  1. Gossip Girl over SPN for Favorite Network Drama. Just not buying it and am calling shenanigans

  2. No nomination in the drama category for the show that WON it last year? Ridiculous. How many different ways can these awards insult one show?

  3. This is awkward not seeing Damian Lewis or Claire Danes in the drama category.... Anyway, the PCA are no big deal

  4. Hope that Castle will win the 3 awards =)

  5. Modern family, Greys anatomy, Awkward, Homeland, Chris Colfer, Sofia Vergara, Ellen Pompeo, Ellen DeGeneres, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Chelsea Handler, “American Idol”, Jennifer Lopez, Gleeks, “Glee”, 666 Park Avenue

  6. Okay, this has to be rigged : where is 90210 for best drama series ?

Hopefully Sunny, Homeland and the zombies will win something - not that winning an award at the PCAs has any value whatsoever.

  7. Actually, I see absolutely no one I think should be there in both drama acting categories. No Glenn Close, no Margulies, no Claire Danes, no Rose Byrne, no Damian Lewis, no Bryan Cranston, no Jon Hamm, just... nobody.

  8. Some of these nominations are actually quite embarrassing, especially in the actor/actress categories. There are so many really great one's not nominated when pretty average actors/actresses are.

  9. Ah, c'mon, PCA nominations get shows and actors with really loud and obsessive fandoms (and I'm not criticizing here). Cranston is a wonderful actor and he gets his Emmy nominations. PCA is practically the only chance for network and genre shows to win ANYTHING, since Emmies kinda despise them (not criticizing as well). You don't think Cranston's or Glenn Close' fans are as tireless and devoted as TVD or SPN fans, do you? lol. Seems pointless to "despair" at people's taste. They voted their favorites into this ballot and they don't have any other options to celebrate their fave shows and actors, so what's with the whining? Besides some of the actors at least aren't bad at all, just happened to land MOR parts on networks.

  10. I'm so happy that Stana is nominated :)

  11. It's PEOPLE'S choice, guys, so if you want to blame anyone, blame other people for not watching and voting for the shows. The people who are in charge of the Academy Awards have no say in this. You had the option to write in the shows/people you wanted more than once, you should have taken advantage of that.

  12. If it has no value, then why are you bitching about it? Who cares if they win or not? Or if they're even nominated? You obviously love the shows you listed and just because they don't win an award doesn't mean you're going to stop watching them. They're just award shows. Fun, little award shows that aren't really a big deal. If what you wanted isn't on their ballot, no one is forcing you to watch it. Go watch re-runs of the shows you love so much.

  13. That wasn't "bitching", it was just my opinion, and don't worry, I won't watch the ceremony or stop watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia if it loses to Melissa & Joey or Hot in Cleveland as funniest cable show.

I just thought I could express my feelings on this and all other award shows, I didn't realize we all had to agree with one another and that if we don't, we can just bug off to go and watch re-runs of the show I love so much.

I'm not just 'bitching'/expressing my thoughts about the PCA here. I'm very happy that Homeland, Claire Danes and Damian Lewis won last September at the Emmys, but I'd prefer an award show where underdog shows (like Eastbound and Down, Raising Hope, The League, Justified and SouthLAnd) have a legitimate shot at winning, and there's just no way that unpredictibility will ever occur in this world.

Anyway, as for my picks for best actors/actresses in these PCAs : I vote for the ugly ones.

  14. Kudos to you! I don't think i would have been that generous with my answer to her.Ya know, do unto others as they would do to you...

  15. No Person Of Interest?? Wow.

  16. Oh, it's alright, I don't think she meant wrong, we just seem to have a different conception of the word 'bitching', to me it's not 'disagreeing and explaining why' :p.

I'm glad you, I and others on the thread also think it's just awkward to see some of the nominees here... I'm not being patronizing when I say that I truly wish more people opened up to less accessible shows. Well, on that topic, at least today I was delighted to see that many people in my class are Breaking Bad fans, and someone who I recommended the show to last week has already seen seasons 1-2 and is hooked, that is so satisfying ^^.

  17. Yay for Castle!! Stana Katic & Nathan Fillion deserve it!

  18. Excuse me while I die of laughter (and shame) that Gossip Girl is nominated for TV Network Drama... maybe it's out of pity?

  19. This is such a joke, who votes 12 year old kids!

  20. Favorite Dramatic TV Actor:
    Ian Somerhalder
    Jared Padalecki
    Jensen Ackles
    Nathan Fillion
    Paul Wesley

Umm, where's Andrew Lincoln?! He is the most deserving of that award, this is NOT meant as a 'hit' against Jensen or Jared or Nathan who have both been their fantastic selves this season on both shows. But I am just stating the truth here. Lincoln has given a PRONOMINAL performance this season.

If he isn't nominated for an Emmy this season either, I will have lost faith in whoever's in charge of the Emmy voting people!

  21. I hesitate to bother after the way they treated Supernatural last year.

  22. They have the nomination voting open to the public as well...
