It's heartbreaking to end. Truly. I feel so lucky to write for these characters and tell these stories and I truly feel this show has taught me so much as a writer. And there's a family here, of crew and cast, people who have bonded over these past five and a half seasons. It's rare for a show to go for more than 100 episodes and we are incredibly proud to have been such a show. And we're grateful to all of you for spending time with us for an hour every week for the last 6 years. It's meant the world.
Thank you.

I have to say I have loved every second of Private Practice - it's always been one of my favourite shows and I've always preferred it to Grey's. Sad to see it go but I expected it.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty expected. I didn't expect it to go past the order for this season. Better to go on on a high note than a low one.
ReplyDeleteSad, but already expected...My hope is to see Amelia and Addison(With jake of course) in Grey's....
ReplyDeleteI expected this, but I'm still sad. Hate that I'm losing another show!
ReplyDeleteHopefully, Shonda has enough time to wrap the show up. Addison/Jake endgame please. And I hope Charlotte's pregnancy goes well.
I saw someone else suggest that Caterina Scorsone will probably be on GA full time by February. I hope so!
ReplyDeleteSame! I love it a little bit more than GA.
ReplyDeletePerfect time for a conclusion. I'm happy it's ending while Addison is still there.
ReplyDeleteCaterina for Grey's series regular position!
ReplyDeleteNo, this makes me sad. I mean, I expected it, but it still makes me sad. I love this show a lot and I am gonna miss Charlotte and Cooper.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting this to come finally. I'm actually disappointed that ABC didn't announce this season as (Final Season) and ended this show with class, if you know what I'm mean. I hoping for great ending but cancelation is like a slap in the face.
ReplyDeleteEven though i didn't want it to continue without Addison, my heart still skipped a beat when I saw this.
ReplyDeletethis was expected. i have loved this show since the beggining. it had its ups and highs, of course, as any other show, but at some points, i even felt it was better than greys. I always felt that it was very underrated. This being said, I was hoping they would end it after the 13 episodes, as it would not make sense to continue with the show without addison, and also because the ratings were already tanking too much and the only they would achieve would be a cancelation instead of a proper ending to all characters, which is what they will get this way. I hope they send Amelia, who has turned into my favorite PP character during her amazing season 5 storyline to Seattle Grace. She would fit there just fine and I agree with what someone said, she could be a love interest to Karev.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad but I'm not surprised. At least they are going on their own terms :)
ReplyDeleteNo! so sad :/
ReplyDeleteI heard that Shonda and ABC came to this decision mutually, and I'm pretty sure she has enough time to wrap the series up.
ReplyDeletePlus, I came into this season expecting it to be the final one. Shonda was writing the episodes like this was it already. Everyone knew, but they just weren't ready to admit it yet.
Everyone pretty much knew that this was probably the final season, especially since it only got a 13-episode pickup instead of a full season 22 episode pick up. That was the death knell for this show. Shonda had already decided that she was doing this season differently because I think she knew.
ReplyDeletenot unexpected, but didn't Kate Walsh say she was leaving after this season.
ReplyDeletethis is not unexpected. but im kinda glad it's ending given the fact that addison was leaving eventually.
ReplyDeletethe ratings were really low this season, so it's better to give this show a proper ending! although seeing Amelia on Grey's full time would not be bothering me at all tbh... :)
I'm glad. I enjoyed it while it lasted, but there is no Private Practice without Kate Walsh for me. I don't know how it would have gone on without her.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of you. The final season just sounds better than a cancellation despite good or bad way for ending the show. I was feeling that end is near (season 6). Especially when all this info about cutting short cast members allegedly for better life/work starts floating in the air earlier this few months. Tim Daly last season and Kate Walsh 13 episodes.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised just hope that it gets better because at this point I don't even care. Can Amelia please come to Seattle and safe whats left of Grey's PLEASE!
ReplyDeleteExpected and I think it's right. It's gone on long enough, now Shonda and co have time to finish it nicely :)
ReplyDeleteI'll miss Charlotte, but she can't be taken from Coop and Mason. So bring Amelia to Seattle!
