Go On - Matthew Perry urges viewers to stop watching

Not really.

Well, I'm going to go against the opinion of the star of Go On and urge you to start watching his show. 10 episodes have aired so far (12 more to go this season), and it's been a pleasure to watch them : there's a great writing that produces great, funny characters full of potential unfolding each week with coherence (through callbacks and references) and harmony (great repartition of the 'centrics' between the 11 (!) supporting players), Matthew Perry is excellent and the supporting cast is fantastic - notably Brett Gelman (as the mysterilarious Mr K.), who you can see in the video.

I knew it'd be good when I watched the Upfronts trailer, and my expectations were exceeded. Definitely my top new comedy of the season, a must-see each week (for instance, even if I have sympathy for the cast, I can't say that I have the same envy to watch Ben & Kate when the episode arrives).

  1. I loved this so much better than Rainn Wilson's, tbh. This one was actually funny and I laughed several times.

Go On is my favorite new TV show this year. It's so good and I love the friendships between the group, like Anne and Ryan.

Such a good show and I'm excited for it to hopefully get a second season.

  2. I also encourage people to start watching Go On (it's a good show) but at the same time I'd like to urge all of these shows to stop perpetuating this ridiculous new meme.

  3. This is getting ridiculous. August T. Jones is right. TAAHM is crap and everyone should stop watching. Just saying.

  4. Go On is one of the funniest shows of the season rivaled only by the mindy project. Every episode and I mean every episode is laugh out loud funny. A recent episode inluded a brady bunch moment. I am still laughing about the Why Peter and not Greg comment. Go On is a do not miss series. Matthew Perry is superb in this role mugh lighter than his guest appearnce on The Good wife.

  5. Whether or not the show is any good is far from being the point. He was disrespectful to everyone who works on it. Calling it filth is a huge insult to the entire cast and crew. Especially considering how much he gets paid for every episode.

  6. Probably just a publicity stunt anyway.

  7. I personally hate the show, but I see your point; it was disrespectful to his co-workers and the crew. I'm sure if he wasn't under a contract, he would leave the show. I think he just said all that to try to get fired.

  8. I stopped after the third episode.
