This episode was phenomenal. The ending left me completely breathless, but it was worth every second. Michael did what he had to do for himself, his mom and Nate. Maddie was terrific tonight. I can see Sam questioning Michael's in future episodes. I think his mom's last words will leave a lasting impression in Michael's head and heart and he's going to spiral out of control from here on out.
Great premiere, even though I felt the AYN side of things brought it down, maybe good for another episode, but felt too interjecting into what else was going on. I'm surprised they took down Card this quickly, but I'm glad Michael did it. I was hoping he would shoot him during that whole final scene, and right when Card said "son" everyone knew he would shoot Card. Kinda sad for Gray since he seemed pretty repentant for what he did.
And Maddie's final scene, damn, powerful stuff. I feel bad for Michael, but Maddie is right in a way. Hopefully there's some reconciliation between the two down the road.
I thought this was an amazing new premiere for another new season of Burn Notice!
It definitely needed the 2 hours to get where we ended with Michael killing Card. I agree that the "save of the week" with Ayn was out of place but I think they needed to finish up Fiona's story line with this prison mate. Besides, this may be the last one for a while with the trouble Michael is in now.
I thought it was pretty cool to torch Michael and Fiona's place as a way to say this season will be completely different than before. Even having Maggie start to pack her bags is a show of how this show just keeps on evolving over many seasons.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Amazing episodes

Maddie is a poor mother. She was when didn't leave Michael's father and she's now always blaming his son about everything.
ReplyDelete..awesome is a very short word to describe these episodes pure spy technique delivery and over the top performance
