Emma is better to think well, before dating a guy who punches women. He did not think twice and hit Belle..And worse, he was ready to kill her if Regina did not arrive in time

After seeing this I think Hook will be in for a little culture shock when he gets to Storybrooke. No royalty, no dungeons, no Regina trying to kill Rumple (and vice versa), and no outward vendettas or violence of any kind. Say what you want about Storybrooke but the death toll is much much smaller than it was in FTL.
yeah UGH Hook is monstrous and abusive. Hit innocent girls and kills them when they are useless for him. I'm excited to see Hook in Storybrook when face to face with Belle and Rumpel
The thing about Hook is, i think anyways, he was more nefarious than evil. Plus, he back handed Belle, not punched her. In that kind of world a back hand to a woman was a lot more common and accepted (not good but true). Taking Aurora's heart even is not evil if his master plan is to get it back to her. All in all, i don't actually care which side they end up leaving Hook on. I am enjoying the character and the writing for him so far.
While the evil queen is not my favourite character, Lana is definitely my favourite actress! She is flawless!
Also, a deal which Rumple surely isn't aware of. But as fas as Rumple and Regina know it is only Cora who is trying to come to Storybrooke. Henry didn't mention anything about Hook.
I'm fine with Hook being a genuine bad guy. I just don't want anymore ambivalent antagonists. Regina and Gold have that covered. What makes Cora so good as a villain is that there's absolutely no uncertainty as to where her personality lies. She's an evil bitch, plain and simple and OUAT is better off for it.
Regina does sound VERY VERY DIFFERENT! Especially when she said "so dedicated!" it just sounded exactly like Cora when she said "so brave!" in the previous episode. She talks in such a different manner to the 'usual' Regina - her voice is lower and softer and she speaks slower. We know that Lana Parrilla studied voice for years so for her to sound so UNLIKE her, I'm convinced there must be a reason. Everything from that scene just shouts at me "It's CORA" but then... why would she do that? And I believe Belle is imprisoned in the Evil Queen's castle so it's more probable that this is actually Regina but then again, maybe Cora would be using that disguise to move freely around the castle? So confused...
"I think Hook punching Belle is another Moment of Awesome for his character, just like him taking Aurora's heart."
I can't agree that a man punching a defenseless woman could ever be a "Moment of Awesome".
As for him taking Aurora's heart, I'm inclined to agree that it was an interesting plot twist because I'm now lost where his allegiances truly lie. A moral argument could be made against its "awesomeness" though.
As a character defining moment, it is awesome. No one is saying that the act itself is something positive because it's not. it's awful. Really awful. The horrible nature of his actions puts to rest any idea that he's just a morally ambiguous "bad boy" type and that definition is a good thing.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Interesting...will definitely mean something when Hook comes to Storybrooke.
ReplyDeleteBut damn, Hook/Regina, now that could be interesting.
And worse, he was ready to kill her if Regina did not arrive in time
ReplyDeleteSo Hook knows Regina AND Belle! Now, that was so mean to hit her! I wonder if he knows by now, that Belle's Rumple's weakness.
ReplyDeleteHook punched Belle.

cant wait
ReplyDeleteOMG!! Regina is awesome! Hook is awesome! I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteAlso means Hook is well aware Belle is Rumple's weakness, which makes his determination to keep Cora out of Storybrooke much more understandable.
ReplyDeleteAnd, from what we saw, this could very well mean Hook made some sort of deal with Regina, a deal which Cora might not be aware of.

ReplyDeleteBut I'm sure the people who want Captain Effing Hook to be a good guy are going to be upset by this.

No. I prefer Hook evil, but far from Emma
ReplyDeleteyeah Hook and Regina is tempting. Both seeking revenge. Both of them losing their true loves. And the two have incredible chemistry together.
ReplyDeleteSounds a lot like Rumple

ReplyDeleteOnly I liked Hooks expression " you don't?!" :-D

ReplyDeleteInteresting combination of Hook, Regina, and Belle! I can not wait!

ReplyDeletesick...
ReplyDeleteMaybe this scene takes place after a Cora scene, and they deliberately had Regina speak like that to beat us over the head with the parallels.
ReplyDeleteHere's an idea for a plot twist: Cora comes through the portal and takes Regina's heart. It's Cora that is speaking through Regina to Hook. ?
ReplyDeletePoor Belle!
ReplyDeleteYes, Hook is so abusive as Rumpel...
