  1. another strong ep. nice work by all, Scott Speedman in particular for me tonight. Really curious on the murky waters that Autumn Reaser's character is swimming in, and kind of intrigued by the conflicted SEAL member. I do like that we get to hear Dichen Lachman in her native Aussie accent...

  2. Solid episode, probably not as good as the pilot, but still damn good and probably my favorite new show this season (Go On would be the only other one for me). Hope it does well in the ratings and sticks around. Scott Speedman impressed me tonight, never thought too much of him but he did well tonight, and Andre Braugher is always great. Plus Autumn Reeser... mmm, she's pretty.

  3. To the writers credit...I was pissed that the American news media was telling lies about the Captain. :-)

One problem I'm having is that the names of the players back in Washington are not sticking. Didn't expect the woman's (who put the prototype on the sub) contact to get killed.

I don't know who the good guys in Washington are (other than the Admiral) ...or if there are any. Thing is...I'm really curious to find out. I'm really enjoying this show.

  8. Marcus is so intense and often insane but still someone I am rooting for. I really like his relationship with Sam.

Love this show. I like the idea of honor and duty colliding - it makes for such nuanced "good" and "bad" guys. It's hard to hate Prosser, because his motivation is duty, which to him is honor. Chaplin and Kendal's motivation is honor, which to them is duty. Very interesting tension there.

It's interesting and one hopes they get into that issue - American soldiers, if I am not mistaken, take their oath to the Constitution, not the government or even the President. So, it *does* become a personal decision at some point. For me, this is the issue the show is exploring.

I am very interested to understand the Navy Seals connection and why King says it is his fault and what the faulty intelligence was that began this whole thing. Also the new stealth technology and the obvious potential tension there with the government not actually in possession of the ability to counteract it and the unclear character and motivation (beyond the obvious) of Sinclair. Add in the whole subplot involving Kendal's wife and it's gearing up to be a very high thread count story. I like dense stories that don't need to rely on drawn out human drama cliffhangers and twists to advance.

I like action that follows the characters, not characters that follow the action. I think this is why I prefer Last Resort to Revolution so far. I prefer watching from a driver's seat, not a passenger seat. Even though they have the entire US war machine on them, they still feel to me as if they are calling the game - now an unbalanced ledger like that almost guarantees a good story if the writers stay on course.

  11. I think it is a good show. It will never be as good as a HBO og FX show, but it is a good show - much better than Revolution. Still Revolution get´s the better ratings, and I think it is such a shame.

  14. This is the best new show of the season IMO. The second episode certainly did not disapoint. It was intense, riveting and I could really care for these characters. The acting was top-notch and so was the writing. Particularly, Scott Speedman impressed me, he was really good and I really care for his Sam. I also like Grace and James a lot. And even supporting players such as Sophie. God, I so want this show to survive!

  15. Just watched the pilot and the second episode: solid script, good acting! I think I will drop revolution for this show :-)

  16. Still watching. I like the idea, but it seems like it has to be more of a mini-series that ends rather than a multiple season show. I do like the acting though. Seems very real.
