  2. At the "What is your favourite type of article/post that we post on SpoilerTV?" question I had to tick off the last option, "Other" and wrote in "Everything", cause I love every single options there and couldn't just pick one. I hope that will be recorded as at...

  3. I almost did that too. I like most of the features on this site. Promos, pictures, press releases, interviews, reviews/recaps - it's why I visit this site and follow it on Twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Oh that was a good idea! I wish I'd done that.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I wrote the same two things i've been asking for,for a long time now, maybe something will come of it???????

  6. In "one new feature" I've written about Fifrefox Addon, but there's one thing more I would change. In the episode database (STVPlus) something like a table of such information:
Director, Scenewriter, Ratings etc for every episode... Like it exists on every wikipedia.

  7. Thanks, I'm afraid that would simply be too much work to maintain currently. There are only so many hrs in the day and I need my beauty sleep :-)

It's been added to our ideas for future features though in case things change and we can find someone to properly maintain it

  8. Can I try to guess? No more down arrows and the contributor badges? (I vascillated on the second one) xD

    ReplyDelete
  9. Of course! you got the first one right... With the second i want my status back right next to my name where is us to be.I worked very hard for that to just have it just disappear.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Wish I would have thought of that! It was so hard to choose one!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Haha.I guessed right...my language choice didn't work...but I guessed right! (Yes, in fact, small victories do make me happy) I'm with you on both counts (although objectively in the hard-earned category, I'm in a totally different league xD). Collecting stuff is so addictive!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Yeah but this particular status is so i knew where i stood in my group. While we still had it i was the seventh person of out of the top ten.It didn't just combine our badges. But yes Isbloom,it is fun! :)

  13. Bleh, meant to write, links to the shows shown by the characters in the header. I keep clicking on Olivia hoping to go to the fringe section and then being disappointed.

    ReplyDelete
  14. :( Confused now. The little square/rectangular badge next to your Disqus name on your posts? With top 10, top 50, top 250 on it? That's not what we're talking about? I don't know what "groups" are. (I kinda want in though!)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I was hoping for an addendum to the 'do you use the iphone app and browser extension' questions so I could be a little more specific. (I abandoned both.)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yes, I miss the top 50, top 250 thing...but I think that's disqus and not spoilertv so I didn't mention it.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Isbloom i'm sorry,i will need to finish this up tomorrow,i'm pretty tired and not making much sense! Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  18. I thought it was Badgeville...like if you go to Features List and check your Badgeville Stats. Shows what I know--nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm not sure how the pieces fit together exactly. But we lost the Top # when disqus did an upgrade. IIRC

    ReplyDelete
  20. Could you explain in detail what features/reasons etc that made you decide to stop using it? Was there a particular bug/missing feature etc

    ReplyDelete
  21. We're not able to do that as people can use their own headers.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes, that is correct. That was purely a Disqus feature that they seem to have abandoned and is obviously out of our control.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's was a Disqus only feature, totally unrelated to Badgeville. Disqus have discontinued that feature.

  24. "One thing to add on STV"
    Our own personal tv schedule
With our time zone Eg :-

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh,that's to bad, thanks! Now i can stop bringing it up!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Awesome. Thanks. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Thank you for the clarification. I know some of us have sent Disqus comments about the down arrow feature, if we wanted to petition to get this back too, do you know what we should call it when we write Disqus?

    ReplyDelete
  28. If you call it downvote or dislike then they should now what you mean :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yeah, I was sad when they disappeared, I thought it was an integration with the new Disqus thing, so I had hope they could fix it. Unfortunately, it looks like SpoilerTV has no control over that type of stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Sorry, I meant the top # badges/contributor tags (see I have no idea what to call them). Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ah, those were called "Ranks". Disqus informed me that those will not be returning in their current form.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thank you so much!

    ReplyDelete
  33. You forgot the tumblr follow option cause that's what I do.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Where is that picture you posted from?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sure.

I had to stop using Chrome for a while because of what, turned out to be issues with discus since they've disappeared over the last couple of Disqus updates, and there were features that didn't work when I used it with Chromium. I've returned to using Chrome and am having some refresh issues, but I haven't had time to check that I have the latest version.

The iPhone app, is just data overload. I can't quickly clear out messages I've read on the website...and not being able to see the comments (97% of why I spend the time I do on the site) just kinds of means...wait until I'm where I can use my web browser.

    ReplyDelete
  36. The mobile site is a chore to navigate to a specific show page.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks, we'll make sure we add it when we do our next survey

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yep, it's not ideal. What I do is to bookmark the shows I'm interested in so that I have a bookmark for each show.

    eg
    http://www.spoilertv.com/search/label/Fringe

    or
    http://www.spoilertv.com/search/label/The%20Walking%20Dead

I have these on my phones homescreen so I can quick view them

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thanks for the feedback.

You might be better off using the mobile version of the site which supports comments.

  40. For the last question I suggested having some kind of 'tracker', such as the system they have over at Sidereel. Is this something that has been discussed before?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Can you expand on that idea? What sort of tracker? What does it do?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Thinking about it, it might not really work here where we dont have personal accounts. But the idea is you can track whichever shows you are watching, and they come up in a personal list telling you which episodes you have seen and which you have yet to see. I always used to just use Notepad to make my own little schedule and tick episodes off as I watched them, but Sidereel does it for you.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks Stu. You're right it's not something we really can do here and I'm not sure there would be enough demand for it to warrant the development time and money I'm afraid.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yeah, I realise that now.D'oh! I'll think of something else for my one new feature. Haha :-)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yeah it's a good alternative. Just a suggestion :) Thanks for the reply.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Some of these questions were too hard to answer in the "choose only 1" type answers.
"Favorite show", shooud be "favorite show(s)" and fave type of article/posts shouldnt be a "pick 1 only" type answer.

As for things I want to see added, I'll post these publicly as well so others can maybe think of that too....
    - I would PREFER to know as soon as I get onto your site if I am logged in or not already. As it is now, I have to scroll over the "Start" tab to find out (and for whatever reason, often the case is I'm not anymore...never used to be the case).
    - As a stats fan, I'd like to maybe be able to see on my profile or others, what shows the most often visit/comment on etc.
