  1. Agreed. No praise there.

  2. I really don't like Meredith. And I for one am not interested in seeing her "hold her ground" with Damon or anyone else because usually the ground she's standing on is ridiculous and annoying. So unless, Damon takes to snapping her neck every time she crosses him, she can keep her "opinions" and her strong will, or whatever, to herself.

  3. The fact that Meredith gave Elena blood is the reason she's still around but it's the fact that she lied about the severity of Elena's injuries is where the fault lies.

If Meredith was honest about what she had done, Elena's friends would have taken precautions to keep her out of harms way until the blood was out of her system. Yes, Elena is still up and around because of Meredith but it's Meredith's fault that Elena is a vampire.

  4. I don't mind Meredith as long as they keep the snarky, biting dialogue going between her and Damon. It's the one thing TVD has done well as far as writing this character goes.

  5. Meredith did,
what she had to to safe Elena. If she would tell the truth about her injuries
they would call Stefan or Damon and they would give her blood. The result would be
    the same.

    And yes,
Meredith could tell she gave her blood, so they could protect Elena. But as I said
months ago: it wouldn't change anything. Becca wanted her dead. That Elena was
in the car on the street just made it easier for Becca to kill her. But if Elena was
in the house, Becca could set the house on fire, she could compel a neighbor to
break in and kill Elena in her bed while she is sleeping. She could get a gun
or bazooka and shoot thru a window to kill Elena.

    As I said. She
wanted her dead, so she would have found a way. The circumstances just made it
easier for her. But it didn't change anything.

  6. IMO results would have been different. If one of the boys had given her blood, they would have stayed around to protect her, kept her at home and safe, or at least gotten her out of the water first. It was the not knowing. Lots of people have wanted Elena dead and they didn't find a way, so it is an assumption that she would have succeeded where so many failed.

  7. Kept her at home, definitely.

But I have my doubts that they would stay as bodyguards.

They had their hands full with Klaus and Alaric.

Besides: they didn't know that Elena WAS in danger. Klaus was in a coffin (finally), Ric was bound to her (life), Elijah never had intentions of hurting her. Becca never said that she was going to kill her. Except 5 min. before she actually did it.

They had no reason to believe that she was in danger, so they had no reason to stay as bodyguards or lock her in the basement to protect her. So I have my doubts that it would change anything.

But I guess it's just another "what if…" situation.
