Hmm, interesting. Trying to figure out where she is going to show up, but I think FTL is more likely. Hunter of deadly creatures is not exactly a profession around Storybrooke...
It may be significant that "brunette" is specified, but I'm drawing a blank when I try to guess her identity (assuming she's from FTL or one of the other worlds from Jefferson's hat).
Either that or she's a known Disney character who's a brunette, which would explain the specific hair color. However, I can't think of any brunettes that they haven't already used. Plus, the name certainly isn't familiar.
Hmmm... nothing really comes to mind on who she could be....All that name reminds me is Helen of Troy. Brunette? Check. Sophisticated Lady? Check. Although not really a "hunter". No idea really.
The only brunette fairytale character I remember right now is Jasmin but this is not Jasmin's description. Unless it's not a fairytale character. As for the actress who could play this Helena, bring in Rachel Nichols, she's brunette now and is not shooting anything at this moment, Continuum won't start shooting its second season until next year.
I'm clueless here, but I think it's not one of the original fairytales if you get what I mean, since Dr. Whale is Victor Frankenstein. With this, all the possibilities are out there. I wouldn't expect Sheldon Cooper to pop up here though.. ;)
Helena makes me think or Helen, like Helen of Troy. I hope for Lost parallels sake she's red head and is played by Rebecca Mader. Helena is also the name of a character in Midsummer Night's Dream...
Helena name meaning: Wicker, Reed, Shoot, Tourch - I am trying to think of a story about someone who weaves baskets, clothes or something...
Emperors New Clothes, The Good Housewife and her Helpers, The Lady of Shallot???
But I like what you guys have come up with! Dracula/Van Helsing would be cool! :D
Van Helsing-related stuff was one of the options I thought of too. That name (Helena) somehow conjures up that image to me. If Helena looks anything like how Kate Beckinsale looked in that movie, it'd be pretty great casting imo. I thought her look & costume was one of the brighter spots in that movie.
After blanking, and getting confused by any fairytale that even resembles the description above, I thought of a few alternative options. Helena/H.G. from WH13 was totally one of them! It'd be cool if she popped up on OUaT to play the same sort of character. ;)
Well, Snow White was never so kickass and action-packed. Red Riding Hood hasn't been traditionally revealed to also be The Wolf. So, maybe Helen of Troy can be a hunter on the side? I'd be up for it, especially since I find Greek mythology so interesting, and would be up for some more mythology storylines, of various cultures, to appear on Once.
She's terrific as a posh, Victorian-esque heroine (or villainess, as the case may be). Given the style of Once Upon A Time, it would be a shame if she didn't guest star at some point. Perhaps she could turn up in Frankenstein's steampunk-style world?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteSo basically they're looking for a female hunter, like from SPN;)
ReplyDeleteInteresting... Who or what is she hunting for?
Maybe they're making Van Helsing a woman.
ReplyDeleteSounds cool. I wonder who she'll be?

ReplyDeleteJaime Murray plays a darn good Helena in Warehouse 13...just a suggestion.

ReplyDeleteMaybe an elf?
ReplyDeleteI think i'm behind on my fairy tales,i haven't a clue?

ReplyDeleteI feel like if Jaime and Lana were on screen together, thousands of fangirls would die. :p But I do agree, Miss Murray does fit that description.
ReplyDeleteOf Troy?
ReplyDeleteNot yet, but if Cora gets through, I think the demand will go up.

ReplyDeleteI don't know how far from traditional fairy tales the writers plan to go, this is just a long shot.

Im thinking she could be Mina from Dracula... If they've gone with Frankenstein, they could go with Dracula.

That has to be the best idea since the invention of the internet.
ReplyDeleteWhy, thank you. :)

ReplyDeleteThat lady freaks me out. I still get shivers just thinking of her latest character turn on Fringe. Yikes!

ReplyDeleteYeah, she did have a memorable wardrobe.
