I still think Leonard and Penny should break up, but the moment she said she loved him was adorable. As was Leonard crying because she said it and started crying afterwards.
But ugh, he's jealous for no reason and needs to stop this shit that he does. And I'm hoping he dates that girl, although I feel bad for her because Leonard is such a bad boyfriend.
Awww at Sheldon playing hacky sack. And LOL at Raj and Howard trying to figure it out. I miss Stuart, though, and Raj/Stuart.
It's...it's like you say these things on purpose. -_-
Leonard has EVERY RIGHT to feel jealous. His girlfriend is texting another guy while she's with him. Most guys would be jealous. He knew nothing about this person other than Penny was texting him.
And that's all I'm going to say, because everything else you mentioned I have already responded to a couple of times and your reasoning makes even less sense now than it did then. It makes absolutely zero logical sense how you can still think Leonard is the bad one in the relationship. It's like you're ignoring everything Penny has done.
I think Leonard is just insecure, so I wouldn't call his reaction to Penny's texts "jealous for no reason". As Sheldon so bluntly pointed out, the odds aren't exactly stacked in his favor. He's bound to worry now and then. I'm not crazy about the Leonard/Penny relationship either, but I can understand why he'd be upset.
Well, I didn't expect "43" to be a hacky sack streak hahaha... and there wasn't enough Ryan Cartwright for my taste. I got super excited to see "Vincent Nigel-Murray" on my screen, and it was pretty much a blink and you miss it cameo. Ah, well.
So happy Leonard finally got an "I love you", even if I'm still not crazy about the relationship (at the moment, anyway). I'm actually interested in seeing where the story line with Sheldon's assistant goes. She seems sweet.
I like Alex. She's super cute and has such a beautiful smile. Honestly, she and Leonard really do have some chemistry, and they're comfortable around each other. Alex trying to get the rather oblivious Leonard's attention is amusing. I don't know where I want that to go.
As for the jealousy, Leonard has every right to feel that way. I mean come on, pretty much everyone around him believes Penny is too good for him. He's constantly reminded of that, even from Penny herself. She never tells him that directly, but when talking to her friends when he's not around she very heavily implies that she's as good as he can get.
So when a guy comes along that he perceives as being closer to Penny's type, he becomes territorial. It's a completely logical human way to respond to the situation. Let's not forget that Penny did something VERY SIMILAR when Alex appeared. Remember how she started grilling him about his day after those two met?
As for the admission of love, that was really sweet. But I think it was just as much a surprise to Penny as it was to Leonard. For once she was the one who just said something because it's how she felt, she didn't say it because she felt she had to.
Leonard's insecurity ruins (or nearly ruins) everything plot stuff has been done and done...and over done. A LOT. It's time to stop. Move on. Do something different! Please. Really did like the way Penny admitted to loving Leonard.
Sheldon's trick on Howard and Raj was AWESOME. Just loved it.
When Penny shockingly admitted her love for Leonard....I was immediately crying. The look that they gave each other. It's like we ALL experienced it together. I felt like I was in the hall too. Me and my husband looked at each other and I said " She said she loves him"....It was a perfect scene. They have enormous chemistry......she may be a pretty little blonde but for the record I find Leonard (Johnny) to be quite a handsome man! He is a superb actor and I adore his innocence. Sheldon needs Amy in every episode...she is his better half.....I missed her last night and Bernadette. I did enjoy the keystone scientist cops Raj and Howard...they were hilarious. When Sheldon threw that mask down on them I was hysterical...LOLOLOL great show...hooray for Penny and Leonard.......writers don't muck it up with Alex.....maybe Sheldon will have to fire her if she keeps mooning over Leonard ....it would be his way of protecting Leonard and Penny's relationship and that would be sweet..remember when he said to Penny "Don't hurt my friend".......
i think this is the best big bang theory season ever so far. Every episode has me laughing so much. I kind of missed Amy tonight, but it was still very funny. The Penny scene at the stairs was hillarious and the ending with Sheldon as well!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Good episode!
I give this ep a 4/5 even though I missed Amy desperately.
ReplyDeleteThe combination of Leonard being completely unlikable & pathetic, the plotholes (...) and average storyline make this a mediocre episode.

No, Leonard has no right to feel jealous or try to scare the guy. They're just friends, and that's all it was.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Penny's had issues, too, but Leonard is worse.

ReplyDeleteit makes me tear up that I'm not the only one who missed Amy (and Bernadette) in this episode. :D
