Decent episode, but I'm mostly just glad Jess is getting back to her normal self. I did enjoy all of the Nick/Jess stuff, and I love that they're getting stronger, even if it's just as friends. The Winston story line just seemed like it was haphazardly tossed in there, though. Kind of random.
Loved all of the Nick/Jess moments. Loved that they finally admitted an attraction and that every scene basically proved how amazing they'd be together. I DIDN'T like the "fluffer" element. Felt too contrived. Feels like there are more satisfying ways the writers could have formed these realizations and pushed the conversation forward. I did also enjoy Schmidt and Cece in this. Their "friendship" is fabulous. Winston's storyline was... meh. But I'm happy they're giving him SOMETHING to work worth. Overall, I enjoyed the episode, but it was less than I expected.
I LOOVED the episode. It wasn't as much laugh out loud as the premiere (but that was one of the best of the show IMO), but I really liked the comic moments and especially the heart they gave the episode. Nick and Jess are incredible together, they are hillarious, and I love the messy portrayal of friendship/attraction, so real in real life. 5 stars.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Definitely not the strongest of episodes but lots of Nick/Jess :)
