People are all butt hurt because they think Sam and Dean will be secondary characters in the episode. Yet outside of the preview and this sneak peek no-one has seen the episode.
I'm sure even if it is an awesome episode that if Dean and Sam are only in 70 percent of the scenes some people will complain
Personally, i find a change of view a great (experimental) way to shoot an episode! From the promo this might also be a scary episode (SPN needs badly one since season 1!). It is shot very similar to Blair witch project and Paranormal (kinda).
To be fair, according to spoilers, they are secondary characters in this episode. I think the episode looks interesting, but I'm not sure I can watch it. Shaky camera work usually makes me sick.
Yep, I'm one of them. Partially because I'm no fan of the "shaky cam" filming style and partially because I'm not a fan of "Ghost Hunters" or any of it's spinoffs. OTOH I love Ed and Harry in Hell House and IATL. But at least GF had more SamnDean than this episode is said to have. On the plus side Robbie T wrote this ep and I really enjoyed all his S7 eps, Also a plus is that even if this ep is supposed to be Winchester -lite at least the J's seem to appear in every scene together unlike WAB where "Dean" had twice or more of the screen time than "Sam"; I'm sorry but this continues to an issue for me.
There are secondary characters in every episode. There were I count 7 or 8 off the top of my head that speaking parts in last nights episode and 4 of them had scenes that did not include Sam or Dean.
True. Though I'm looking forward to it. I like it when they step out of the mold and try something different. But then again...I'm one of the seeming minority who loved Ghostfacers.
I'll join you in that minority. I loved Ghostfacers. I like it when the show steps out and takes the risk. It's one of the things that makes the best show on television. They aren't afraid to do it.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Episode looks promising enough
ReplyDeleteDo not know why so much negativity about it O.o

I love the Starsky and Hutch reference! XD
ReplyDeleteA lot of fans didn't like Ghostfacers, so they are preemptively disliking this for being in the same vein.

Ooh, this looks good! I can't wait for it.
ReplyDeleteseems like its going to be an interesting episode, then again I liked Ghostfacers.
ReplyDeleteInteresting way to shoot. Can't wait to see the results;)
ReplyDeleteToo bad I don't think we're gonna get our usual dose of close ups on our boys..
An episode like this will pass or fail dependent largely upon how annoying those kids and their commentary turn out to be.

I'm really loving the season.

ReplyDeleteFeeling iffy about this so far. I don't like this kind of filming and the kids will play a big role in whether I like it or not.

ReplyDeleteIf this episode serves as a break from the Sam "I don't want to hunt"/rejected Dean angst, I'm on board.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for next week!
ReplyDeleteI hated Ghostfacers *sigh*
ReplyDeleteRizzoli and Isles...lol!
