to absorb the blackness (blotting usually refers to ink and paper)
If Peter would still be kinetically connected to the machine, this is the episode by it's end I would expect him to "disappear" from the amber time line and return home. -The paper blotting could also refer to the 'scripture' pages too, and the idea that Peter keeps getting 'wiped' or blotted (erased) from some history one way or another. It also then would play to a "reversed" black hole, where in stead of absorbing light, it absorbs black...darkness.
If not that, then this is the episode where major enlightenment occurs and/or Peter's/Observers darkness is lifted.
Blotter paper is also a type of paper they use to administer LSD. So this may allude to another off the cuff type episode usually reserved for the 19th but in the 9th due to the short season. Two of the past 19th eps were drug related.
I am thinking that you are right in that respect. Although I don't think it will be TOO off the cuff, seeing as it's the final season and they can't (well, shouldn't) stray too far from the meta-story. Here's to hoping!
Ah so true! I agree it could again be drug related (especially considering this experience could be considered a bad "trip", as one of those episodes was right before Peter wnet in the machine), it could also be time line game changer as both 1x19 and 4x19 are. Whatever it is, it seems like something going to change.
someone had asked Joel if they were going to have an episode that would be like a 19th episode. Joel answered that if there was an episode that was going to be like a 19th is would be the 9th episode.
I remember you telling me that (: -It's one reason I am excited because those episodes either change what we know or give bigger insights! :D (and half the time their drug related!)
Yep,i can't wait for it either,it will be very exciting! It seems impossible that it could get any better than what we saw in 5.07.It was a brilliant episode, with some outstanding acting by Peter,Walter and Nina.I loved every second of it,and it left me reeling..I'm about to watch it again.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
