so klaus is playing a game again on his own...interesting! wondering who the five are and what's the secret about all that! also nice to see phoebe again, she's much better as a werewolf then she was as a witch at TSC! can't wait to see next ep's!!
I wonder if the five were like the first hunters maybe with some type of magic. I have a question tho when did elena get werewolf venom in her did i totally miss that part?
Great ep. A lot of plotline development and that's good. I really liked Phoebe's Haley and she looks great. Can't wait to find out about the Five and the nature of Tyler and Haley's relationship...
Great ep. Awsome. Stupid Elena, just Stupid. Again in public? And not healing the bite? And then she lost control. Everyone knew it was just a question of time. Glad Damon is there for her. True that Stefan is the wrong one to teach her dealing with her bloodlust. Can't wait for next week to see Elena and Damon at the party. But she needs to hold on to Stefan to keep hold on her humanity. On the other side … What did this Damol-Ilusion said to Elena, that she is more like him than Stefan. Damon stripping? Hot. Why didn't we get to see the rest of the show? Duty calls? Klaus couldn't care less. Besides: they were kinda living better without him. And now he is protecting the most dangerous hunter ever came to town. Why? Klaus should kill him. This hunter is the biggest threat to Klaus. Unlike the others, this hunter won't hesitate to kill him. The reason the others won't kill him is that it would also mean the death to them. The hunter doesn’t care. I'm curious to see what's going on with this group of hunters. It was a bad idea to call Klaus back. Yeah, I know. He saved Elena. And that supposed to make it up for all he's gonna do in the future? And knowing Klaus, he will leave a lot of bodies behind. Vampire poison in beer? Good thinking. What plans could Klaus possible have with Elena? I mean, she's dead, so she's useless to him. It was so good to see Matt telling Becca what he thinks. Even if it was just a delusion. She must be really desperate for a friend if she wants to help April. But one think bothers me. She was poisoned. Shouldn't it kill her? Guess not. Not so easy to kill an original. She'll probably just need time to heal. Or is werewolf poison lethal to originals as well? Cause as far as we know Klaus blood is the only cure. So he supposed to be the only one immune. Maybe it will take longer to kill Becca. Maybe Klaus will heal her next week. He's pissed at her, true. But she is still his sister.
When he tried to kill Tyler the traditional "vampire" way and failed he probably figured that he was not just a vampire. But the fact that he came to the conclusion that Ty is hybrid so quickly, means that he at least heard stories/legends about it. And yes, it's weird that he let him live. Why not killing him? He probably didn't want to destroy his source of venom.
They were probably not the first hunters. But they definitely got involved with magic. Maybe something more serious. What did Connor said? Something about him not being an average hunter?
Klaus playing games. Does that really surprise you? He never does anything else. Killing, lying, destroying, playing his psycho games. Where were you S3? These hunters must have been involved with magic. Esther probably worked form the other side. Invisible tattoos? And that is probably just the beginning. I liked the CH witches. It was a good show. Too bad it was canceled. Ever watched H2O?
Didn't have time to watch the whole episode and saw the clip if Rebekah kill Matt and I was like nooo! glad it was a hallucination (it was right?! Matty T__T). Also awesome quote by Klaus "Truth be told, I'm as evil as it gets". Going to watch it all in order tomorrow =P
Pretty good. You get a little bit of everything in this episode. - My first thought about "the five" is there are five bloodlines of mystical hunters to combat the five Michaelson children. One bloodline for each person. Probably not though. - It's a good thing pastor Young and his men rounded up all the vervain in the first episode or else compelling Matt never would have worked. Convenient, eh? - The Caroline / Stefan stuff was nice. I've always liked their dynamic. - I liked the Damon / Meredith scenes. I swear she acts like she's his big sister. - I almost felt sad for Damon when he tried to get Meredith to blow off work and go drink with him. Damon is one lonely dude right now. - Holy crap. Matt's life sucks. All he does is endure the physical and emotional pain inflicted upon him by people who are supposed to care about him. Can't he just win the lottery and move to Key West? He deserves it. - Elena is a straight-up mess. Being pulled in two directions by both brothers isn't helping things either. Although, I have to say Damon's approach to helping her is the more realistic at the moment. - So far, I'm not buying TVD's excuse for keeping Klaus around. It's pretty weak. - This was the first Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) episode. She seems pleasant enough but just window dressing so far, just like April (Grace Phipps). - Speaking of April, it looks like Rebekah tried to make a new friend after being completely awful throughout the entire episode, except for a half-assed apology to Matt. Business as usual for Rebekah. - It's nice that the show mentioned that Jeremy and Damon were talking (and that it irked Elena) but it would have been much better if we could get some scenes between those two. - Episode Score (7/10)
good episode. i have a theory now at where the season is going but i may be wrong. im think this five thing is a group of hunters with some sort of link to magic. klaus now wants elena around because she has a use now that he knows about the five. the only thing he could want elena for is her blood. couple this with klaus mentioning about how he cant make more hybrids leads me to one conclusion. i think that if klaus can gather the five he can make them do something to elena to reverse the vampire transformation allowing him to make more hybrids. i could be wrong though.
yea didnt u hear klaus talking to tyler about what he thought happend with the two lol? that would be gross as hell! I like them tho explaining where and what happend when he left, appalachin mountains thats freaking awesome!
Connor didn't seem to hunt a particular vampire. He was walking thru the town with his vervain gloves. Besides: If he knew about the originals he would have reacted somehow after Matt said Beccas name. Matt can't take vervain if Elena is feeding on him. It would poison her. Yeah, I feel sorry for Damon too. Alaric was his only friend. But Meredith? We know Damon. How long till he wants to get under her skirt? But hey, as long as his new drinking buddy isn't Klaus, everything is fine with me. Except maybe Becca. I feel sorry for Matt too. I think today was the last time Elena was drinking formhim. She almost lost control and killed him. I even don't understand how she allows it. I wouldn't allow one of my best and oldest friends to be my (how did she said it?) human blood bag. Elena loves Stefan. He is the right one to make sure she doesn't lose contact to her humanity and her real life. But now she needs Damon. Stefan can't handle his own bloodlust. Damon is the one to teach her. And I think the party is gonna be hot. I'm not buying Klaus being a good guy for a mil.sec. You? He is brilliant, true. But if they keep him just to keep him, … It won't work out. In S3 he had a purpose. He was fitting in the story. Now it's like they wanna force him into the show. Becca is a mess. She finally got it that she is alone. She needed the reality check. And she must be desperate to help April (which she knows only form the party) with her father's death.
Damn. Interesting theory. How did you get to it? Well, I think that these hunters are definitely connected to magic. How strong? That is still for us to find out. And I do believe that with enough magic you can do almost anything. But Bonnie already tried to bring her back while she was in transition and the spirits stopped her. Now she's a full vampire. I doubt that there is a way to bring her back. And I'm not even talking consequences now. But on the other side: When Esteher turned her children into vampires, it was a blood ritual, so was probably the curse she used on Klaus. Breaking the curse, blood ritual, turning Alraic, blood ritual. See any pattern? So maybe he knows a way to sacrifice the hunters and hopes to bring her back?
..was a little bit confusing but perfect klaus protecting his children but also keep in secrets so classic and treacherous, creating dangerous alliance for personal gain, damon try to help elena in became a normal vampire in a very damon way feed but learn control,i am sorry for stefan his point of view about this situation between him and elenas AGREE.she could became him but worth & THE HUNTER .i know he is hide something but our handsome and attractive villainous klaus will explain that
Nice transition episode, lots to build up, pacing was a bit jumpy, too many characters and stories to balance it all, but it was only sorta jarring. Frankly some of the actions were just silly like Damon in the trailer (why not rip off the end of the arrow? Break the line? Not worry about a bomb that won't hurt him anyway?) and Elena *showing up* Rebekah with a keg stand and vampire hunter pulling kids out of class and beating them in the hallways. But oh well, it is TVD. I think we've got some interesting places to go, so all in all good!
1) Stefan pulled an Angel only is somehow off of ALL fun, not just "true happiness," great I think? Cause I can't enjoy life or I'll be a rabid killer is so a fantastically enjoyable character trait. Plus all that guilt and shame manipulation of Elena is just awesome.
2) This is what is wrong with Mystic Falls...everybody hates Damon. The bad boys are the only ones who talk sense (and humor). Stefan is concerned about "fun" but not the stress-inducing vampire hunter and not about helping Elena controlling her blood lust? Dude, find a job that isn't just being the happiness police and discussing how much Elena wants to cry or trying to make her cry.
3) Tyler cheated on Caroline! Jerk. Major, major jerk. But if they start up some secondary triangle with Stefan and Caroline, I am not going to be a happy viewer. They don't need to take everybody loves Caroline literally.
4) I know a lot of people feel that Klaus has outlived his usefulness, but beyond being the mythology encyclopedia for the show, he also gets to save entire episodes with lines like "Truth be told, I am as evil as it gets" and "For future reference one voice mail is just as effective as nine." I wish he was going to be Damon's new friend instead of icky, lecturery Meredith. They were great toying with the hunter. So much fun.
5) If there is one thing that I like Rebekah doing it is playing mean girl. Until I think I was supposed to feel sorry for her or whatever. I kinda wished hallucination Matt was nastier in the delivery or he'd brought the promised dodgeball.
6) I was skeptical about how fast the vampire hunter figured out Tyler was a hybrid, did someone leave him a note? And if so why didn't they include that the originals were in town? Felt like a pretty big plot hole. He knows some stuff, but not much, which makes him seem kinda dumb and outclassed, which makes me want him easier to kill. Like why not do some recon before charging in and snipering people? Hopefully under Klaus' protection and with some knowledge in him, he'll get a better reason to still be breathing.
7) Guys, Jeremy is just adorable, find something interesting for him to do!!! And then give him scenes to talk about it!
A werewolfbite can't kill an original .. elijah mentioned it once .. so i guess the posion won't kill rebekah.. maybe it just takes a bit time til its out or her system and then she will feel better
I {{heart}} Rebekah. That chick is creatively sadistic. She had me laughing gleefully. I was actually okay with the way Klaus was re-introduced into the landscape. But the Tyler/Hayley thing hit me like lazy soap writing. Did love Klaus' subtle "you tell Caroline the truth or I will" speech. ;-) Lots of scenes to love... Caroline/Stefan, Damon/Meredith.
Someone needs to smack Matt upside the head. Sweetie...You are not a cow. Hopefully, Damon's hunting training will get him out of that rutt.
Thing that I'm most concerned about is the Jeremy the future hunter thing. Is he going to become the protector of Mystic Falls (against invading vampires) or is he going to hit the road?
April still looks too much like Anna for me not to think that that's going to come in to play somewhere down the line.
Don't think so, they implied pretty heavily that they'd had a sexual relationship. Also, Tyler wouldn't have been panicked about telling Caroline about her if she were his long lost half sister. I think that was just as stated....he found their pack when he left town the second time and they had a fling.
"Matt can't take vervain if Elena is feeding on him. It would poison her." Matt wouldn't have to ingest vervain. He could wear a bracelet like Jeremy does. That way, he can prevent compulsion but not poison his blood.
"I'm not buying Klaus being a good guy for a mil.sec. You?" Hell no, I'm not buying it. Klaus is working his own agenda like he always does.
Didn't see the photo recap posted for last week's ep, but here's the recap for this past episode from tv.com: http://www.tv.com/news/the-vampire-diaries-the-rager-review-keg-stand-and-deliver-photo-recap-29928/

I don't think so. If they've had sex, I would certainly hope not. That would be awkward and more than a bit icky.
