    Dexter is really screwing up and now it's starting to piss me off. It's bad enough that he's sleeping with someone whom he had on his table (and now knows his secret) but now he's basically choosing her over his own sister. Where's his loyalty?

    You don't choose some crazy murderer over your own sister and if that sister is keeping your serial-killing a secret you don't tell her no when she asks you to kill somebody.

    I think his answer has to be "no", although not really a "Hannah over Deb" thing as much as him killing at her request makes her guilty of first degree murder - something I'd think Dexter would like her to avoid.

    Deb is already (potentially) guilty of second degree murder under Florida law when she witnessed Dexter stab Travis Marshall, did nothing to help, then covered it up. She's also already guilty of a handful of other related crimes. It makes no sense that Dexter would say no for legal reasons.

    But it shouldn't be that difficult of a decision, nor should it take him so long to make it. Debra has stood by Dexter and protected him even though he's a serial killer. Taking his sister's side should be an instantaneous no-brainer.

    She may be an accessory after the fact on Travis' murder, but she will be 100% guilty of first degree murder in a death penalty state. She will be morally and logically a murderer. Covering up a murder is not the same. There's a give there that's way past the line.

    At this point it doesn't matter because she's also complicit in all of the killings that have occurred since then. It all adds up to life in prison. At this point, a life sentence and a needle is just splitting hairs. Any line in question has been crossed.

    Besides the logic behind it all, there's no way that Dexter is saying no because he's looking out for Deb. It's pretty clear from watching that he's not thinking straight at all. Even in the promo he says he didn't kill Hannah because he has feelings for her.

    I think he just genuinly likes Hannah and it's not the matter of who over who.And talking of a murderer,Dex is a one too.Infact if you ask me Deb is being the hypocrite here.She never accepted Dex's dark side but now that it's for he own benifet she is all of a sudden okay with it?And even asking Dex to Kill with out any real proof.

    The fact that he likes her is a problem, not a justification. Also, Deb isn't being a hypocrite and isn't all of a sudden okay with it. Three episodes ago, Debra sat in a car with Dexter and watched a chimney as Ray Speltzer burned to ashes and she was glad about it. That's pretty damn accepting.

    So what Dexter can't like someone because he is too tied up to his dear sister?He can't have a life?The fact that Dex genuinly feels something for somone for the first time in his life is actually a huge thing for him,for someone who never feels anything.And though she is a killer,she as Dex said accepts his both sides.
    Uhhh NO it would be accepting if she accepts Dex's dark side completely and not just feel glad when he kills someone whom she hates or wants dead.That's called hypocrisy

    First, Dexter had feelings for both Lumen and Rita. This isn't the first time for any of that. Second the fact that he's involved with an unstable wacko is the Lila situation all over again. He should know better.

    That's what Dexter thinks and what Dexter thinks has been proven wrong on many occasions and this will be another.

    To start, that's not really hypocrisy. It's a double standard. Second, Debra fully accepting what Dexter does would make her almost as mentally unhinged as Dex. Debra is as accepting of Dexter as any sane person could possibly be. Probably even more so.

    He liked both Lumen and Rita i agree but never said something "love" did he?
    And Please Lila was a pyscho bitch who almost ruined Dexter's relationship with Rita,She was a Bitch.So Hannah might be a killer but she is nothing like that crazy Bitch Lila.
    The only time Dex was wrong about his feelings was Lila.I don't remember many times.
    Okay double standard,do you think its any better than Hypocrisy?Uhh i don't think so,she witnessed a kill infront of her eyes helped cover it up and is protecting a serial killer,wouldn't that make her as mentaly unhinged as Dex?All i'm saying is that if she really wants justice,she is the luitenent and can for sure find a way to bring justcie to a guy she barely knew.
    Just leave this double standard as you said behind.

    I think his chance of being happy with Hannah are 0 and less. She is a killer. She kills because she likes to, not because she has to. And she is not channeling it to murders, like Dex. She killed that woman all this years ago. She killed her husband and this old lady to take over her house and business. And who knows how many others. Now she killed this author so he won't write a book about her.
    She kills innocents from selfish reasons. She is the opposite of Dexter. It could never work.

    Yeah ofcourse she is a killer,and she kills because she enjoys it.But trust me that's what Dexter kills for.He doesn't really care if he is saving humanity by killing the bad guys.he does it only to remain save.And honestly Dex doesn't really give a shit if she's a killer.So....
    He is a killer and she is a killer,they love each other and knows each others secret and look out for each other.They can't seem to stay away from each other.need i say that Dex feels home when he is with Hannah.Dexter said he is in love with her,coming from dexter that is a BIG thing.
    So yeah Dex is and can be happy with Hannah if Deb would just leave them alone.

    True. Of course Dex enjoys his killings too. And his motive is definitely not saving humanity. I absolutely agree.

    But the difference between them is, that he has a code: Don't kill innocents. Make sure your next project is a killer (rule no. 2 and 3). Hannah doesn't have a code. She doesn't care who she kills. I don't know if Hannah has a Dark Passenger like Dex. Dex does and he can't fight the urge to kill. Hannah seems like a sociopath sometimes (she didn't blink with one eye when he tried to kill her – she challenged him). Sometimes she seems normal (when she was talking about Argentina, when she was admiring the snow or his kids – although it could be an act). But if she has a DP like Dex, she kills all the time. Like Dex. She has to. And then we talk more than 3 or 4 victims. Besides: if he wants to get rid of someone that is not a killer, he tries to make it without killing. Like he tried with Louis and Price. But she goes straight for the kill.

    "Dex doesn't really give a shit if she's a killer" Well, true. But he's not the type to watch her kill someone innocent, just because they're both killers and understand each other. He killed Miguel (who was his protégé for a while) cause he killed an innocent. He killed his own brother because he wanted to kill Deb (or wanted Dex to kill her, it's the same).

    Even if Dex would love her, what would he do if she goes (for example) for Deb or Astor?

    Trust me, Dex could never be happy with someone (a killer) that is not following his code. Not for long. Lila didn't know that he was a killer in the beginning, but she felt the darkness in him – it was like her own. When she killed Doakes and tried to kill the kids he finished her. Miguel was his friend and student and they trusted each other. When Miguel killed that innocent woman Dexter finished him. He probably didn't care about the hookers his brother killed. And he would probably love nothing more than have his real brother by his side. But when he tried to kill Deb … Lumen was different. She killed the monsters that tortured and killed 12 other woman and wanted to kill her next. When it was over she stopped. With her he was happy.

    "If Deb would just leave them alone"? Honey, Deb is a pureblooded cop. She could never let a killer go. Yes, I know what you think: She let Dex go. But Dex is her brother and she needed a while, but she understands the code he's living by: Sometimes the police can't stop all the criminals and killers go free. He kills killers, that is why she is tolerating it. I believe that, if Dex would kill innocent people, Deb would arrest or kill him. Or kill herself because she couldn't live with it.

    I agree she does kill innocent people.And i'm not defending that.But she got into it when she was only 15,she didn't have anyone to teach her a CODE,all she had was that sociopath boyfriend.While Dexter had someone who understood how he was and taught him a code.

    If Hannah had someone like Harry,she might have turned differently,But whats done can't be undone.She seems to love Dexter and even got ready to give an interview to the writer whatever his name was for Dexter.She would never have done that.Cz she knew that writer had nothing on her.She did it so that Dexter would stay out of it,though she did end up killing him.

    So what i'm saying is that she loves Dexter enough to change,if Dexter asks her to and teaches her the Code,she than may not kill innocents and the kill the bad guys with Dexter,cz i think she only wants to kill.

    I don't know if the story she told about killing her husband was true or not but i don't think she would go for Deb or Dexter's kids,as long as she loves him.

    Lila was a fucking psycho bitch.She never really understood Dexter nor his darkness.She tried to kill his kids,steal him away from Rita and made Dexter feel like a lost child.She deserved to die,even if dexter hadn't i would have.She only saw his dark side.She never wanted a normal life,she wanted Dexter's dark side to take over completely.Same is the case with his brother he too only wanted or saw Dexter's dark side and never accepted his good side.He wanted him to turn into full time serial killer klling innocents.And ofcourse he had to die,he attacked Deb.They loved Dexter's dark side and thought he wouldn't get hurt ot would let them hurt his family,Well they were wrong.They didn't understood Dexter.

    Hannah on the other hand does.She knows Dexter's family means alot to him,she knows he has a good side and can and wants to lead a normal life.She understand and accepts his both sides.So i think Dexter can be actually happy with her.

    As I said, I'm not sure she does have a DP like Dex, if she IS a sociopath. Sometimes she seems normal and quite emotional. And if she is like Dex she kills all the time, cause she can't fight the urge to kill. Like Dex can't stop. Or his brother couldn't. And if she would be like him, Dex would try to teach her his code (like he does with the kids in the books). He doesn't. So, I think she is just a disturbed person that believes killing is the easiest way to get what you want. Or to solve all your problems. Reminds me on Lila. Besides: We know of just 4 victims, could be more. But except the woman she stabbed, all the other victims came for her personal surrounding. She knew them. If a serial killer doesn't want to be caught, he finds random victims – no connections. Another prove she's not like Dex.
    His name was Sal Price. And the only reason she let him in to make that interview was, that it was the easiest way to kill him and get him out of her way. It wasn't for Dexter, it was for her. Besiedes: Dexter told her several times to leave Price to him and that he would take care of him. Killing is for her just the easiest way. I know what you 're trying to say. That if Price would publish the book, it could bring Dex into trouble, because he was sleeping with a suspect and was covering for her. True, they would check him out, but it's another question what they could prove. He wouldn't probably even lose his job. But SHE would/could get into prison. So, I believe it was more for her own sake than Dexters.

    I agree that she truly seems to have feelings for him. But I still have my doubts that they could be happy together. And again: He's not teaching her the code, so she's probably not like him. No DP, just a crazy woman that rather uses poison that finds another solution. As I said: like Lila. Hannah uses poison, Lila started a fire.

    Lila knew from the beginning about his darkness (just didn't get the whole picture). When he told his story to the group, she was only one to see that he was lying. Lila seemed to have feelings for him. I don't know if she truly loved him, or just believed she did. And when he wanted to leave her for Rita and the kids, she snapped and tried to kill them. That is why I'm afraid, Hannah could go after Deb or Harry. Especially Deb. Oh, please, don't let her kill Deb! I want her in S8!

    I agree that Brian wanted Dexter dark side to take over. I'm not sure about Lila. She never said: "Hey, let's go and kill together." But I think, Hannah my suggest something like that sooner or later. And that would be the time, when Dexter either finish her off, or stars to teach her.
