) did.

  12. I enjoyed the episode! Except why not have Stefan and Elena do stuff together... unless she pushed him we aren't going to see exciting Stefan! We already know Damon's character, why can't we see both Elena and Stefan struggling together? Also where was Caroline =(. I liked the Klaus and Rebekah scenes though I think Klaus is still a douche and can never be happy with his family and just wants attention. It was sad how they were both crying when he daggered her... even Stefan was getting teary! Intriguing how the only way to find the cure is to have Connor kill more vamps.

  13. I'm really enjoying the resurrection of the Klaus/Stefan dynamic. I've always been intrigued by their relationship, and I like seeing how Stefan stretches and bends his "code" when he works with him. And I stand by my opinion that Elena experimenting with her control is a good idea, so long as someone's there to keep her in check. She's learning every little step of the way.

Poor Rebekah tonight. There was significantly more stabbage than usual haha... it continues to amaze me that she keeps going back to Klaus each and every time. I get that they're family, and that they've been alive for centuries, but how many times does he have to betray you/stab you/poke at your most horrible memories before you realize he's bad for you?

  14. The witch that created the five was probably a Bennett. Would make sense. And it would explain her knowledge. The witch that helped Esther was also a Bennett.
I SO have a thing for guys with tattoos. But I wonder, how Becca could see the tattoo. Maybe,
    cause it was complete?
So Elena finally gets some fun with her vampire powers. Nice. I hoped she would be training with Stefan. The party was awesome. Till Bonnie came along. I liked Elenas pick. Guys drugging girls to rape them? I would kill them too. Too bad she didn't. If Elenas choice is to be like Damon or be like Stefan, I wouldn choose Damon. He can be an ass. But he is under control. Stefan … He either starves (with animal blood that Elena can't keep down) or he rips people apart (he even loses control with blood bags, which Elena also can't keep down).
"She'sm being stubborn and hateful" maybe it's the way you treaded her, smartass. And no, you can't take family for granted. And again: You can't expect them all to love and worship you if you act like you do.
"Is it so hard to believe I would have one?" Sure. Becca spend too much time with Klaus. She lost touch with reality. She never had friends. Just slaves, like Klaus. I think, since her mortal days she didn't have any friends. Slaves, lovers, food, yes. But no friends. Should I feel sorry for her? Klaus daggered her again, hiding her … I know I should. And a part of me does. But on the other side … The good thing: She will probably never again go back to him. The bad
thing: She trusted Stefan and he betrayed her. Like Elena, like Damon. Like Alexander. O.K., I do feel sorry for her.
I wonder why Matt is keeping the truck. I mean sure, he needs one. And he can always sale this one and buy a used one if he needs money. Unless the bitch runs him in the river with this truck too.
"That vampire just threatened to kill you" well, honey, after 2 years (one of them with Klaus) Jeremy is used to threats. A day without is boring.
A cure? Could there be a cure? Well, Esther mentioned something about making them mortal
before she kills them. But Alex said something about a weapon. So, what is it? Weapon or cure? Could be both in one, if the cure works on the originals like killing them (I mean kill-kill). Cure an original and he becomes human again. And everyone form their bloodline.
What the fuck Stefan? Elena hates being a vampire, I got that. You want to help, I even got that. But giving her the cure (if it exists) knowing what Klaus will do to her. Using her again and again to get her blood and killing everyone she cares about if she doesn't cooperate. And, of course, using her as a breeding sow to get another doppelganger ASAP. And in 400-500 years, when the next doppelganger is born, he'll do it to that poor girl all over again. If I'd be Elena I rather be a vampire even if I hate it (suck it up), than allowing Klaus to do to me again
what he did. And to my children. Because he sure as hell wouldn't let any member of the line out of his side again. They would all be his prisoners.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes, I liked part of the Klaus/Stefan dynamics too. As long as it wasn't destroying Stefan.
Which it does. Like today. 5 minutes with Klaus and Stefan is cold as ice, not caring about anything and manipulating even if he doesn't need to.
I just don't understand how Stefan can declare his love for Elena and telling everyone that he wants to help and protect her, when he is constantly hurting her and letting her down. After he got free form Klaus he left her (just one sample. And no, I'm not letting it go). And now he is working with Klaus again. Probably behind her back. He thinks he is helping her, because she doesn't want to be a vampire. Who does? She'll adjust and get used to it. Like everyone else turned against their will. But making her human again and letting Klaus have her, using her, hurting her? I'd rather see her as vampire (unhappy for now, but she'll get better). Stefan is not able to take care of her. Damon should take her and leave town for good. And I really have my doubts that Klaus will let Elena alone if she becomes human again. He'll probably kill everyone she cares about and compel her to not run away.
Yeah, Becca was willing to cooperate with Klaus. Because Stefan told her, he'll help her
with Matt and Elena. And that he'll forgive her. But I doubt that she'll ever really go back to him. He daggered her. Again. And he just wanted information. No, I think they're done. Unless she has some sort of Stockholm syndrome. After 1000 years it's possible. Don't tell anyone. But I start feeling sorry for her too. I did at the beginning. Then I hated her. Now I fill sorry for her again.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't think she'll turn off her humanity.
For now she didn't kill anyone. And she has Jeremy and her friends to keep her in line.
Delena? Hell yes, it would be hot. But Damon wouldn't let her turn off her humanity any more than Stefan or Jeremy. He loves Elena with all her compassion, passion, her caring for everyone … He wouldn't love her any other way. If he wants a cold bitch that cares just for herself, he can take Katerina.

    ReplyDelete
  17. "I am so tired of her feeling guilty about being a vampire, that is your life now deal with it." I so support you on that. She had the choice, didn't she? No one forced her to drink and complete the transformation. She has to adjust. Like after her parents died. After she
found out about Stefan and Damon. After Jenna died.
What makes you think she'll become a ripper? She didn't kill anybody, did she? And she
stopped when Damon told her to. He didn't have to drag her away. Or heal the guy. She is young and she has some problems controlling herself. Caroline killed. And she is not a ripper.
But I do wonder why Elena can't keep animal blood or blood bags down. Could it really be the doppelganger thing?
Well, you're right not to trust the prof. He seems to be one of the hunters too. Or he is just helping them. He doesn't seem so much of a fighter.
Yeah, Klaus reminds me on Garry Oldman. He was always (mostly) playing a bad guy and a psychopath. And I just loved him. Never could hate him. Doesn't mean I don't
want Klaus gone for good. He's bad news.
What Klaus is gonna do? Let me tell you. He's gonna kill. Again and again, till he has all
hunters and the map. If Jeremy won't cooperate, he'll kill more. And after he has the cure (if it exists), he'll force Elena to take it. As soon as she is a human, he'll kill everyone she cares about (so that no one will take her form him again). Then he'll compel her to not run away from him. He'll use her to make more hybrids. Then he'll compel a guy to impregnate Elena so the line doesn't end with her if she dies again. Then he'll probably destroy the cure. Or maybe keep some, if the next doppelganger turns, like Katerina did.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I don't understand why she is with Stefan either. I mean now many times he let her down?
And now he is working with Klaus? To help Elena? How? By making her human again so she can go thru the same hell Klaus puts her in, again?
    She's better off with Damon.
Yeah, I began to feel sorry for Becca too. Every person she trusts is betraying her and stabbing her in the back.
Klaus, Elena, Damon, Stefan, Alex, …

  19. I agree. This whole Delena vs Stelena is getting annoying.
Let's face it: Till the last ep. of the last season she won't make up her mind (and stay with the brother she chooses).

    ReplyDelete
  20. Then don't watch it!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Elena is so dull, and the Elena/Stefan/Damon love triangle is contrived and boring. She's never going to really choose one of then until the series finale, the other will probably end up dying for her in the end also.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Your comment makes no sense.

    ReplyDelete
  23. "Boring and ridiculous"

If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I have to watch the episode first. I'm not psychic.

    ReplyDelete
  25. it was a good episode, but waaaay to hyped up
had there not been so much talk about a "big" Delena scene i would have probably liked it a lot more

    ReplyDelete
  26. I was very disappointed. I expected an epic Delena episode. That didn't happen. Elena pisses me off with her indecisiveness. Stop playing with Damon girl!!! And Stefan is even more awful now, what he did to Rebekah... From Klaus I expect that, but this was just so sad...

    ReplyDelete
  27. My 2 favorite shows are Supernatural and TVD and I judge them against each other and this week SPN wins big. I was not happy with Stefan working Klaus...again. Elena is getting so whiny it is hard to watch...please bring back Katherine. Have never liked Bonnie. Am enjoying the hunter and love the connection with the teacher. Something to look forward to.

LOVED seeing Elijah, want him back in real time, he is my favorite original.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I felt bad for Rebekah!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. then write something constructive instead of three words that doesn't contribute to the comments. Explain why you didn't like the episode, then people maybe will take you seriously. Now you are taken for some douche that just want to provoke the peeps in here.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey, here is a thought... Klaus can ACTUALLY leave Elena alone with Stephan. All he has to do is "cure" Katherine.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Wrong, I think he thought it was boring and ridiculous. Thought that explained it pretty well.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't like where this season is going! Finding a cure for Elena, so that she can go back to being a bloodbag for Klaus and yet again a doppelganger surrounded by evil not being able to win a fight?

In this episode Elena was an annoying little girl, with a short pause when she was actually enjoying herself, but of course Bonnie and her "i don´t approve of this"-face made Elena to feel bad for herself all over again... I feel sorry for Damon, who is really trying to help her by teaching her how to control her urges and not kill anyone, but apparently only ripper Stefan can keep her on the right track... *blegh*

    ReplyDelete
  33. I like Elena as a vampire. She's more playful and has a bit of a vengeful streak, which makes her interesting. Her guilt and remorse doesn't bother me...if she didn't feel that way, it would be weird. Most of this episode centered around Bonnie's visit to Gram's campus, but we still didn't get many scenes about Bonnie, which is kind of annoying. I hope that chanes in future episodes (but somehow I doubt it). Also, I really liked the idea of Jeremy being one of the five; I'm hoping that they make it into a bigger story ark.

At this point, I could care less who Elena ends up with. There are way too many potentially good side stories to waste so much screentime on this love triangle. In some ways, I wish Stefan could be single so that his storyline didn't have to revolve so much around Elena (it's a waste of the actor's talent, IMO). Similarly, I wish Damon would stop pining over Elena, because his paternalistic attitude towards her is a bit of a turnoff....and frankly a bit creepy.

I really like Stefan, but helping Elena become human so that Klaus can ultimately use her blood to create a hybrid army is probably one of the stupidest things he's ever done. Elena becoming a vampire was probably one of the best things that could happen to Mystic Falls and now Stefan wants to undo that.

Lastly....why can't we have more scenes with Elijah????

    ReplyDelete
  34. I am quite curious about the relationship between Klaus and Rebekah. It was very touching the scene where Klaus stabs her while they are both crying. I love that the writers didn't turn Klaus in a good guy to benefit his and Caroline's plot. He is a very interesting Big Bad Wolf. My favorite character in TVD. I would like to see some flashback where we can appreciate the banter between ALL the original brothers, including Kol and Finn.

We are going back to the "switch off humanity thing" with Elena. That made me think... Is Klaus humanity off completely? I mean he is quite brutal and Evil but he does not seem so unfeeling. The series approached once the possibility that this "switch" was just a myth that the vampire use to cope with their identity... right??

I think that in future episodes Elena will switch off her humanity and then it will be Damon who gets her back in track. That would be intersting, at least, to reanimate the love triangle... I mean, we have watched that scene between Elena and Damon in the porch too many times.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I personally doubt he'd do that because Katherine killed herself to become a vampire, Elena was killed. Katherine would kill herself again, I don't think Elena would. Katherine takes pleasure in being a vampire, Elena does not. With Katherine, he really has no leverage against her, with Elena he can threaten her family/friends, with Katherine, she cares about only herself (she may secretly still love Stefan and even Damon too, but she will always look out for herself first and I do believe she'd let Klaus kill them to save herself) All in all Klaus could leave Elena alone and cure Katherine, but I don't think he will. Elena is just the better option.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wanna know the funny thing? That is exactly what I was thinking. Help Klaus find the cure and let him have Katerina.
He still shouldn't be done with her (messing with his plans by turning – something tells me that Klaus is not one of the forgiven and forgotten type). She can be his walking blood bag and breeding sow (read my comment to Danielle Thomas and my original comment).

But then I thought: Klaus is not stupid. Why satisfy himself with one doppelganger if he can have two? Two doppelgangers mean double supply of blood and two breeding sows. Consider it as his back-up plan. You remember how much he likes those (the ritual).

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yeah, but he could compel Katerina.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It's these episodes that drive me crazy. Lots of cool crazy and then you stab Rebekah and stick her in cold-storage. They yank one of their more fun characters off the game board and put her in a box. Sigh. Klaus has become boring to me. He's firmly in box, for me, in the sense that whatever plan he comes up with I know he'll never goes as far as he threatens to go so I no longer invest in his antics. ( I knew he wasn't going to hurt Jeremy so...eh to that whole threat bit.) But Rebekah just goes for it...she's spontaneous, for example yanking off Elena's day time ring...Elena had to squirm to save her self. MUCH more interesting than Klaus.

Beyond that...There was a lot of great story stuff. I like this new hunter (and it doesn't hurt that he is totally drool worthy with his shirt off.) I'm enjoying seeing more of Matt. It's looking like the teacher may be the source of Bonnie's story....which I really hope is actually a story and not just set up so she can play deux ex machina at the end of the season. I kinda like that Jeremy's loyalty to the Salvatore's, Caroline, and Elena remains in place even as he is destined to be this hunter creature. Could be interesting.

But...the vampire hunter's holy grail is a cure to vampirism? It kind of makes sense given that the witch that created them was the Elijah et al's mother's best friend so I can believe that she would want to save rather than destroy them. Also, if it was believed that they couldn't be killed then de-vamping them would be a potential solution to getting rid of the Originals. But the assumption that making the Originals human would get rid of all vampires...seems a little dubious to me. As a Stefan and Klaus carrot ...it makes sense. I think my problem is that it seems too much like a _reset mechanism_ for the end of the season and that's not as interesting to me.

Now, please, wake Rebekah up and put her in therapy. The best way for her to deal with Klaus is to change her own behavior toward and reaction to Kalus. I love the character but I'm really ready for her to stop being Klaus' abused child.

I still give the ep an Awesome though. All the good stuff outweighed the questionable.

    ReplyDelete
  39. In all honesty...I think Elena just needs to take up with both of them. Damon makes her feel the way Stefan doesn't but Stefan does the same. I honestly think that the emotionally healthy, successful relationship (from Elena's POV) is with both of them. I realize that neither brother could deal with her being with both of them. :-D

I think Rebekah had it right. Klaus doesn't want to be human (he's too much of a bully) what he wants is Elena human so he can make minions whenever he wants.

Not sure if Matt really has a purpose - other than being the only human in the regular cast (which I think the show does need) - but I do think the character is beginning to settle out of the whiny 'why am I alive' mode. I had thought they were setting him up as the person to help Rebekah grow up...then they stuck her in a box.

Never apologize for long posts at SpoilerTV. It's what some of us come here for. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes, he can compel her, he's done it before, but I still doubt he would. Why would he go searching high and low and waste time trying to find Katherine, when he has Elena right in front in him? I don't think he would. Again I say Elena is just the easier option and he'd want his hybrids asap and Elena is the fastest way of getting them.

    ReplyDelete
  41. To you too: exactly my thinking. Elena is just in front of him. He knows exactly where she is and how to manipulate her.

But as I said: why satisfy himself with one doppelganger if he can have two?
And I also said that he would probably kill all of Elenas friends to prevent them from taking her from him again. So he would have to compel both.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think it's a given. They wouldn't be talking about it so much if it wasn't supposed to happen someday. It's not gonna be forever, but she'll turn off her humanity and the rules of the game will change. Maybe it'll be Damon who brings her back or something, but we all know from interviews with Julie Plec that Stelena is only gonna last for a while. So...

    ReplyDelete
  43. If she'll turn it off, it won't be for long. 2 eps. Maybe 3.

They said something about her stabilizing about midseason. Should be ep 11 or 12. Till then it's open.
