  1. LOL forever at the fact that Billy was a mouse. But poor him, though. And Charming should have killed that fucking bastard George, although I understand why he didn't.

I also love Charming and Ruby's friendship! It's sweet.

    This was a great episode.

  2. Dude! Sparks between Charming and Red?! P

  3. Not good but not bad.
    OK
    I liked Charming' scenes

  4. I loved it, both SLs!
So Snow once had the same dreams right?

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm gonna kill myself if the fandom begin to say Charming and Red have romantic feelings..........................

  6. Was an excellent episode!
ruby had snow in FTL and here she had Belle/Charming that was sweet!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I agree! I love these friendship episodes! And when Red said Snow is her family... I nearly cried.

    ReplyDelete
  8. LOL, I seriously thought she was about to kiss him at the end there.

  9. It really didn't look like that. They just comforted each other.

The fact that we know, that Snow and Charming are married and made for each other and true love and all that... makes stuff like this uninteresting :) Do I make sense?

  10. I loved this episode. Ruby's friendship with Charming and Snow is so great. :D I loved Charming approaching and talking to Ruby when she was in wolf form.

King George is such a jerk, and a murderer. Billy may have been a mouse in fairytale world, but in Storybrooke he was human, and animals in fairytale world mean a lot. They mean a lot to some people in the real world too.

  11. I was hoping for more. It was a little dull but the Ruby/Belle friendship is adorable. I really wish they'd made them Beauty and the Beast instead of Belle and Rumple.

  12. It was a great show. Loved Granny being all badass as usual.

  13. I don't think there's anything about this episode I didn't love. Red-centric anything is clearly awesome, and added on to that the Red/Snow, Ruby/Charming and Ruby/Belle friendships were just so great. I thought that outside of exploring Ruby's character, it was great for both Charming and Belle. Belle showed that it's not just her true love she believes in, but that she's willing to help anyone she thinks is capable of being better in spite of their past, which honestly does put some of her motivation in her relationship with Rumpel in a better light. Charming meanwhile had a great episode, backing his friend in spite of all the evidence against her and showing that he's learned from his mistakes as Nolan, and then sparing Spencer in spite of everything he'd done - although that wouldn't be good sheriff-ing, killing an unarmed man. And King George made a great play coming out of the gate (a great, kinda sad play - sorry, Billy). And even Rumple having a moment of decency when he helped Henry, which he genuinely seemed to be doing, though you never can tell with him.

    Plus, wolves! Loved it all.

  14. it had it's scenes, but it wasn't their best episode. i really enjoyed it though

Regina is not getting a lot of screen time as i would want to. why is that? it's bothering me

Red/Ruby SHINED in her role. Her backstory became even more tragic. Of course she already had like a dozen of deaths on her conscience, but now she added an even heavier one.

And can we talk on just HOW PERFECT the King George is as villain?
The end scene was PERFECTLY executed and if you, as a viewer, did not want to murder George in that scene, then something is wrong with you.

Everything was so perfect in this episode, I can even almost forgive them for chaining up Belle and forgetting her for like half the episode after her five minutes of screentime…almost.

    5/5

    LOL, agreed.

I mean there WERE sparks already in S1 scenes in every scene they met, but in the last scenes of this episode? those two have been literally heating up the room temperature

You are one season too late then. That ship has appeared in the fandom since mid S1.

  18. Me too.I hope the writers don't go there.David already cheated on Katherine with MM and even though he was cursed and Snow was his other wife but I don't the writers to write David gets lonely cause his wife is away and has an affair with her BFF.that sl is overdone

  19. Awesome ep. Great backstory while forwarding the current storyline as well. Loved the multiple relationships tonight: Red/Snow, Ruby/ David, Ruby/Belle, and the reveal that Granny is a little wolfish herself. It was also nice to see Regina in a different light and protective of Henry. Poor Gus/Billy... I wonder if David will just have to keep Spencer/George locked up in the sheriff's jail as they don't have any other facility and he's an admitted murderer.... maybe they can keep him in the place where Regina kept Belle locked up.... Good to also see the sheriff's car getting some use - Emma insisted on driving her VW all the time even after she became sheriff.

  20. I was wondering the same thing. I don't Snow outright admitted she had that particular dream before, but she did seem to recognize the dream when Aurora mentioned it. If it's the Sleeping Curse Dream common to all those who fell under that curse, I hope Snow can pull it up again to contact Henry and/or David/Charming.

  21. Loved the episode.

RED - I am generally psyched over Red-centric storylines because I find her fascinating. I also enjoyed all the friendships Red has had. I loved how Red and Snow accepted and loved each other, like family. That part was so deep, I almost cried....almost. I'm not a complete mushy mess. ;) Also, did anyone else find it hilariously inappropriate that a mouse wanted to date a wolf? ;) HA! That's like lunch, waiting to happen! ;) Yes, I'm joking...Poor Gus/Billy's death was sad! I loved that mouse from Disney's Cinderella!

CHARMING - I also loved the heroic arc that David had throughout this episode. Although, I prefer "action Charming" over "speech-at-you David".

SLEEPING CURSE DREAM - I am so happy that the show picked right up with that Sleeping Curse Dream! I was hoping to see it shown on tv. Lo and behold, they show it right away, with Henry and Aurora in that dimension. SO cool! I'm so excited to see the continuation of that Sleeping Curse Dream stuff.

  22. Regina's absence bothers me, but I hope they have a good reason for that. Since Cora is probably finding a way to Storybrooke, I'm thinking she'll show up more in the future. And, well, we did have two Regina-centric episodes in a total of seven, so it seems fair enough.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Someone should seriously tell Dallas and Ory to stop having so much chemistry.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes, that's what I was hoping. I want some Snow/Henry sweetness :)
Now we know why they dragged Aurora around with them ;)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I really liked the episode!! But there were some things that caught my attention, and not in the good way.

Although I find more than understandable that Ruby felt scared and freaked out, it did make me miss the more badass Red. In both stories she was like this almost constantly, and it got a little jarring. It also made me sad that the more flirty side of Ruby seems to have been erased completely (again, since this episode was just one big freak out, we can't make much on the case for characterization beyond that, but even in previous episodes of this season, she seems definitely non flirty)

And the thing with the timeline in FTL; they really play it fast and loose, which can be the safer choice, but it really doesn't seems to be a reliable time frame, and that kinda rubs me the wrong way.

Hoping to see more a more confident Ruby soon.

And R.I.P. Billy the Mouse. Honestly, a Wolf dating a mouse would have been hilarious :(

    ReplyDelete
  26. I seriously seriously doubt that is going to go anywhere. They just have chemistry and will be good friends.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I feel the same way, too little Regina screentime. And what's especially bothering me is Henry's attitude. I'm just so over it, it's just exhausting.
For example, when he wakes up after his nightmare and his first words to Regina are "What are you doing here? Where's David?" Seriously, kid??? No "Mom", no "I've missed you" or anything?? I guess Henry is in a way Regina's punishment, but it does seem unnatural to me that the boy is so worried about Emma and Snow, but he shows absolutely no affection for Regina. It bothers me, a lot. And it bothers me even more than the previous season, because he knows that Regina's been through a lot as well, she's struggling to prove her love for him, she's complying with his every wish and whim. And it's so frustrating that even after all her emotional confessions to him, all he does is abuse her love and give nothing in return.
I'm so fed up with the "no sympathy for the Evil Queen" policy of the characters in Storybrooke (with the notable exception of Archie, the Regina/Archie scenes are as funny as they are heartbreaking).

    ReplyDelete
  28. I doubt Rumple helped Henry out of the "goodness" of his heart. Although I can see that he might relate to helping a boy his age, I think it was more of an investment, kind of like "helping" Emma in season 1 so she'd owe him a favour.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I guess it's just me, but I had really conflicting feelings about this episode. First, I loved Red/Ruby because Meghan was just adorable, and her story was more interesting than last week's ep. I also loved macho!Charming, thankfully Josh's tight trousers managed to distract me from my irritation at his arrogance and boasts. :D

But on the other hand, everytime Snow/Charming/Belle gave Red/Ruby a pep talk, I couldn't help picturing Regina in her place. If Regina had had friends like that instead of Rumple's "guidance" and Maleficent's "friendship", or the Genie's "love" and her father's "help", she wouldn't have become "the Evil Queen". All she ever needed was for someone to believe in her innate goodness the way Charming/Snow/Belle did with Ruby. I guess in Storybrooke only Archie has the emotional potential to be that person.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I doubt it too. I'm sure it had more to do with Regina than Henry.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm on my way out the door, just want to say loved the dream/nightmare with Henry and Aurora in it! finish later!

  32. Going to be difficult watching Cinderella from now on. :(

and have more awkward scenes :DDD

  34. Awesome episode as usual. Too bad now we have two weeks. :( but anyway, I doubt George is done with Charming. I bet he's coming back the sob! Poor Gus and ruby. Loved the punch charming gave him though, and I knew that he wouldn't kill the bastard because he's no monster unlike George. And charming and ruby friendship for.the win! They're so sweet can't wait till snow and Emma come it's going on .

    ReplyDelete
  35. 1) I love Granny, she's such a badass granny. I want my granny to be like her, if she was still alive. So, strong and confident, loving and protective.

    2) Ruby was a terrific actress. But I just wished that she didn't right away believed when Anita claimed that she was her mother. But then, it's a fairy tale, so it's simpler than the modern world with DNA test and all that stuff.

    3) Now I see more of Snow and Red's friendship, I kinda wished that Red was also stuck in the Neverland with Emma, it'd be a hot and awesome trio. But then, it'd be too crowded with Aurora and Mulan.

    4) GOD, I want to strangle George after all he did. Get over it already! You're the one who forced Charming to choose you over his own mother, and now you're talking about him making you lose your family! Go screw yourself in the behind.

    5) I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the twist about how Henry now could communicate with Aurora. Is this how they might find a way out from the land?

    Great episode!!!!!

Now I want a continuation from Cricket's backstory (I know, random) and how Aurora fell into the sleeping curse.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Definitely! And now I want to write Ruby/Billy fics because a mouse and a werewolf would be awesome together, tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  37. True, and I'm not denying the possibility that this will fit into Rumpel's grand scheme in some way down the road. But the thing about Rumpel is that he doesn't lie, technically speaking, and when he makes a deal he means it. No price means no price. That being said, is it possible that helping Henry somehow helps Rumpel another way? Sure. But he didn't ask for something in return, he doesn't retroactively change bargains, and he does have a weakness for abandoned young boys, so it's possible he helped just to help.

  38. Don't get me wrong, I love M.O. but her acting went from its usual "terrific-ness" to terrible and back in the blink of an eye. That has never been a problem with her so it was a shame it happened here. (the wolves acting didn't really help here either)

The storyline wasn't the most exciting either and whilst better than last week the CGI still leaves a lot to be desired. Disappointing.

  39. David is not a great Sheriff.

George admitted to murder at the end of this episode and he just leaves him on the beach? What the hell? He doesn't arrest him or throw him across the town line? Anything? George commits murder and nothing is done about it? This isn't FTL. Arrest him, shoot him, wipe his identity or something but don't do nothing.

  40. gald to know i'm not the only one been angry about Regina's absense! and it bother me too Henry's scene with Regina. He was so rude to her! but then again.. she caused a lot of pain to this people ( which i can totally get passed that, i don't really know why i'm rooting for evil to succed a..k.a Regina. )

    ReplyDelete
  41. yeah i was thinking the same too. With the Cora stoyline coming to future episodes, Regina has got to be a part of it....

    ReplyDelete
  42. Which makes me think, is every animal that was an animal in FTL now a human in Storybrooke?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I was so bummed that Billy didn't survive until act one. That guy was a cutie. Was looking forward to them hooking up. Ah well. Loved the ep though. The dream got more interesting when Gold explained what was going on. And suddenly they have a way to communicate with Emma and Snow. Awesome. What *should* happen with George is that Charming call the State authorities to take him into custody for serving his term for murder in a state facility. He's out of town and doesn't remember a thing about anyone in it. Nice and legal and he's gone for good. Was expecting/hoping someone to suggest it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. It feels like they're moving toward a more ensemble sort of arena and in doing that they're giving more time to other characters on the canvas. I'm okay with that as long as they're characters that have been there from the beginning rather than new characters created for this season.

    I'm okay with it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This episode was pretty bad. Major plot problems. (Where'd the rest of the pack disappear to? Charming waits until the following night to get Granny sniffing out the culprit? Ruby CAN'T sniff? How'd Ruby get out of the locker; did George let her out, did she break out? And if she had learned--in a single day apparently--how to control and therefore remember her changes, why doesn't she remember the first one back? And if she didn't remember, it and was in fact not in control, then it's just luck she didn't actually kill someone, isn't it? How is NOT chaining yourself up but instead chaining up a friend a wise move? Where was the safe place charming put the hat, a hatrack? How'd George get hold of it?) Major bad dialogue. False melodrama. Yikes!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yes! Yet another idiotic moment in a truly bad episode. I mean, the guy committed murder, for Pete's sake!

    ReplyDelete
  47. am I the only one here who thought that ruby was goin to kiss belle when she was chaining her up? Great episode! I love this show!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Such a cool idea about Ruby being the Beast. Not exactly traditional, seeing it wouldn't be a "love story", but that hasn't stopped this show before. Good thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I feel like I'm disappointed by the CGI more often than not. It really knocks an episode down a few notches.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I enjoyed the ep, but I wasn't particularly enamored with it. It was nice to see proper FTL Snow, because I think she's now more MM. Maybe it's the haircut though? :P

    ReplyDelete
  51. Well, given that Cricket could talk, it's not impossible... Now, I believe that all the other townspeople who are not popular might just be the animals that live with the main characters of fairy tales that we know...

    ReplyDelete
  52. I really like the sudo pocket universe-ethereal-parallel plane idea going on there too! (;

I have been so busy that I haven't had time to comment on the Sunday night shows! But I thought this was another good one! I hope Ruby gets another love interest at some point. She's one character that really has a had a super rough ride!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Me too! I was busy till my back decided to pay me a visit, guess it thought i was having to much fun (yeah right) So i'm back on my loopy pills, feeling, well loopy! I hav en't watched any of my shows, hoping they are on the dvr?? Guess we are two peas in a pod this week,ha! :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. I liked the episode, it wasn't fantastic, but really good! Especially the sequence of the "conscious wolf night" was well done and gave me a little bit of chills:). I shipped Red and Quinn in an instance, REALLY too bad he had to die!

    ReplyDelete
  55. it wasn't as good as red-handed, which is one of my favorite episodes of the series ever, but I love me some RED, so it was a very enjoyable hour! I also love charming, this season much more than the previous one, and the dream sequences were misterious enough. I hated the spencer character though, so illogical and primitive, they could have done better with it.
