  1. It's not exactly a full season pick-up, but it's still good news, so I'll take it!

  2. While we're talking about ABC comedies, why not talk about a much better one (*jab* :p) : why has ABC ordered more episodes for every single one of its 13-episode comedies (those two + The Neighbors)... except season 2 of Don't Trust the B ?

Because of the dreadful live ratings (1.7, 1.2, 1.1 & 0.9 on A18-49) ? Perhaps. But given that its lead-in Happy Endings (which isn't doing much better, btw : 1.8, 1.4, 1.3, 1.1) has a full 22-episode order, I expected ABC to order 3 more episodes of Don't Trust the B.

Season 2 will have only 19 episodes : 13 episodes produced for season 2 + 6 unaired episodes from season 1 (they could only air 7 episodes in April-May '11). Why not round it up to 22, uh ?

Don't Trust the B really is a show more people should be watching : it's fast-paced, smart, funny, the cast is flawless (like Matt LeBlanc with Episodes, JVDB has found his best role by playing himself), the characters are all eccentric and weird (except June (usually), played by the lovely Dreama Walker)... it's a treat to watch, really.

ABC should have sticked to its late 2011/2012 schedule for Wednesdays : Suburgatory at 8:30 (the show was doing very well there and not much better now with a bigger lead-in), Modern Family at 9 and Don't Trust the B at 9:30.

My hopes for the show going beyond season 2 are not high (Happy Endings having another season doesn't seem likely either, although ABC could keep one of the two I guess), hopefully they will order 3 more episodes and air all of season 2, that would be swell.

  3. Does apartment 23 also have 6 episodes from last season making it 19 ep season 2?
