That was just amazing and perfect in every way. Loved Nick and Shirtless!Michael Trucco is very attractive, but I'm glad he's gone.
Barney meant every single fucking word he said and I don't give a crap that he played it off. And FUCK ALL THOSE PHONES FOR CONSTANTLY INTERRUPTING BARNEY/ROBIN. THEY'RE EVIL.
And LOL at Horny!Lily. Aww at Ted taking Marvin (who is adorable) so they could have sex. And aww at him getting dumped by his friends.
Amazing, this episode was just amazing B/R are perfect I have no words to express all of the feels I have right now for them<3 Loved Patrice lol! Marshall and his workouts loved Barney sitting on him that was funny. Lily being horny is always great to see. Ted wasn't at all dislikable in this episode for once so that's a nice change for him or once.
I thought it was pretty great, but Ted's story line seemed random. It's like they couldn't figure out what to do with him. Still, he wasn't whiny, so I'll count it as a win. And no matter what Barney says, I think he meant every word of that speech.
Good lord, what he we stripped ourselves to. Best episode of the season? Made people smile? What, that a person who is well-functioning would think a five-letter word is a four letter word? Or what, the basketball jokes? Or the horny Lilly lame ones? Or the big speech? First it felt very forced, as every b/r scene today. No romance, just some words actors are talking...but nothing is there. When I look at first season and compare it to this one, it really is sad. But that's HIMYM for us today, and it won't get any better as long as these characters who were once persons remain caricatures.
I love how like almost everybody's opinion of the episode rests solely on if Barney and Robin get any scenes together...wait, I don't love it, I actually think it's rather pathetic. The whole dynamic of that relationship sucks, and the speech, while pretty in words, was forced. If you're looking for your own Barney in life, I wish you luck in your divorce.
Key Point: I despise Barney and Robin together and still found it to be a pretty good episode.
Not really invested in Barney and Robin being together, horny and Robin and Patrice's BFF Fun Day were the highlights of the episode for me. Also Ted taking Marvin out so Lily and Marshall have some alone time was also sweet.
I think Ted's storyline is gonna be random for the rest of the season. We know that he doesn't get in another serious relationship before he meets the mother, but just a fling or two.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Nick was hilarious, Patrice was hilarious, and Lily was funny.
ReplyDeleteBarney/Robin = bleh (and may the dislikes commence)

This was easily the best episode of the season thus far.

Pls leave himym alone....I couldn't believe that after season 5 it can take a new low ,but it did.

ReplyDeleteSame. I am so not interested in Barney and Robin being together. I never liked them as a couple.
ReplyDeleteI think Ted's storyline is gonna be random for the rest of the season. We know that he doesn't get in another serious relationship before he meets the mother, but just a fling or two.
ReplyDeleteThumbs up for the "Barney/Robin = bleh comment.
ReplyDeleteI found it pretty poor to be honest. The storyline with Robin and Nick was decent, and the Patrice bit was funny.
ReplyDeleteBut the basketball storyline was a bit ridiculous and not funny at all.
B/R are a sure thing now, so whilst I don't really like them together, I'm not so bothered by it that it makes/breaks an episode for me.
Haha thanks. My ratio of thumbs up to thumbs down has turned out better than I suspected...
