I think part of the ritual to get out of the purgatory was killing and angel by a human. I think Dean had to kill Castiel, in order to get out, and I also think He didn't have a problem with that because Castiel wasn't the same in purgatory, like he went dark or something.
Who really knows? I mean, they left it kind of open. Dean said he "saw enough", which means Cass was as good as dead, but I don't know that the writers wanted to be definitive either way. Here's hoping he's still alive and kicking, though. I'm a Cass fan. And if they DID kill him for good, it had better be a proper send-off this time... not a walk into a lake.
Uhm, Benny seemed reluctant to look for Cas. I really don't think he would have acted that way if an angel was essential to the "ritual". But hey, who knows?
Truthfully, when Dean was explaining what happened to Cas, it seemed to me like he was trying to convince himself more than Sam. Like he was making up an excuse for, say, leaving Cas in the Purgatory because you can only take one passanger to the outside world.
I thought the same thing. He seemed pretty unwilling to elaborate, which isn't all that strange for Dean, but it sounded like he was trying to justify leaving Cass behind... especially since he made a deal with a monster like Benny, maybe saving HIM, but not Cass.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
This looks awesome too! I can't wait. I'm loving this season so far.

ReplyDeleteSo who will be the ones to circumvent the auction? The Winchesters or Crowley?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look bad to me. I didn't like the premiere.. so maybe I'll like the 2nd ep more. :)
ReplyDeleteAn auction...that can't be Kevin's safe place? But yay to more Crowley!
