It was good, overall. A little slow, less impressive than the previous episodes, but then the last five minutes happened and now, wow! Super excited for next week :D
Also, John Barrowman! I love it when he shows up on my TV :D
Another strong ep that dropped more tidbits to the myriad of mysteries in the show.. the mother has the boat in the city, and is well aware of the "List" - which will be interesting to find out how Oliver got/made it, as when he found the journal on his father's body, it was blank. Liked that just about everyone had a decent bit of screentime, and whoa with the ending and how is THAT going to work itself out? Like that Dig is onboard, but hope that even though he is meant to be a moral compass of sorts for Oliver, that he doesn't dampen the darker aspect of the Hood and make him a total goody two shoes (which I don't think that they will) as I've been appreciating the dark take on the character.
Phew, I finally caught up! I'm SO glad I gave this show a chance... this episode in particular was a bit slower than the first three, but it was just as compelling. Stephen Amell does a great job portraying two different personalities, pre- and post-island, and I love watching him switch between the two. I also love that Dig is on board. I figured it was only a matter of time, and I'm glad it happened sooner rather than later.
..this episode was unique because we know how oliver struggles to no became a killer without conscience ,the warehouse scene the boat parts hidden there ..woow very creepy and mysterious and dig help him cool keep him grounded dont lose focus
I noticed this episode a little slower than the others, but very likeable like always, it was a little funny to hear Olliver with his new voice but, it was necessary to talk to Laurel, anyways!! I love this show very much!!.
Really liked this episode. Thought this ep was better than last weeks. The boat is in a warehouse!?!?!? And has been for 3 years!?!?!? And the Asian dude speaks English?
Laurel loses intelligence points for running through a prison instead of staying put and waiting for help. Loved her pop checking the footage from the shooting last week.
Poor Rob. I mean seriously. Oliver could have cut him a teeny break. Favorite line "that boy is long gone." lol
I liked the change in format. It was nice to see Oliver having to juggle stuff and fight to stay afloat.
Wild Aside: Remember when the CW kept adding women to the cast of Supernatural "in an effort to get more women to watch the show" apparently the marketing department realizes this isn't an issue with Arrow because they're selling commercial time for feminine products. bwahahahaha
i didn't really enjoy this episode because they totally made laurel weak as hell. she just drops her gun when this masked dude is in her house? and she is so easily swayed first towards oliver, and then to her dad? whatevs.
this is def my favorite new show of the year (last resort was a seriou contender as well, but i had to give up on it when it became clear it had no shot at being renewed). I really liked the episode and I am shocked that he was caught on so earlier on. Even though he will for sure be able to dismiss the suspicions somehow, i never expected anyone to make an association with him before the season 1 finale or something like that. What a pace!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Amazing as always! http://www.thegreenarrow.net

ReplyDeleteArrow's tough guy voice doesn't sound tough. The episode was boring until the end. Smoak is funny
ReplyDeleteNot my favorite episode, but certainly had some thought-provoking moments, and did confirm that Dig is my favorite thing about this show, hands down.
ReplyDeleteanother perfect episode! can't wait to see more!
