Despite ABC pulling the plug on the freshman dramas last week, the brains behind both shows tell TVLine that they were given enough time to turn their respective swan songs into series finales. “We have time to tweak,” confirms Last Resort creator Shawn Ryan, adding that Episode 13 will indeed function as a full-fledged series finale.

I actually wanted to give both shows up... now I'm thinking about watching the remaining episodes...
ReplyDeleteOh thank God there won't be a cliffhanger!
ReplyDeleteThat's excellent, and good for ABC (even though I hate that they cancelled them) for giving them enough time to turn the last episode into a series finale.
ReplyDeletethat's sounds good b/c without closure I would go mad
ReplyDeleteThey've both probably know they were being cancelled for months now, given how low they went in the first 2 or 3 episodes maybe they knew they weren't going to last from the get go pretty much?
ReplyDeleteThat's really great!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you, ABC. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've wanted a dark supernatural soap-type drama ever since Point Pleasant was canceled. 666 Park Avenue was even better than Point Pleasant, and even though it's getting canceled it's at least getting a conclusion. And my mom has been trying to get me to watch Last Resort, now that I know it's getting a real ending I will do so.
ReplyDeleteThat is very nice and great too!!Thank you ABC so much :)
ReplyDeleteStill very sad about Last Resort but that's definitely something.A cliffhanger would drive me crazy!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear. Nothing worse than having no ending at all. Now I can watch LR and not worry I will be left hanging!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for at least a full season and a wrap up for LR as I wasn't sure how the scope and concept of the show would work past a season, but I am thankful that both shows will get a chance to tie things up for everyone....
ReplyDeletegood news for the fans! :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad that both shows will end properly. Sad that Last resort is ending, but at least it won;t (hopefully) leave us hanging.
ReplyDeleteShawn Ryan said, even before the premier, that all of the mysteries would be wrapped up by the end of season one, that the premise of the series would change, after that, to become an extended story about Captain Chapman's attempt to rule the island once it was established, in the season one finale, that no, they're never ever going to get to go back. So, yes, this series was designed from the get-go to not screw the fans if it didn't get picked up.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see 666PA will give closure. There aren't too many plots open to close, so it should work well :)
ReplyDeletei Loved it when the blonde kept getting locked in the basement somehow all the time, lol...like now she's really locked in the basement....lets see how many more times she gonna get locked in or maybe that will be the Series Finale....."Poor Jane Locked Forever in the Basement", lol...☺...
ReplyDeleteAwesome.. it's about time the networks did something right for the fans. Still upset Last Resort is not getting a full 22ep run but at least it gives the fans, cast and crew closure on the show and story. I know we are all sick of shows with an in-depth plot being pulled and leaving us all furious we invested time in a show just to be let down because they won't pay for a final to be written and filmed.
ReplyDeleteLast Resort was beyond excellent. So sad to see it go.
