Update: 10th November The Feedback icon has now been moved to the right hand side.
Hey All,
As you know we really value your ideas and feedback here at SpoilerTV. After all, this is your site as much as it is ours. You are the ones using and interacting with it everyday.
As a result we've just added a new Feedback/Ideas/Suggestions and Bug Reporting System that allows you to post your ideas and suggestions, as well as reporting bugs to us.
The system also allows you to vote on existing ideas so that we get a good understanding of what ideas/features people find interesting.
How to Use
The system is very simple to use. When you load up any SpoilerTV page, on the right hand side you will see this icon.

Hover your mouse over this icon and you'll get an expanded widget.

Click the feedback link and you will presented with the following popup box.

From here you can either
1) Add a New Idea
2) View/Vote/Comment on Existing Ideas
3) Report a bug.
Simply click on the required left hand tab and you will then be presented with a simple form to fill out.

Please ensure you use your real email address if you want to be alerted to any updates to you idea/report.
Once done, click the blue Submit button and you should get a notification that your post has been submitted.

You can also vote on existing ideas submitted by others by clicking on the Current Ideas tab and then clicking the tick arrow to register your vote.

We hope you find this a useful new feature and if you have any comments/problems please let us know in the comments below.
NOTE: We will be adding this to our STVPlus Dashboard and Episode Database later if all goes well so that you can provide ideas and feedback for that system as well.

Cool! I can see this being used quite a bit! Can't wait to read some,or maybe not, either way this should prove interesting!
ReplyDeleteYep, hopefully it makes it a bit easier for people.
ReplyDeleteI support this fully but I don't like the hovering thing--I clicked on it and then closed it and then suddenly I couldn't use SpoilerTV- it just blacked out on me and the icon thing kept on flashing at me. I had to refresh the page and luckily it is back. Is this normal?
ReplyDeleteVery odd. Not see that. What browser and version are you using and what Operating System are you running on?
ReplyDeleteSure-- I'm using Windows XP and my browser is Chrome and it is the newest version. Another question is the icon supposed to be popping in and out the screen?
ReplyDeleteThanks. It should popup when you hover over it. I think it also hovers out when first loaded.
ReplyDeleteDo you get the issue if you go to this site
ReplyDeletehttp://www.userreport.com/
(The pop out is on the right)
Thanks Dark- it must just be this particular computer I'm using since I tried to access the site on a different computer and everything worked okay.
ReplyDeleteWhat version exactly of Chrome are you using? Stable, Beta, or Canary?
ReplyDeleteI don't know what version I have. How can you tell which is which?
ReplyDeleteIf you click on the little icon at the top right. 3 Horizonatal lines, and then click about. It should give you the version number
ReplyDeleteOh this is a great idea
ReplyDeleteThanks, hope you find it useful.
ReplyDeletethis is a great idea however when I click on it I get a lot of blinking on the site and I have to close the website and reopen it for it to stop doing that
ReplyDeleteWhat browser and version and operating system are you using?
ReplyDeleteIinternet Explorer 10 for Windows 8 and I am using Windows 8 Pro
ReplyDeleteThanks. Looks like a bug in IE10. Does it happen if you use another browser like Chrome or Firefox?
ReplyDeleteShouldn't there be a "thumbs down" button to vote against suggested ideas?
ReplyDeleteProbably :) but I don't think they support that.
ReplyDeleteWho are "they"?
ReplyDeleteI found it- Version 24.0.1312.5 beta-m took some looking around lol
ReplyDeleteThe company that provides the Feedback software.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Looks like that's the Beta version which is not officially supported.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I've emailed their support department to let them know it does not work properly in that version.
Thanks Dark for all your help and that also explains why on the other computer it worked since that was version m
ReplyDeleteAh cool. Hopefully they will fix it for all version :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea, but I don't like it hovering there on the left side, it keeps blocking the words/titles of the articles I go into on this site and there isn't anyway to disable it. Maybe switch it to the right side or put it as a button at the top would be my only suggestion.
ReplyDeleteWe've moved it now to the right based on feedback. Is that better for you?
ReplyDeleteCool, much better for me, thank you.
ReplyDeleteCool :) Seems most people prefer it that side :)
ReplyDeleteThis is also the same problem I had with IE on Windows 8 it's a better way to describe it then blinking
