Well done guys! Sorry again for missing a couple of letters *red face* Hope you enjoyed it though, I'm planning to run a few smaller ones next week which will be easier to keep track of letters. Here's the completed hangman.
A stranger to Camelot is not who he seems to be; the unspoken word gives him away eventually. Meanwhile, the priestess shows that she has learnt from her past mistakes, but without the full picture her well thought out plan is doomed. Arwen fans may be left as frustrated as the magic reveal ones were a few weeks ago as the will they/won’t they show the first kiss of the season moment is teased….more than once.

Oooohh this brings back memories of the lost days!
ReplyDeleteI voted for revealing C next
Mmh. The last word with a "k" in it is KING, right?
ReplyDeletemmmmmmm I think go with G
ReplyDeleteHaha, it does doesn't it :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought too!
ReplyDeleteI went wit the "y" because at the beginning of the word it's a good pointer for "you, your" etc.
ReplyDeleteG!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!
oh and by the way, how often will a new word be added please? :) thanks
ReplyDeleteI think Sandi is planning on adding 2 per day if she has time. So you should see the next one tomorrow morning when she is back online. She's based in the UK
ReplyDeleteoh wow that is even better than had thought :) oh that is fine ie. time. iI am based in Malta so there is only one hour difference :)
ReplyDeleteHa cool. Hope the weather in Malta is warmer than it is here :)
ReplyDeletewell over here it's never cold to be honest. is always hot and humid :( The rain has to increase a little in frequency but temperature still ranging between 26 - 28 degrees
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I went for Y.
ReplyDeleteVery jealous :)
ReplyDeletewell the feeling is quite reciprocate I can assure you, I would love to have more of the UK weather instead of having summer-like climate all year round...
ReplyDelete** a**** ***r**** ***t*** **w*** h** ** y*** k*** k****** a** h***
ReplyDeleteNot revealing my comment until it's over. #Payback lol
It will depend on how busy I am here at home really, lol. But as Andy says, I'm planning on two updates a day.
ReplyDeleteHaha, hmmmmm, gimme a lil while and I'll see what I come up with :p :)
ReplyDeleteoh that is great really, thanks a real lot :)
ReplyDeleteNo worries, I'm glad people like the idea :)
ReplyDeleteoh yes, I love it... because apart form learning something new, it takes your mind off the waiting hehe :)
ReplyDeleteMy best guess is something like:
ReplyDeleteIf a**** scarcely contain vowels how do you know k****** aim here
I need more letters, or time, to get any further :p fun thou :)
That word on the third line must be 'magic'?
ReplyDelete4th word in must be Camelot.
ReplyDeleteYeah, so so far we have "A *****g** ** Camelot ** ***
ReplyDelete*** ** ***** ** **; *** *****k** **** g**** *** **** **********. *********, ***
********* ***** **** *** *** ****** **** *** **** *****k**, *** ******* ***
**** **c**** *** **** ****g** *** **** ** ******. ***** **** *** ** **** **
********** ** *** magic ****** **** **** * *** ***k* *g* ** *** **** ****/***’*
**** **** *** ***** k*** ** *** ****** ****** ** ******…..**** **** **c*."
With that k*** as maybe 'King' and then then *g* would have to be 'age' or 'ago' or 'egg' but that seems unlikely. I am almost guessing the last word might be 'back' but that is just a wild guess.
I love a puzzle so my current guess is this:
ReplyDeleteA *****g** in Camelot ** *** *** ** ***** ** **; his attacker must guide the **** **********.
*********, *** ********* ***** **** *** *** ****** **** *** **** attacker, ***
******* *** **** **c**** *** **** ****g** *** **** ** ******. ***** **** *** **
**** ** ********** ** *** magic ****** **** **** I *** weeks ago ** *** ****
****/***’* **** **** *** ***** king ** *** ****** ****** ** ******…..**** Gwen back.
I think its ago, there's not many 5 letter words with k in that position and even fewer that make sense with either ago or age (I agree egg is unlikely!).
Good thoughts, though it can't be those 'attackers' or 'Gwen' because there was no G or c revealed in those spots.
ReplyDeleteGood point, thanks. Maybe 'mistakes' or 'provoked' then?
ReplyDeleteIt also can't be king because there is a space in the "k* *g". I also went with "weeks ago" before coming here , like you said: not to many options there. ;) I think the last word with a "k" in it could be "kill". Also the beginning could be "A stranger in Camelot"?
ReplyDeleteEDIT: I think it also says "a few weeks ago"
ReplyDeleteOoo, 'A stranger in camelot' would fit well.
ReplyDeleteFor the K*** all I could think of were keep, kill or kind.
Keen, keep, kept keys, kept, kids, kill, kind, kiss, knee, knew, knot.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking kill as its the most dramatic but it all depends on context of which we have very little!
Ooh yes, that sounds very convincing. If so, it'd probably be 'A stranger in Camelot is....'
ReplyDeleteGOT IT! (The first part) "A Stranger in Camelot is not all he seems to be;" Seems kinda obvious now considering that's usually the case in Merlin!
ReplyDeleteThat seems perfect, I can't wait for the I's to be put up because I have a lot of guesses for the rest.
ReplyDeleteHehe, we all play nice together, don't you guys think? :D
ReplyDeleteThis far using what all of you have guessed so far, this is my current guess, though I am sure some are wrong "A stranger to Camelot is not all he seems to be; *** provoked
ReplyDelete**** gi*** *i* **** **********. ******i**, *** **i****** ***** **** *** ***
****** **** *** **** mistakes, *** *i***** *** **** **c**** *** **** ****g** *** **** i* ******. *****
**** *** ** **** ** ********** ** *** magic
****** **** **** a few weeks ago ** *** *i** ****/***’* **** **** *** *i*** kill
** *** ****** ****** i* ******…..**** **** **c*."
7 letter word with 'ic' could be victory. Or dictate or picture but victory sounds like it might fit best. I also think the 5 letter word starting with gi is given/gives.
ReplyDeleteGaaaah, we wants more letters, precious! :D :D
ReplyDeleteTeam work is the way to go with puzzles like these I think, we used to have great fun with the LOST ones Andy would set :)
ReplyDelete;)
ReplyDeleteWow Iam impressed with your deduction skills.
ReplyDeleteSandi, sweetie, I know I need glasses, but... I for one can't see the three "D's". :)
ReplyDeleteSorry hun, just edited it. I'm a doofus :(
ReplyDeleteYeah, gives/given seems like a good bet, though the ic can't be victory because there is no y in that word.
ReplyDeleteRight now I have "A stranger to Camelot is not all he seems to be; *** *****k** **** gives *i* ***y *********y. ******i**, *** **i****** ***** **** *** *** ****** **** *** **** mistakes, *** *i***** *** **** *ic**** *** **** ****g** *** **** i* d*****. ***** **** **y ** **** ** ********ed ** *** magic ****** **** **** a few weeks ago** *** *i** ***y/***’s ***y **** *** *i*** kill ** *** ****** ****** i* *****d…..**** **** **c*."
Some guesses I have for some of the words:
*ic**** - Picture is all I can think of that fits
****g** - Maybe insight or resigns
None of the main character names seem to be in it given the letter we have and spaces.
And I am addicted to this. *smiles* Thanks for adding them, hun! :) Now off to brood some more...
ReplyDeleteOK, not making too much progress or rather, still have several options for too many words. But I think this is pretty save:
ReplyDeletei* d*****. = in danger.
See what you can do with it. :)
I'm afraid it can't as we've already had g. There's quite a few 6 letter d words but no c,g or i does rule a lot of them out. My best guess so far is 'in defeat'. Could also be 'ends in defeat'.
ReplyDeleteA stranger to Camelot is not all he seems to be; the unbroken **** gives him ***y *********y.
ReplyDelete******i**, the **i****** ***** **** *** the Sarrum **** *** past mistakes, the *i***** *** **** picture *** **** ****g** *** ends in defeat. ***** **** loyal **** ** *********d to use magic ****** when just a few weeks ago he *** **** deny/she’d ***y **** her *i*** kill ** *** ****** ****** is ******…..**** **** **c*.
My current guesses. Apart from the first bit (up to the semi colon), they're only my best speculation. Thought I'd post in case it helps (or so people can tell me which ones have to be wrong!) I'm quite confident about unbroken, it can only be that or unspoken as its definitely not a 'ked' ending.
This has been keeping me entertained on my coffee breaks, thanks!
Some thoughts, it can't be meanwhile because there is no I revealed and where you have loyal I think it is actally '**y **' two words with a space in between.
ReplyDeleteI would lean more towards Fewer just because power would be an odd start to the sentence.
I don't really have anything helpful to add. I want more letters.
Your wish is my command, a few more letters have been added :)
ReplyDeleteWhy not meanwhile? There is an 'i' there. You're definitely right about loyal though. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAfter the last reveal it can't be either fewer or power. I can't find any words where the rw would fit so I think it might be a name.
I've updated my post with the new bits I might have figured out. Pretty sure the last bit is right but who knows about the rest!
Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteI must have read it wrong and not seen the 'I'.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I am going with now
"A stranger in Camelot is not who he seems to be; the unspoken **** gives him ***y everybody. Meanwhile, the poisonous ***w* t*** *** *** l***** **** her past mistakes, but without *** **** picture *** w*** ****g** *** **** i* d*****. Arwen fans may be **** ** frustrated to see magic return **** just a few weeks ago ** was will they/won’t they know *** fi*** kits ** she ****** ****** is tested…..more than once."
I am really not sure what it could be other than Arwen.
Yup, I'm going with Arwen. I was thinking it was dialogue or a blurb about the episode. I wasn't expecting fan words to be in there.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly, I've gone with some slightly different words to some of yours.
A stranger to Camelot is not who he seems to be; the **s**k** that gives him away eventually. Meanwhile, *** p*i*****s ***w* t*** *** *** l***** **** her past mistakes, but without *** **** picture *** w*** ****g** *** **** in defeat. Arwen fans may be **** be frustrated at the magic reveal **** **** a few weeks ago ** *** will they/won’t they ***w *** final kiss ** the ****** ****** is teased…..more than once.
I think return might make more sense than reveal, but who knows.
I meant to add 'in defeat' as well, that just seems right.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I kind of feel like return fits in the sentence structure a bit better, but it is really just a guess at this point. And, yeah 'kiss' makes way more sense than 'kits' I was at a loss as to what to point and did not think about the fact that it could be another s.
Well, a few weeks ago must be the Disir and Merlin had a prime opportunity to reveal his magic. But you could also argue that it was a chance to return magic to the land so...
ReplyDelete"A Stranger in Camelot is not who he seems to be; .... Foreshadowed ... The magic reveal... A few weeks ago it was will they/won't they show.... More than once."
ReplyDeleteNo idea + Wishful thinking.
A stranger in Camelot is not who he seems to be; the mistakes **** gi***
ReplyDeletehim ***y everybody. Meanwhile, the poisonous ***w* t*** *** *** l***** **** her
past mistakes, but without the full picture *** w*** ****g** *** ends in defeat.
Arwen *fans may also be frustrated to see magic return **** just a few weeks
ago it was will they/won’t they show/know the first/final kiss of the ******
****** is teased…..more than once.
Arwen fans may be just as frustrated by the magic reveal when just a few weeks ago it was will they /won't they show the first kiss in the ****** ****** i* t****d more than once
ReplyDeleteHehe, nice summary of the guesses.
ReplyDeleteIt can't be 'was' here "...weeks ago it was..." as we've been given all the w's already so we know it's some other word. These are the letters we've had all of: Y i c k g d
The other letters we've been given are just random.
yeah I think that seems close, but it can't be "when just a few weeks" because there is no W shown for the when.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but it can't be "foreshadowed" because there is no internal d or w given.
ReplyDeleteNo, thinking about it that way reveal would make sense.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, thinks for putting this hangman spoiler together for us, it has been a lot of fun to try to figure out!
ReplyDeleteThe only words I can make out are "Magic Reveal" but then again those are the only words I care about!!!!
ReplyDeleteOops you are right first kiss can't be right either I don't know what else can go before kiss
ReplyDeleteI think it is either first kiss or final kiss. We've been given all instances of Y i c k g d. Letters like s, p, e, m have been given randomly so there's a chance there's more of them in there.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome :) I am setting up a few for next week, they will be more traditional hangman reveals again I hope. Time has been against me the last few days, plus we didn't start until halfway through the week.
ReplyDeleteSo close!
ReplyDeleteA stranger to Camelot is not who he seems to be; the unspoken *w** gi*** him ***y eventually.
Meanwhile, the priestess ***w* that *** *** l****t *r** her past mistakes, but without the full picture her w*** thought *** p*** is d*o***. Arwen fans may be left as frustrated as the magic reveal over w*** a few weeks ago as the will they/won’t they ***w *** first kiss of the season moment is teased…..more than once.
Still a few gaps and a couple of bits that don't quite make sense, but it's nearly there!
...meanwhile,
ReplyDeletethe priestess shows that she has learnt from her past mistakes...
Fits perfectly! :)
ReplyDeleteGives him away eventually
ReplyDeleteIt would make sense, but all the 'w's have been put in already so unless one got missed out there's no w there.
ReplyDeleteGah, I've put a W in the wrong place, one min and I'll edit. Sorry x
ReplyDeleteA stranger to Camelot is not who he seems to be; the unspoken
ReplyDeleteword gives him away eventually. Meanwhile, the pristress shows that she has
learnt from her past mistakes, but without the full picture her well thought
out plan is doomed. Arwen fans may be left as frustrated as the magic reveal ones
were a few weeks ago as the will-they/won’t-they-show-the-first-kiss-of-the-season
moment is teased…..more than once.
Ooh! Thanks! (I can see how it would be so easily done!)
ReplyDeleteGreat, so it is doomed and away.
Good lili but when I read the last part it sounds like Arwen fans are still waiting for the first kiss instead of we are all teased about the magic reveal like how the Arden fans were teased with the will they wont they kiss, there has got to be a subtle word difference that makes it change the meaning
ReplyDeleteHopefully doing smaller ones this week will help eliminate mistakes, the text was a lot to go through when I was pushed for time.
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing it was doodah now, fab word tbh! lol
I'm not sure to get exactly what you mean. But I don't mean that Arwen fans are waiting for the first kiss but the first of the season (because, if I am not mistaken, they haven't kissed yet this season). Anyway, right now I can't really think of anything else but any suggestion is welcome.
ReplyDeleteyeah I think it's the Druid boy too.
ReplyDeleteI think the unspoken word giving him away must mean that someone overhears the stranger plotting against Arthur using telepathic speech. I wonder if its the druid boy who then has a change of heart?
ReplyDeleteThere was a spoiler that Merlin himself also uses telepathic speech this episode, presumably with the druid boy.
I edited my post after sandi updated oops sorry I was wrong I thought the teaser was talking about fans being frustrated by the none magical reveal, I didn't realise anyone was bothered by gwen and Arthur kissing, they are married I thought they would be kissing all the time anyway?
ReplyDeleteYeah they are probably kissing as they are now married, but it hasn't been showed yet. Arwen fans are probably frustrated by that.
ReplyDeleteHe kissed her on the forehead he other week
ReplyDeleteNobody is ever happy! The episodes are only 43ish minutes, not long enough for everything all the fans want. They're married now, and there's enough hints of intimacy (Gwen kissing Arthur on the forehead etc.), and Arthur angsting his way to the Dark Tower to show their love. Besides the lack of an actual kissing scene I don't see what the Arwen fans have to be frustrated about.
ReplyDeleteThanks sandi, I really enjoyed this- even though i got no where near to solving it! :D
ReplyDeleteMaybe because he spends most of the episodes lusting after merlin lol
ReplyDeleteI think some of them may become frustrated at how it's teased in the episode, the same way the magic reveal fans were teased when Merlin could (should) have said magic was good to Arthur the other week, but didn't.
ReplyDeleteoooh bit re fans is indeed. hope they leave the kiss for the next episode, hopefully it will break the spell :)
ReplyDeleteBut surely if they are married they would have kissed in the past few weeks, it would have to be more than a kiss that breaks the spell? Maybe Arthur has to be willing to give his life up for Gwen a sign of true love? But then Arthur gives his life up for his knights every week, can't be that easy, maybe merlin has to reveal his magic to help gwen?
ReplyDeleteI'm really annoyed they have left it so late for a magic reveal they can't possibly do it well now
