  1. Ok I have to admit, that this was a better episode than the rest. I liked the flashbacks, and their use makes me want to watch more. You all know that there are some faults in the show, and I'm not gonna beat a dead horse here anymore, but the story and the plots are making me look past them more.

I voted OK because there is not a "good" choice. I wouldn't call it awesome or even great. It was good so OK it is.

I was seriously double guessing myself for watching this week because after last week I was ready to abandon ship, but I'm glad I did watch. If the story keeps getting better as it did this week then 'm sure I will likely stick around.

  2. I dont understand why the votes are so staggered. That was a really excellent episode. This show keeps getting better and better. Im so glad it got a full season pick-up.

  3. It's still getting better, still has a ways to go. It's getting a bit grittier too, so that's nice. A shame they killed one of the few characters I really liked so soon.

I like this show but I want to like it more. There is a saying in entertainment: "never assume anything about your audience". The producers should take note of this saying because they're assuming the audience is stupid. The show doesn't need the expository narrative in the opening credits explaining what the show is about. The "previously on" should take care of that and people should be savvy enough to figure it out without them. About this episode in particular; WTF?! There's gotta be more plausible and compelling ways to kill off a character. OK I get it (remember don't assume we're all stupid). The point was for Dani to say "don't leave me, everybody leaves me!" and for Myles to say "I promise I won't leave you". Yeah OK but did they need to waste so much time around a ridiculous threat like Crazy Dog Guy? There was absolutely no point to the conversation between him and Dani. We already know she's a good and sympathetic person. So his sad story doesn't reveal anything about her it just wastes time: for what? A completely random Batman death trap. Again: to what purpose? None whatsoever. Trumped up fake drama that's supposed to fill us with suspense about an imminent threat to a central character. Remember producers about not assuming things about your audience? You're assuming we're stupid. We're not. You've got a great concept here that could be so much better.

  5. Another great episode. I sad about Maggie's death, but is necessary for Miles and Charlies development.

  6. Im Loving this show more and more....this is like a typical JJ Abrams show....always leaving us with questions after every epi...just like in Lost where we looked for answers every epi only to find even more questions, LOL...Loving It !!!!!.....☺....

  7. Well, this was the last ep to keep me in the fold for a little while longer, but even though there was some ok elements: namely the bits of backstory and perhaps the the reveal that Miles was in fact a big tool back in the day, but the writing was too predictable and the acting still not much better than before and killing off Maggie (which was character I was interested in learning about) was the decider for me, time to cut the show loose. I'm glad for the fans that the show will at least run a full season, but this isn't the show I was hoping for.

I really liked it! Although I am sad about Maggie. I was really glad they gave us the flashbacks about her though.

  10. Miles is doing his best to carry this show, but Charlie, Danny, and Nate a dragging it down. They should have killed them off and had the main group consist of Miles, Nora, Maggie, and Aaron.

  11. Ok episode, better than the others (sans last week's), but not great. Miles is pretty much the only character, along with whatever Giancarlo Esposito name is on the show, that is entertaining and interesting to watch. When they announced there'd be a death in this episode I was pretty confident that it was going to be the girl who died since she was the least important to the group. Flashbacks were good but still not enough.

I have a 5 episode policy, so if it doesn't grab me next week, bye bye Revolution for me.

  12. Good episode last night, its too bad they had to kill off Maggie i've come to like her quite a bit.I,m curious as to why Rachel left her husband and kids to go with Miles,i can't even guess why, guess we'll be finding out eventually.

One thing i noticed with Bad Robot is they sure know how to pick cryers! Every lead female can cry on a dime, and not just a tear but go into a full blown crying jag!

  13. Uh, don't think Miles was a "big tool" ...more like the "big man." Question is why he left.

  14. kinda agree on that one except i don't really like Nora...

  15. There's something off about it. Something in the timing and the dragged out suspense that nonetheless leads to a predictable and boring result (the bad guy recuffing Danny, Charlie's moment of danger - especially after Maggie's life is in peril) ... the pacing seems designed to be suspenseful but is just annoying (like the person who wants you to incessantly guess what's in the wrapped present even though you've said, "Just tell me already").

Very good acting, I thought. Billy Burke is always good, as is Elizabeth Mitchell. I like the Charlie character, actually. In fact, the only characters I dislike at the moment are Munroe and whatever the guy's name is who is with Danny.

Too much tromping around in the dystopian landscape and new threads to follow and not enough tethering of old threads to the main story. The one area in which I feel Bad Robot is not-so-good is in the balance of open questions, answers and new questions. It sometimes feels a little like the old saying "If you can't blind them with brilliance, baffle them with bulls**it".

I don't know ... it's losing me soon, even with Billy Burke who I adore as an actor. One or two more episodes and we'll see, I guess.

  16. Your post made me smile. Although it is not *my* cup of tea, I know there are plenty of viewers who like dense mysteries. I like things to be bookended ... an answer for every question either in direct response or implied in a way that makes sense to me - which is not to be confused with the pejorative term "spoon fed". When the questions start to pile up I find that the story starts to twist itself to maintain question/answer/mystery integrity while losing overall cohesion, That's just me. My son has a similar response to this show, a sort of hands rubbing together sense of gleeful ... "oh goody, lots of crazy knots to untie." Power to you all :)

  18. Sighs kind of knew it would be Maggie after she got to see her kids pics last week. A real shame as I actually liked the character and it seems a waste to lose her.

Episode had a few nice character moments such as Danny and Neville during the storm and Maggie talking about Ben and the kids saving her.

However the overall plot is still pretty dull and predictable. So called mysteries aren't that gripping.

Line of the week 'SHUT UP CHARLIE'

  19. Acting is definitely not Graham Rogers' (Danny) forte. He's sex on legs, but not a good actor unfortunately. He'd be perfect for eastern european porn, tho.

  20. Happy to have made u smile....and try to help ur son untie all those crazy knots, lol...☺.....

  21. Good episode but sad to see the death of Maggie.

  22. It's getting better. I think it would have been more interesting if Danny and Neville had sort of joined forces instead on Neville handcuffing him again. Neville is definitely the most interesting character. I hope he stays a big part of the story.

Sorry to see Maggie go. She seemed like an interesting character. I do like that they kill off characters and bring them back in flashbacks like lost did. Makes the show interesting.

It will be interesting to find out why Miles left the Monroe government and why he summoned Rachel. What does she know or what can she do?

Aaron is also an interesting character. Hopefully they will develop him more as they get into why the lights went out and how to get them back on.

  23. best episode so far. I was glad the writers killed Maggie off. I probably liked it so much because of the Elizabeth Mitchell scenes. I'll keep watching a bit longer.

  24. It was by far the best episode yet. I really loved it. Everything about it really worked. Loved the gang of Miles, Charlie, Nate, Nora, Maggie and Aaron and their messed up dynamics, lvoed the evolving relationship between Miles and Charlie, liked the monroe/dannys scenes and absolutely loved both the maggie flashbacks and the elizabeth mitchell scenes. I am sad they killed of maggie, i loved her flashbacks and would have liked her to see reunited with her kids, but i guess i have to trust them and see why did it. It's good that they wont pile off characters and are willing to kill them as it goes. Let's see where that takes us. Also, I am soo intrigued by the whole Rachel storyline. Why did she leave? What did Miles want with her? Loved the final twist with Miles btw. This episode really was awesome.

  25. Good episode. I have a feeling I'm going to like this show, but it is still finding its feet. Sorry to Maggie, but I couldn't really care less that she died and won't miss her. I haven't been quite sure what the point of her has been since the show started.

Did anyone else think Rachael was drawing a Dharma logo in that scene?

Also, great casting for little Charlie. She looks just like big Charlie... and is posibly a better actress. :O actually that's a bit unfair. I think the acting was definitely notched up for this episode. I hope it stays the same level, at minimum.
