    Finally Dean notices that Sams hair is growing WILD!
    I wonder why they leave it two inches longer ever season. Maybe it's the point that by the time season 12 comes out Sams will be able to full on headbang at a Jethro Tull concert or something... otherwise I'm at a total loss.

    Am I the only one who thinks Sam's hair doesn't really match his personality? It should be long but not that long and even more so given that he's just lived a year of normal. I just feel that it should be shorter and neater.

    Jared gave a reason about the long hair. Kripke said in Season 2 that Sam's hair was supposed to grow longer and Dean's was to stay short. Jared likes it long. Robert Singer had him cut it because an FBI agent would not have it as long as he did have it.

    I thought this for a while, but I'm starting to reconsider. Longer hair wouldn't go with Lawyer Sam, but it would go with Geek Sam. And the Hollywood style lately seems to be longer, curlier hair on men. It's not my taste though, although I think Jared looks good in some of the more recent photos - taken after the first few episodes were shot.

    Sam's hair is less plausible for the FBI cover than the rock aliases and Impala now. Without the Bobby phone cover, they might want to think of dropping the FBI persona altogether.

    sometimes I like it sometimes I dont, sometimes it looks quite nice like in more recent pictures, but the first few episodes of this season have him looking like the one who has just come back from a year in Purgatory.

    I bet you aren't trying to pull of an FBI and federal law enforcement cover though. If Sam was posing as a hair conditioner model or romance cover, he'd be good.
