Good job, Emily! Manipulate Daniel into attempting to help his sister, who will then reject him because of his lack of faith in her, then show up and become the person she wants to cling on to. Her father hurting her to gain her inheritance, and the loss of both her brother and mother creates a void in her life that she will attempt to fill by putting her trust in Emily.
Then make her meet her pregnant sister to create an anchor to keep her from leaving with her mother. After that, she admits to her mother that she doesn't have the money, then deliver the information about a pregnant Amanda to really make it hit home. With her options suddenly disappearing in front of her, she'll make her daughter hate her to keep that guy from hurting her daughter.
Now without her mother, she'll grow even closer to Emily because she's the only one who hasn't let her down.
I have to give it to Victoria this time, however. That was one hell of a hail mary.
I have to hand it to this show's writers, they really know a thing or two about human behavior.
Once again, I think Charlotte's life sucks. At first I thought Victoria was just trying to save her own butt, but apparently she goes the extra 10 miles to protect Charlotte, even though it means hurting her. I cant decide if she's a really good mother or a horrible one. I think Charlotte should have gone to live with Emily, even though the White-Haired-Man was on the loose (until he was shot), I think Emily is a good influence on Charlotte…well some of the time. I think Charlotte might start to revert back to the drugs a little, if she stays at that house any longer. I honestly don't see how Conrad can live with Victoria again, if he is so sick of her. I also don't understand why he would want to go through the trouble of making another lie that will eventually bite them all in the ass, as it usually does.
Victoria and Conrad are unbelievable. Victoria fakes her own kidnapping and makes Conrad beat her up and hand-cuff her in order to make it look like a kidnapping. And Conrad tells Daniel that he used Charlotte's inheritance for ransom payment for Victoria's kidnapping
Why the critics were wrong last season when they declared this show wouldn't make it....because they do massively insane things life Victoria having Conrad beat her up so she could return to "life". LOL
Daniel is slowly growing a brain. Loved that the white haired man went straight to Emily for evidence to prove him innocent....however I was highly disappointed (and it felt a little out of character to me) that Emily wasn't ready for (or even suspicious) that he'd double cross her. She knows what kind of man this is and she was completely unprepared!?!?! Shame on you writers!
Declan...seriously...you bought the bracelet story? You don't see that coming? Really? So, Nolan is gonna have to bail him out of jail.
Is that Account Analyst/CFO Nolan's new interest? Ugh! Not liking her so far. Don't trust her. Hopefully, Nolan's as savvy in this arena as we've been led to believe.
Emily's reaction to Charlotte is a bit of an enigma to me. I don' t think I've seen a single scene where she seems to care for her sister. Emily's invitation to Charlotte felt to me like just another way to use the girl against Victoria. It makes me think sometimes that Emily's quest for revenge may make her irredeemable...though perhaps that's why Takada send that guy.
Emily definitely follows her agenda, but I don't think she would truly sacrifice Charlotte to achieve her goals. I believe we've seen glimpses of sincere emotion in the scene at the beach. Also, last season she changed her mind about revealing Charlotte the truth to spare her feelings.
aweeesome! even better than the premiere! i loved almost everything about this one. I just dont care for the jack storyline, it's very boring. I like Daniel and Emily sooo much better and the potential it has (her falling for her "Target", way more interesting).
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
A crazy Sunday night ride, as always.

I swear this show has more layers than an onion. So complicated and I don't think we have seen one quarter of the players who are/were involved.
ReplyDeleteVictoria is one clever woman, I loved how she managed to get back into the real world with her fake kidnapping.

All in all....loved the ep!
